Chapter 885: Part 1: Fighting in the Special Base

The Special Base was under attack. The passengers were dying. Jeremy was hiding underneath the flight body. He saw some of them trying to escape right now.

Seeing that, his expression changed drastically. It was not easy to fool the eyes of the Tier-7 Bird Beast.

Boom!

While others tried to flee in different directions to escape from the beast,

Screech!

The corrupted bird beast didn’t hold back. The coercion released from its body. The next second, the coercion landed on the flight body.

Then the remaining coercion fell on the bodies of the fleeing people. Their bodies broke down and they died on the spot.

It happened within a few minutes. Not even Jeremy Night was spared. The coercion affected him. His internal organs were injured.

He thought that if the coercion continued, he might die next. He couldn’t leave and ran away from the place.

If he did that, then he would face the same situation as well. The coercion of the Tier-7 corrupted beast was something else.

The screams of the people became faint. He was slowly losing consciousness.

Just as he thought it was over, the unknown beast egg inside his mental zone acted. The unknown beast egg used its power to protect the contractor’s body.

A white layer of power covered his internal organs and the major parts of his body. Finally, it protected his whole body.

The coercion from the Tier-7 Corrupted bird beast no longer affected him. He sighed in relief. He thanked the unknown egg Lifeline beast.

He then began to run his inner healing method. Slowly, the bleeding stopped. He didn’t have time to think about others.

A few minutes later,

He regained his mobility. Because of the unknown lifeline beast’s protection, he could escape from the runway.

He stood up and made a run towards the massive building. It must be the operation building.

The Tier-7 Corrupted Bird Beast, which was busy destroying and eating the beast tamers, didn’t see someone fleeing from the place.

Jeremy Night reached the administration building. He saw that there were staff hiding under the tables and wide desks.

He ignored them and swept his gaze across the place. He then found the exit. He rushed towards the exit door.

When he exited the place, he saw other important buildings. He was yet to reach the exit of the special base. He had no choice other than to use his eye power.

The people who were hiding under the desks saw someone walking out of the building. They were shocked. They didn’t expect anyone to be able to walk.

They were also hearing the cries for help from the runway. They were also hearing the screech of the corrupted bird beast.

The screech alone was enough to kill them. The coercion from the Tier-7 Bird Beast was shaking the building.

If they went outside now, they would be killed as well.

Meanwhile, he saw a path toward the exit. He started walking along the path. He saw no one along the way.

Jeremy Night followed the path towards the exit.

Suddenly, a corrupted beast leaped at him. The size of the beast was above 4 meters.

Swoosh!

He immediately moved backward and unsheathed his blade. Then he began to cover the blade in starlight power.

In the blink of an eye, the blade was filled with starlight power. The beast was a Tier-5 rodent with spikes on its back.

Slash!

When the beast attacked him, he made a slash.

The starlight-filled blade cut through the underbelly of the beast. The blade successfully cleaved it open and revealed its internals.

Boom!

The beast crashed into the building.

Aahhhh!

Jeremy felt a searing pain because of his earlier injuries. He couldn’t fight now. He needed to hide.

Then he saw many Beast Tamers standing outside the gate. They were fighting against the corrupted beasts.

Their Lifeline Beasts were fighting alongside them.

The corrupted beasts seemed to be above Tier-6.

He didn’t know the exact numbers. Everything seemed chaotic.

Jeremy Night tried to find Head Harold. He didn’t know what they were doing right now.

He then collected his thoughts. He looked at the Beast Tamers. They were all Tier-5 and above. He didn’t see a single Tier-4 or lower-order Beast Tamer.

Time passed.

He continued to watch the fight.

Screech!

Suddenly, he heard another cry. Bird-type beasts appeared in mid-air. Jeremy Night was shocked.

He didn’t expect the corrupted bird beasts to appear all over the operation building all of a sudden.

The Corrupted Bird Beasts started attacking the buildings on the ground. Seeing that, Jeremy Night was shocked.

He didn’t know why the bird-type beasts were attacking the buildings. So far, he had only seen people hiding in the operation building.

Jeremy Night didn’t have time to think much about it. He quickly found a building behind him to hide.

This battle was not something he could participate in. He could feel the coercion from there.

Boom!

He was hiding, but he was using his eye power to observe the movements of the bird-type beasts. They were destroying the buildings one by one.

Eventually, the building he was hiding behind was going to be attacked soon. Jeremy tried to come up with solutions.

He was recovering from his injuries. He didn’t know how long the unknown beast egg would continue to protect his internal organs.

So, he could not take risks by fighting against the Corrupted beasts now.

As time passed, he saw the buildings going down. He watched everything with apprehension.

Meanwhile

Head Harold was fighting against the Tier-8 Corrupted Beasts deep inside the barren land.

He didn’t expect the corrupted beasts to launch a surprise attack on the special base. Most of his forces were not here.

So, the strength of the Beast Taming Force was reduced to half. He turned around and looked at the special base.

He saw something that changed his expression drastically. He saw the corrupted bird beasts circling in mid-air. One of them was the Tier-6 Beast.

He didn’t know what was happening there. The runway was close to the operational building. He could not abandon the battle in front of him.
