“The four regions have been gripped by extreme turmoil since the rise of New Martial. Light and Skycloud are facing off, Blazing Sun and New Martial are at war. The ascendancy of the human race is no longer!” the Phoenix master called out in charged tones.

“Thunder World has long hoped for powerhouses of the three regions to come to its aid. There is no possibility of that anymore!” declared the phoenix.

“Thunder World is incredibly important—much more so than regular seventh rank worlds. The Dragon master could have conquered it a long time ago, but he is so dominating that the world is bound to be destroyed when he makes a move!

“Not only does the world represent a dao universe to bring under our control, but they are an even more important key passageway. Thunder Region obstructs countless exalted emperors from coming and going out of the four regions. The only world that can survive passage is Thunder World!”

This was very important! It was exceedingly important!

It didn’t matter if chaos beasts only cared about the four regions, but once their eyes stretched beyond the four, then Thunder World was all too important. The world and its dao universe were both important because they could come and go from Thunder Region.

While there was enough danger that the current Thunder World didn’t dare brashly make an attempt, that was also because they were too weak. They only had one seventh rank in residence and lacked energy inside the world.

Once it came under dragon control and was supported by an eighth rank, endless energy would filter in to consolidate the world. Thunder World would not be a simple world then, but a bridge that connected inside and out.

They would be able to advance offensively and retreat defensively with it!

Outsiders could not enter the four regions with their worlds, but those of the four regions could ferry their worlds out through the Thunder World. That was the key.

Thunder World didn’t matter if one didn’t have greater plans for the chaos. Once they did, then not only was Thunder World pivotal, but it had to be claimed in full. The Thunder master had to die so they could seize the dao universe and the world. Whoever controlled Thunder World would occupy an important status and advantage in the tumult to come.

This was the present that the Phoenix master had prepared for her daughter—the present for her ascension to seventh rank!

It was also a present for the Dragon master’s heir. No matter how unparalleled and undying the Dragon master was, obtaining the title of his heir would result in acceptance from a majority of draconic powerhouses.

The phoenixes could become the foremost race beneath the dragons!

Hot ambition stirred in the Phoenix master; success was within grasp! Dragon major world had marched into battle. Phoenix might not have a chance to obtain Thunder World in the future if they did not do so now.

There were certain rivals that she had to keep an eye on in the other twelve worlds of the Chaos Alliance. Take the snake hussy, for one, and that fox strumpet in far off Qingqiu Fox major world—they were her greatest competition.

Did they fight her for the Dragon master’s favor?

No!

They fought for the future and destiny of their race!

Whoever occupied first mover advantage now would be the greatest race beneath the dragons once the Dragon master’s grand enterprise was complete. They would have an immense upper hand when it came to resources, worlds, powerhouses, and dao universes.

And so, the Phoenix master’s passion swelled. “All exalted emperors are to prepare themselves. The Dragon master’s battlefield is outside the region, whereas ours is at Thunder World! Killing its word master is our mission. Your mission is... to kill all Thunder heavyweights!

“Damaging the world is strictly forbidden as we are to occupy it in full. The exalted emperors in the Foreign Affairs Office will be our vanguard. They do not need to know what our goals are, they just need to follow orders!

“Phoenix has taken in countless exalted emperors over the years and supplied them endless benefits. It is time for them to be useful! Recall all of our exalted emperors. Those who do not return will be shown no mercy!”

“......” Standing beneath her mother, Feng Yan frowned slightly. She hadn’t anticipated that war would commence so quickly.

Ten years was not a long time, but her royal mother was already mobilizing their people. It looked like hostilities were imminent. Then... did she need to call back the fifth rank Black Dog and his sixth rank world?

Her mother was still issuing orders, so Feng Yan didn’t raise this question. She could inquire after the preparations ended. She’d just permitted Black Dog to leave, perhaps he’d already started absorbing the sixth rank world. A certain amount of time was needed for that, so it... wouldn’t be that appropriate to summon him back so quickly.

Not to mention, they’d agreed that he wouldn’t be assigned a mission for ten years.

The Phoenix master continued her rousing speech before ending with a flourish. Exalted emperors went about their business or finished pending breakthroughs. Phoenix would supply its people with dao strength in the days to come, as well as make its store of treasures and dao foundation crystals freely available.

All of this immensely excited the Phoenix exalted emperors.

When everyone left.

Princess Feng Yan stepped forward and asked hesitantly, “Royal mother, are we marching on Thunder World soon?”

“Yes, three months at the quickest. But we need to wait until the Dragon master reaches Blazing Sun Region and comes in official contact with New Martial and Blazing Sun. Perhaps we will wait until word travels back of official hostilities. That will be when Thunder World is most relaxed!”

Three months was the blink of an eye in the backdrop of the chaos. It might be entirely spent on travel time. Hearing that response, Feng Yan knew that war was at hand.

“I thought that some more time might be needed, so I promised that Black Dog that I wouldn’t summon him in ten years. But now that we’re about to march, does royal mother think...”

“It’s fine!” smiled the Phoenix master. “A fifth rank won’t make a difference to our operation! But if we do attack Thunder World, our world will depart the premises as well. If conflict arises in the other regions, then the intersection of Phoenix and Dragon might not be safe. Black Dog can assess the situation himself!”

A fifth rank was not bad, but not the key to victory. One fifth rank more or less wouldn’t make a difference. The Phoenix master didn’t mind this detail.

“Don’t dwell on it too much. Black Dog is just a fifth rank. If we are able to take Thunder World and you use that opportunity to ascend to seventh rank... Yan’er, remember that seventh rank is the true powerhouse of the chaos. Only seventh ranks have the right to do many things, do you understand?”

“I understand.”

“That’s good!” The Phoenix master breathed out softly. “Out of the Chaos Alliance members, Dragon will be setting forth in battle and we will be targeting Thunder World. If things do not go smoothly, the worlds of Giant Elephant, Valiant Tiger, and Treasure will help us!

“The other seven worlds will set their sights on the five worlds belonging to monster spirits, but they will just encircle those worlds. Negotiations or further battle will be decided upon our victorious return. This will decide whether or not Dragon Region can be unified!

“Yan’er, if we are able to accomplish enough deeds of merit before the Dragon master returns, your future will be much brighter than mine!”

Feng Yan nodded without a word. Dragon Region had been at peace for many years, it would likely be engulfed in mayhem for a while to come. Since her royal mother had said it was fine... then she was in no hurry to call back Black Dog.

Boom!

Dragon major world continued to move. Those in the vicinity thought this was an illusion at first, but as the world continued to glide forward and draconic powerhouses cleared the way ahead of them, the entire region became aware that Dragon major world was marching into battle!

No one was worried, they were more excited and agitated. Those in the world’s path quickly moved their worlds out of the way. The Dragon master was going to conquer human major worlds!

One had to know that Dragon Region was once human territory as well. The seventh and eighth rank worlds owned by the region also previously belonged to human masters. This region only gradually became chaos beast territory due to the Dragon master’s leadership.

Scenes of past grandeur came to mind for some of the older exalted emperors. This was how it’d been before as well—the Dragon master had set forth on his grand conquest, followed by vast numbers of powerhouses. He’d ripped out a large domain for chaos beasts from human territory!

The Dragon master sat loftily over all, in no hurry to do anything but look at a map in front of him. It fully detailed the four regions, even the minor worlds.

A dense cluster of worlds was arrayed in front of him. Apart from worlds controlled by monster spirits and Thunder World, all other worlds in Dragon Region were labeled with gold. Gold represented Dragon’s sphere of influence.

There were some gold worlds within the three regions, indicating how far Dragon’s authority had spread. A portion of them were half red and half gold, or half white and half gold.

Gold stood for control, red for the enemy, and white meant that the world could be eradicated or recruited.

Apart from those, some massive stars could also be seen in the map. The Dragon master erased one of them with a wave of his hand—it was the one that’d belonged to Red Moon.

Red Moon Region was nearly obliterated after recent events. It lacked an eighth rank major world and five seventh rank worlds. New Martial had run off, leaving a few seventh rank worlds behind. They were unable to come together in an effective alliance; this was an age dominated by eighth rank worlds. They could only choose to quietly dwell off to the side.

The Dragon master’s gaze shifted toward Skyward Region. Skyward was the heart of the four regions and this region was the strongest. It possessed two eighth rank worlds and more than a dozen seventh rank worlds. It fully measured up to Dragon Region.

Most of its worlds were red, a small portion was white, and a few pinpricks of gold could be seen.

Gold was even rarer in far off Blazing Sun Region, but it did exist.

A red star roved through the map—New Martial. The Dragon master could not pinpoint New Martial’s location, so he represented New Martial with that star.

The dragon looked quietly at the stars in front of him. Who should he start with?

Light? Or Skycloud?

New Martial was hard to lock down, so perhaps... Blazing Sun?

Various ideas popped into his mind before the Dragon master abruptly tilted his head at someone. “There seems to be many worlds gathering south of Dragon major world. What is taking place there?”

“In response to my liege, Phoenix recently recruited a fifth rank dog race exalted emperor and has given this area to him as his territory. The Exalted Black Dog Emperor is calling all world masters within his territory to share the sixth rank bestowed by Phoenix. Hence, many world masters have been moving toward Black Dog world lately.

“This is not labeled on the map,” the Dragon master said faintly.

“...he is such a recent addition to the region that the maps have not been updated yet,” gabbled the terrified speaker. “We will do so immediately!”
