"I can consider it, if any of you have any other plan, say it." I turned to others, naturally, I didn’t want to hear their plan. It was just a way to assert dominance over these two idiots.

"..." My words instantly made the two of them look up at me.

When I didn’t get any reply, I simply stepped behind, wanting to hear their bullshit in a much better position.

They continued chatting about other unimportant things, which weren’t really related to my survival. But I was still listening, because I was sure that in future these great clans and I will definitely be crossing roads.

All of a sudden, I heard a message from Mink through our summoning bond that we were being watched. I instinctively pulled Emi’s head down. Her long hair fell on my face as she looked down at me.

I was clearly able to see the shocked expression on her face, but she didn’t try to lift her head up. At least, she was more intelligent than these idiots, but again, who am I comparing her with?

I sidelined some of her hair and glanced at others. Alex and Selina were still talking with Adrine, normally, but I saw him casually using his fan to cover his face. When I turned to Ron, he wasn’t hiding his face, but his fingers were diagonally placed on his lips while his head rested on his palm.

He was clearly telling us to keep silent, but except for Adrine and me, no one seemed to get it.

Suddenly, I heard the sound of wing flapping coming from outside the window; it was so subtle that I couldn’t notice it casually.

As an expert survivor, I didn’t try to look outside, and Emi also didn’t move, as both of remain in the same position for a few more seconds.

"Now, we can speak." Ron’s voice came, shocking Selina and Alex, who were already speaking, without taking their silence for seriousness.

As I sat up, before letting Emi lift her head. I didn’t want to risk my treasure chest in any case.

"Okay, now lift your head, it’s fine." I patted her and turned to Ron to see if he had anything to say about this matter.

"We are already on the target list of this demon," Ron stated, and just then, when I got another message from Mink, the creature that was watching was now heading towards the Wong Zhi mountain. So, as any other normal person would do, I didn’t order him to follow it and find the location it would go to. Instead, I ordered him to eat as many candies as he could, because he wouldn’t be getting any big feast soon.

"So, I guess, we will soon be attacked by some strong monsters, with these two being on their hunting list." Ron completed his sentence. His words almost made Alex cry, and even Selina couldn’t keep her calm.

Hearing his words, I simply stood from my place, as it was finally the time to say goodbye, "Guys, so I will take my leave now. If you survive, you should definitely give me a party."

"What are you waiting for? Let’s not disturb them anymore." I turned to Emi; there was no way I would be leaving her behind.

"Hey, where are you running away?" Alex called me out.

I ignored him and picked up a bag from the house and walked out of the room, without even leaving a word behind.

"What do you think? Should we follow him?" I clearly heard Adrine asking Ron for an opinion, instead of stopping me.

"No, this way has better odds," Ron’s words clearly came into my ears. Well, luckily, I didn’t have to fight them when leaving the group, like normal manhwa, where these great clan heir quickly get a blow on their ego once someone went against them.

Emi didn’t ask me any questions, simply following behind.

Coming out of that place, I simply head into the deeper part of the city, looking for a nice place to stay for some time. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

Staying with Adrine and Ron was really hard from the start. The more comfortable it felt dangerous it was. But I needed to have some understanding of the situation before making my move, so I stayed with them.

Now, I know what I needed to do, and I will do it, without any shame. Farming rewards from the system is the only thing that can help me at this moment.

With the undead soldier clearing the way for us, it was way easier to walk through the streets. I quickly found a place to stay, another shop, where Mink was eating his candy while also protecting a few civilians there.

"Why are you wandering outside?" As we walked into the shop, one of the older ladies stood up and invited us inside, in her old, rigid way.

As I walked inside, I glanced at Mink, who was munching on candies.

"Don’t worry, he won’t harm you, just don’t disturb him. He had been eating candies here for a while." Hearing the old lady’s words, I said nothing.

I simply pulled Mink out of the candy box, his cheeks inflated with candies, as he was slowly munching them.

"Stopp..." As I did so, everyone roared out in unison and, afraid that I might annoy their protector.

I was grabbing him upside down by his tail as I went up to them, and said with a cold face. He is my pet, see, now make a way for me, I need a moment of silence, to make a plan to save this city. Of course, only if the system gave good enough rewards, or even just being able to run away with mine and Emi’s lives would already be a good outcome.

They quickly did, as I said, emptying a single room for us, quickly.

Now, Emi, Mink and I sat together.

"Why did we leave that group?" Emi couldn’t control her curiosity any longer and asked.
