Old lady Monaca decided to return first. They will discuss other things in the meeting later. The four of them then left the place.

They flew over the wilderness to reach the city gate. Everyone saw the four Tier-9 Lords. They let out a cheer.

Then they reached the city governor’s office. The four of them walked into the room. They decided to discuss with the higher-ups first.

On the other hand, the Governors came to the office the next moment. Behind them, the Tier-8 Beast Tamers of the various family heads came to the entrance.

They were all waiting outside. Governors Martin and Orion were speaking to them. They were yet to receive permission from the Lords.

Inside, the four lords were discussing with the higher-ups from the Human Alliance. The people in the alliance were a little disappointed.

They wanted the Tier-9 Black Centipede to be dead. That’s why they had sent the top combatants. Even they had failed to kill the beast.

But they were not without results. The Tier-9 Black Centipede had suffered serious injuries. It won’t attack the 5th human zone. They can be at ease right now.

The higher-ups gave them 2 days’ time to leave, because the lords have other assignments as well.

They can’t stay here for a long time. They need to do other missions as well.

A few minutes later,

The meeting ended. Old lady Monaca was called back. She is going to leave with the other three lords.

Then they agreed to wait for two days. Then, leave the place 2 days later.

The four lords walked out of the office room. Then they saw the group of Tier-8 Beast Tamers standing outside.

They were all waiting for their answers. Governors Martin and Orion were standing before them.

Martin took courage and asked first, "Lord, what happened?"

"Are we safe?" he added.

The four lords looked at each other.

Old lady Monaca decided to tell the truth. She thinks it’s best not to hide things from the top powerhouses here, because they are the ones going to safeguard the city.

She said, "The Tier-9 Black Centipede was severely injured. It won’t appear for at least a couple of months."

Hearing that, the Beast Tamers sighed in relief. They were worried that the beast had escaped again.

It happened last time. Knowing that the lords found the beast and were able to injure it put them at ease.

Not all of them were happy, though. A few of them were disappointed. This included Head Harold.

The Dean of the Central University and the Head of the Beast Taming Association were here as well.

They were disappointed. They wanted the Tier-9 Black Centipede dead.

Knowing that it was injured and had fled from the place was okay for the time being, but it was not a permanent solution.

The Beast Tamers began to discuss things.

The lords noticed most of them were happy. Yet a few of them showed displeasure. The lords ignored them.

Old lady Monaca said, "We are going to leave the place in 2 days."

Hearing that, Martin asked, "Can we announce the news?"

Old lady Monaca nodded her head.

"You guys can tell the public. There is no need to be afraid. If you find anything in the future even if it’s a small clue or something suspicious, don’t hesitate to inform the Human Alliance."

"Even then, one of us would take time to come here," she added.

"Okay," Martin replied.

Hearing that, Orion and the others agreed with the instructions. The other beast tamers decided to increase their vigilance.

If they found anything in the wilderness, they would report it to the governors.

The four lords then told the Beast Tamers to leave. They were going to take a rest now.

The following day,

Jeremy Night woke up from his sleep. After getting out of bed, he started doing his morning routine.

He spent an hour completing his routine. He then sat down on the sofa. He picked up his device to watch the online news.

He then went online and began to stream the online news. The news anchor was saying that the battle had been won.

The Tier-9 Lords from the Human Alliance had defeated the Tier-9 Black Centipede. The Beast was injured severely.

The city is safe right now. Hearing that, Jeremy was shocked. He didn’t expect the Tier-9 Lords from the Human Alliance to find the beast so quickly.

Earlier, five of them had come, but they had failed to do anything. Yet these three Tier-9 Lords were able to accomplish the task.

Jeremy’s eyes gleamed with a twinkle. He understood the power of a Tier-9 Beast Tamer.

His ambition of going to the top three zones intensified. He decided to look for ways to enter the top three zones.

He doesn’t feel any challenge here, apart from the Tier-6 and above beasts. He can handle all the Tier-5 beasts and below.

If he could get a better breathing method, then his strength would be increased further. Then, he put away the device.

He entered the practice room. He unsheathed his blade and began to practice. He started from the basic moves.

Then, he would shift to the blade’s first move.

Time passed,

The public was rejoicing. The lords had officially announced that they had won. It was the first time they were doing it.

Earlier, the five lords had come, but they didn’t come out publicly to offer support. Yet this time, the lords made an official announcement.

So the people were celebrating the win. The medium and small-sized families heaved a sigh of relief.

They were worried that the battle would extend for a long time. If the battle continued, then they would have to send their own Beast Tamers.

It would be a huge risk. It could lead to a lot of casualties. But they were happy right now. Their families were saved.

They didn’t forget the attack from the Tier-9 Sky Crocodile earlier. They were happy that a similar incident didn’t happen again.

The Heads of the various families were in their homes. They assured the elders and family members that they had won the battle.

The city is not under attack anymore. The lords have defeated the Tier-9 beast. They are going to leave for the Human Alliance tomorrow.
