The Governors are still at the border, but they have failed to find the Tier-9 Beast. It is unknown whether the Tier-9 Beast has sensed their intentions or not.

The beast is not showing up at all. They were getting frustrated. In the end, they decided to lend a helping hand to others.

There are Beast Taming Heads who are struggling, and some of their lifeline beasts are injured. If the situation continues, it will not be a good thing.

Though they were standing at the border, they had been keeping an eye on the battlefield. Both of them looked at each other.

"It’s time to help them. Otherwise, we will lose more Tier-8 Beast Tamers," Orion said with fright.

It’s nighttime; an accident might appear.

"Okay," Martin gritted his teeth.

He didn’t want the Tier-9 Beast to appear once they were gone from the border. The battlefield was already chaotic.

The next second, both of them left the place. In the blink of an eye, they reached the battle site. They started helping the Tier-8 Heads.

The Tier-9 Black Centipede was truly cunning. It had long sensed the two Tier-8 Beast Tamers. The aura from the beast tamers is strong.

So, it didn’t expose itself. It knew what happened to the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile. The beast is clever. So many things have happened.

Yet the beast remains quiet. It wanted to test the strength of the human side. It wanted to know whether an equal powerhouse from the human side would come or not.

Now that the two Tier-8 Beast Tamers had left the place, it waited for some time. Seeing that they were not coming back, the Tier-9 Black Centipede Beast made the decision to attack.

It opened its mouth wide. Its massive body rose into the air. Thousands of legs appeared.

The massive beast rose above 100ft in height. It could see the wilderness. At this time of night, the battling had reduced; not many were taking place.

But the battles of the Tier-7 and Tier-8 Beast Tamers were still going on because they were facing more than one Tier-7 and Tier-8 Corrupted beast.

So, their hands were tied. They couldn’t waste their time on others. But they didn’t know the danger waiting for them.

The Tier-9 Black Centipede set its target. The target was the battlefield of the Tier-7 and Tier-8 Beast Tamers.

Boom!

The next moment, many poisonous spikes were shot at the battlefield site. Several black streaks of light were released from the beast.

It was the same attack which had taken the lives of many people escaping the human settlements earlier. Now, the Tier-9 Beast released the same attack.

Governor Martin and Orion wouldn’t have realized such a turnaround was coming. Even with all of their experience, they still failed to anticipate the attack.

Boom!

The black streaks of light fell on the Tier-8 Corrupted Beasts and the Tier-8 Beast Tamers who were fighting along with their Tier-8 lifeline beasts.

The lifeline beasts faced the black streaks of light as well. All of them were taken aback. Their response was too late.

A few of them were already hit by the poisonous spikes. Their lifeline beasts suffered. Those who had suffered serious injuries earlier collapsed from the poisonous spikes.

Governor Martin and Orion quickly noticed it. Their expressions changed drastically. Their eyes filled with fear. Before they knew it, the beast started attacking them.

Martin’s fear was replaced with uncontrollable anger. He wanted to go back and face the beast, but Orion stopped him.

On the other hand, the Tier-9 Black Centipede backed down. It didn’t make a continuous attack. The poison from the Tier-9 Beast was enough for them.

It’s hard to cure. If they don’t do something about it, they will die soon. If the lifeline beast dies, the beast tamer will be crippled.

If the beast tamer dies, then the lifeline beast will die as well. In this situation, the Tier-9 Beast won.

It disappeared into the deeper part of the unexplored region. If it continued to stay here, it could encounter a powerhouse of the same tier.

The Tier-9 Beast’s job was to destroy the city. It’s happening slowly, but it will soon destroy the city.

"My lifeline beast!" a Tier-8 Beast Taming Head from one of the Beast Taming Forces cried.

Similarly, the cry for help sounded. They were all Tier-8 Beast Tamers, but the poison from the Tier-9 Beast was not ordinary. It was showing results.

Governor Martin and Orion acted. They fed them healing resources. There are beast tamers with healing abilities, but they were inside the city.

Help from a Tier-7 Beast Tamer with healing power would suppress the poison for the time being. They quickly acted.

On the other hand, Head Harold was fine. He was not on that side of the battlefield. He was fighting a distance away from them, but he was very close to getting struck by the poisonous spikes.

Seeing that the heads of the forces needed help, he immediately acted. He went toward them to help.

Similarly, the Head of the Beast Taming Association stopped his fight. The black spikes reached up to him, but he was able to avoid them.

But he knows others who were injured were not as lucky. He took his vine beasts back to the mental zone.

The aircraft carrying the five elders from the Human Alliance got closer to City A. On the way, they had come across natural disasters, like storms.

Because of this, they were delayed. The elders refused to waste their energy. They knew the situation at City A was dire.

But they have confidence that the Governors and others can hold on. Last time, they did the same. However, they were early compared to last time.

When the aircraft reached the area of the city, all five elders looked toward the wilderness. They were attracted by the chaotic scenes there.

The three old men and two old women felt the auras of the Tier-8 Beast Tamers and the lifeline beasts. But they were all weak. They were injured.
