Elder John left the meeting hall after the meeting ended. He decided to leave for his trip in a couple of days. He had some reports to submit first.

He didn’t trust the other elders. He always suspected they would use their connections to bring in people they knew, instead of giving opportunities to truly talented Beast Tamers.

He shook his head. He knew he couldn’t control everything.

He could only take action regarding things under his control. He would try to find as many talented Beast Tamers as possible.

Some of them could have missed the opportunity, or they could be hiding their talent for some reason.

He was going to find the neglected places and look for talent there. For example, the Human Settlements. No one had paid attention to the human settlements before.

He decided to visit such places. However, he was going to start his work from the 5th Zone, City A. He didn’t know about their background, but since they had traveled on a special flight, it would be easy to collect their details.

Jeremy Night returned to the city before midnight. After going back to his room, he rested.

The following day, he did his usual practice. After the battle against the Tier-6 Ape beast, he had noticed his shortcomings, and he started working on them.

A few hours later, he sat down on the sofa. He picked up his device and turned it on, then he logged into his organization account.

He accessed the online library, wanting to browse the available skills. He thought the Rapid Steps movement skill was somewhat lacking.

While it gave him sudden acceleration, it was sometimes unsuitable when fighting against powerful beasts. He needed a new movement technique right now.

His comprehension was good, so he could learn any new technique. It was just that he hadn’t thought about it earlier.

Jeremy then applied to learn the technique. No points were needed for him. He figured the higher-ups would send the request to Head Harold. Once Head Harold saw his request, he would definitely accept it.

He didn’t close the device just yet. Out of curiosity, he began to browse the blade moves among the techniques.

He rarely used the Blade Move Method against corrupted beasts because it generated too much power; he had only used it against powerful beasts under extreme circumstances.

He needed a blade method that could be used in other situations, like dealing with hostile Beast Tamers.

So far, he had managed by using basic blade moves, but he thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea to learn a new blade move. So, he began to read the descriptions of the blade skills.

There were pros and cons to this method. However, there was a major positive side that made him select the technique right away: the blade technique didn’t have an upper limit. He could use it in each tier.

On the downside, there were no other forms. Only one slash was mentioned. He would have to master this single slash before coming up with his own ideas on how to use it in different ways.

He was already thinking of possibilities. If he executed the technique from an enemy’s blind spot, they would be killed instantly. It was well-suited for assassination if used the right way.

He decided to master them in the coming days, then he logged out of his account and began to watch the news.

Meanwhile, the Elders in the office were going through requests. Many members had applied to study new techniques.

They were reviewing the applicants’ past records. Members couldn’t learn more than one technique unless they had a huge contribution or a recommendation from Head Harold.

At that moment, one of the staff members saw the request from Jeremy Night. Everyone knew about Jeremy Night; he was a popular Tier-3 member of their organization.

The staff member reviewed the request. Seeing that Jeremy Night had applied for new techniques, he was surprised. It was the first time Jeremy Night had ever applied for techniques.

Because it was his first time, the staff member informed the elder. The elder in charge was surprised as well. Members who applied for the first time could get the skills for free.

Since Jeremy Night was applying for the first time, there was no need for them to deliberate. They could simply follow the rules.

The elder told the staff member to approve the request, and the staff member did so. The two selected skills were then sent to Jeremy Night’s account. The entire process happened within an hour.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Night was watching the news when his device buzzed. Hearing it, Jeremy picked up the device.

He opened the message and looked at it. His request had been approved quickly. His eyes flashed with surprise; he hadn’t expected the request to be approved this fast.

He logged into his account, where the two skills had been sent online. He looked at the two skills and opened them to read. He realized the full descriptions were provided.

He picked Shadow Slash first and began to read it. Once he was done understanding it, he would start practicing right away.

Meanwhile, the elder in the office informed Head Harold about Jeremy Night. Head Harold had already instructed the elders to report anything related to Jeremy Night immediately.
