SSS-rank Legendary Draw: Every Drop Becomes a Legendary Item
Chapter 33: They’re not coming?
His eyes traced the flawless color, contrasting beautifully against the deep, thick black stripes that were spread out lightly all across its incredibly expansive surface.
He looked at the remarkable quality of the legendary item for a long moment, a genuine sense of wonder washing over his mind, and he thought softly, ’It is actually... incredibly beautiful.’
The specific, intricate pattern at which those bold black stripes crossed over the glowing white fur was strangely and deeply mesmerizing to look at.
The lines seemed to flow naturally like liquid silk across the plush material, drawing his eyes in and making it almost impossible for him to easily look away from the majestic artifact.
Leon slowly exhaled a long, heavy breath, consciously focusing his mind to deactivate the powerful effect of Radiant Ascension.
The moment he cut off the skill, the brilliant golden light radiating from his body immediately began to fade away, returning his appearance back to normal.
It was indeed an exceptionally powerful, god-like SS-rank skill that granted him unmatched physical dominance on the battlefield, but its continuous mana consumption was simply too taxing on his current pool.
He could feel a wave of fatigue washing over him, proving that he couldn’t afford to leave such an advanced transformation active when there were no immediate threats around.
He turned his attention back to the massive, feather-light fur resting securely in his hands, a curious expression forming on his face
’Divine White Tiger... I truly wonder what kind of incredibly powerful monster that is supposed to be.’ he thought.
He knew of many high-ranking monsters from his years of studying at the academy, but a divine creature was completely unheard of.
He then carefully stored the massive white fur away inside his dark system inventory space, deciding to check its official description later.
With his hands finally free, he turned his entire body back toward the dark orange gate entrance behind him, his dark eyes narrowing slightly in deep suspicion.
The swirling vortex continued to pulsate with a heavy magical pressure, but the area directly around it remained completely empty and quiet.
He tilted his head to the side, a confused expression crossing his face as he muttered, "Those annoying players aren’t coming after me inside here anymore?"
With how incredibly angry and furious every single one of them had seemed when he initially jumped straight into the dungeon gate on the street, he had fully and naturally expected them to jump in right after him to hunt him down.
He waited for a few more seconds, but the orange surface of the rift didn’t ripple or flash with the arrival of any human signatures.
’I guess those cowards are still being incredibly careful outside.’ he thought.
The players probably felt that them blindly entering the dangerous dungeon along with a powerful rogue element like him was simply too risky of a tactical move.
They were likely terrified that he could easily ambush them at the entrance spawn point and use that chance to completely kill them all off one by one before they could even adjust to the environment.
The absolute truth of the entire matter was, those players weren’t completely wrong in their cautious assumptions at all.
If those fourteen arrogant combatants had actually been foolish enough to jump through that gate, Leon would have gladly used his flames to slaughter every single one of them without a shred of hesitation.
Within the lawless confines of a dungeon, those arrogant guild members would be left completely at his absolute mercy, cut off entirely from any outside backup or governmental laws.
The fact that they were wisely choosing to remain outside the gate right now, though, didn’t exactly mean they had given up on him.
Leon knew the political landscape of the guilds far too well to believe they would just walk away after being humiliated by a lone intruder.
He was entirely sure that the leaders of both the Rainy Shine Guild and the Cross Block Guild were frantically organizing their forces to set up a massive ambush the exact moment he stepped back out of the gate.
He didn’t care much about their desperate defensive preparations, though, completely brushing off the incoming threat without a single trace of anxiety or fear.
With the immense power he now possessed, he highly doubted whatever pathetic ambush they could possibly come up with would ever stand up against him and his divine blade.
He calmly clicked his tongue in slight annoyance, his sharp eyes glancing around at the severed, smoking sabertooth tiger corpses scattered messily all over the rocky path.
The heat from his previous attack had completely stopped the bleeding, but the smell of scorched flesh still lingered heavily in the damp air.
’It is honestly such a pity... I will have to completely abandon most of these high-tier corpses right here on the ground.’ he thought.
The issue was a matter of storage as his low-level system inventory could only store a maximum of twelve items at any given time.
There had been over ten massive sabertooth tigers in the initial wave, and since every single one of them was now sliced into two separate halves, they took up far too much space for his current storage capacity to handle.
Since these sabertooth tigers were genuine C-rank monsters, their massive corpses were certainly incredibly valuable on the market, capable of fetching thousands of gold from specialized blacksmiths and potion makers.
The absolute most valuable parts of their bodies were their huge, one-foot-long razor fangs and their thick, striped hides, which could be used to manufacture high-grade protective armor.
Knowing he couldn’t carry everything, he simply approached the nearest remains and placed exactly four of the least-damaged sabertooth corpses inside his inventory, watching them vanish.
He left the remaining six shattered carcasses resting on the dirt, saving the rest of his empty storage slots for the valuable loot he expected to find deeper inside the dungeon core.
With his immediate inventory management taken care of, he took a slow step back and decided it was finally time to review his upgrades from the double level up.
He cleared his throat and then thought, ’Status window.’
