Jason allowed his gaze to travel over the scenery with a nostalgic expression. Jason and Gina left the Stone Catacombs immediately after Jason was voted in as the new Overlord of the Sixth Domain, and after passing through the Teleportation Circle, Jason had used [King’s Substitute] to teleport them back to Earth. Jason and Gina had been been gone for a while, so they both missed Earth, but neither of them expected the sheer happiness they felt surging through their bodies as they enjoyed the sight of their own world for the first time in months! There was truly no place they could compare to their home!

But even though Jason and Gina were only feeling happiness at that moment, the feeling going through the rest of the world was completely different!

The moment Jason and Gina had appeared in this world, there was a sudden pulse of power that had travelled across the entire world and shocked every superhuman to the bone! The feeling the superhumans felt was the exact same feeling a rabbit would feel if there was a lion staring down on it from above. It was the same feeling a deer would feel if it was about to be pounced on by a fucking tiger! Jason and Gina had both suppressed their powers significantly so they wouldn’t affect the world around them, and Jason had even used artefacts to reduce the amount of mana they were releasing, but after being in so many battles and facing enemies that could end entire worlds, there was no way either of them could hide the terrifying aura that surrounded them at that moment!

All over the world, superhumans of various ranks across hundreds of guilds all looked toward Riverdale with terrified looks on their faces! Sweat travelled down their backs from the intense fear that gripped their hearts, and they could feel a sense of inferiority settling upon them! Everyone became aware of the two superhumans with an impossible amount of power that had suddenly appeared, and with that awareness came the collective realisation that every single superhuman in the world had suddenly dropped by two places in the power ranking of this world!

Back in Riverdale, Jason enjoyed the scenery in front of him for a few more seconds before he finally turned to the side as one of his subordinates appeared from the shadows. Alpha, the leader of Jason’s Phantoms, rose from the ground and immediately fell to one knee and bowed her head to Jason. Jason grinned at her and spoke.

"It’s been a while, Alpha. How have things been over here?"

Jason had left Alpha in charge of the subordinates protecting his family while he was gone, and since Jason had been upgrading her and all his other subordinates all this time, Jason knew that Alpha was now far stronger than she had been when he left! As she was now, Alpha was a Rook Rank II, so she was on the same level as an S Rank superhuman, but since she was a rook, she had multiple Legion-based skills that would allow her to put up a fucking good fight against even an SS Rank!

With someone as powerful as Alpha looking after his family, along with all the other subordinates that had also grown very powerful in the past few months, Jason didn’t have to worry about anything while he was gone.

Alpha looked up at Jason with a reverent look on her face, and she gave Jason a simple explanation of how his family had been in the months that he had been gone. Jason’s mother, Mira, had drowned herself in work in order to take her mind off Jason’s disappearance, and Jason’s sister Janet had managed to get a job in the Vanguard Guild as one of the people responsible for processing and filing the hundreds of magic cores brought in every day. Maya and Janet had both been training with an instructor who taught them how to control their powers, and once the instructor was certain that they had mastered it enough to not hurt regular humans in daily interactions, Maya was sent back to finish her education in boarding school. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

’I believe it might be best for you to visit your sister Maya at some point in the near future, my King. I could tell she was less than happy to leave the family behind without saying goodbye to you as well. As for the rest of your friends, they have all been fine. They’ve continued with their education or training, and some of them, like your unhealthily robust friend, Darren, are currently trying out to join the Vanguard Guild.’

Jason blinked in surprise when he heard Alpha calling Darren ’unhealthily robust’ and he realised that Alpha was trying to find a way to say that Darren was fat without making it seem insulting. Jason couldn’t help but chuckle! For some reason, calling him that name just made it sound far worse! There wasn’t a single person in the world that would want to be called ’unhealthily robust’ for any reason! Jason just shook his head, and he let out a thankful sigh as he realised that everyone in his family was doing fine. Jason already knew many of the things that had been happening with his family since he was able to use [King’s Eye] to watch over them, but Jason couldn’t watch over them all the time, and he was happy that even while he didn’t have his eyes on them, there were still no major incidents.

"Babe, there are some people heading toward the restaurant. Do you think they’re there for you?"

Jason hummed as Gina said this, and he looked in the direction of the restaurant with an irritated expression on his face. Jason could already feel the mana signatures heading for the restaurant, and he knew that they were all superhumans. But when Jason activated his [King’s Eye], he felt his irritation growing even more as he saw that it was Gaia. There were Gaia agents surrounding the restaurant and preventing other agencies from getting close, and Jason just sighed calmly and decided that it didn’t matter anyway. Let them do whatever they want. Jason had already been planning to speak to Cercei, so this was actually to his own benefit.

Jason finally turned to Gina, and he pulled her into his arms before he gave her a kiss on the forehead. Gina blushed slightly at Jason’s action, and she smiled as Jason asked her if she was ready to go home. Gina nodded.

"Let’s go see mom first. Once we’ve settled in, we can go see my mom and dad on the farm."

Jason smiled in agreement, and he gave Alpha a silent order to return to her duties before both he and Gina sank into the shadows.

The area around the Marc restaurant had turned into a military containment zone in the few minutes since the world found out Jason was returning! Gaia was the first organisation to respond to the news, and since they all knew that this restaurant was the first place Jason would visit, they had immediately created a perimeter around the restaurant to prevent anyone else from getting close! There were more than twenty helicopters on various buildings, and multiple black cars had been parked along the street! Hundreds of men wearing black outfits were standing guard at the ends of the street to prevent anyone from getting through, and there were at least twenty men standing at attention in front of the restaurant with Fredrica.

Fredrica had already gone inside to explain what Gaia was doing there to Mira, and Fredrica was surprised when Mira didn’t even seem to care about the soldiers surrounding her restaurant. Mira had simply said that they could do whatever they wanted so long as they didn’t enter the restaurant before she kicked Fredrica out!
