Chapter 135: Raven

Stanley and Freddy thought nothing of the new voice as they turned around. However, Sheila recognized it immediately. She slowly turned around and found the black-haired Raven standing merely 50 meters away from them in the cave.

"What do you mean, sister?" Freddy asked. "Have you tried opening this before?"

"Oh, yes. Many times," Raven said. "But it wouldn’t to us. The palm that is recorded in here no longer exists."

"What do you mean?" Freddy asked.

"Well, my stupid little brother decided to switch his body before changing the lock, so we were locked out," Raven said. "Fortunately, I can go in and out, so it’s fine."

"...what?" Freddy was a little confused.

"You idiots!" Sheila shouted. "That’s her, the Nova."

Suddenly, the two became alert and somewhat scared. Stanley turned to look at her, his eyes wavering a little as he looked at her.

Black hair, black eyes, wearing black clothes. It was exactly how the Nova had been described multiple times. And here she finally was for them to see.

Stanley was reminded of his brother’s death and this was the girl that was responsible.

"You..." he pointed his sword toward her. "You killed my brother!"

"Hmm?" Raven gave an innocent look. "I killed everyone’s brother, sister, father, mother, anything. I killed them all. So, you’re going to have to be a little more specific."

"You bitch!" Stanley shouted and immediately rushed to attack her.

Raven didn’t expect anything at all and simply waited for Stanley to get close to her before she could kill him. However, before she could realize it, he had disappeared.

The next thing she realized was a small string of black goo flowing out of her body and catching something next to her next.

The sword had been stopped right next to it. In fact, it might have been a little too close to her neck, which scared her a little.

"You..." his voice lowered in surprise, no longer the same cheerful voice from before. "How did you get here?"

Stanley’s eyes were wide in shock as well. He had shown downtime to a crawl before moving to attack her. However, before he could attack her, a thread of black goo had flown out of her neck, stopping the sword in its track.

Stanley pulled his sword back without answer and slowed down time before he moved again. He circled around the girl trying to catch her off guard, but no matter what he did, he always ended up hitting a black goo that fell out of her body.

Stanley couldn’t tell what was happening exactly.

He backed away from her once his breathing got disorderly. When there was no more air to suck in, he ran back away and only stopped when he was next to Stanley and Sheila.

When the time flowed normally again, he saw the girl slowly reach for her neck.

"That was... fast," she said. "You’re a speedster, is that right? You moved quite fast."

Stanley was scared of her now. She should have been dead multiple times with how he had attacked her, but somehow, she hadn’t died at all.

"That wasn’t bad, you know?" she said. "If it hadn’t been for today, you might’ve actually managed to kill me. I only just got these powers today."

Raven’s eyes moved toward Sheila as she smiled. "Are you the boss? I always assumed he would be a man, you know," she said.

Sheila said nothing in response.

"Well, even if you aren’t, I can tell you are someone from the outside. I had thought of leaving you three alive, but I can’t let an outsider live, I’m afraid," Raven said.

Stanley suddenly saw a black arrow fly in their direction, moving in Sheila’s direction. He turned his head and saw the arrow go through her head.

He moved, incredibly fast and quickly pulled her out of harm’s way. A second later, the black arrow struck the metal wall behind them but didn’t break it immediately.

"Booo!" Raven cried out. "You have to play fair and die by my hand."

She threw out 3 more projectiles that all flew like actual arrows, and all 3 times Stanley moved her out of harm’s way.

Sheila was feeling a massive sense of dizziness and vertigo from having been moved around at speeds that she didn’t even know were possible for a human to experience.

She held in her nausea and tried to think of a way to emerge victorious in this dire situation. At the very least, they all needed to get out of there alive, but she couldn’t come up with any ideas at all.

"Dammit, stop stopping my attacks," Raven shouted. "I don’t have enough time to continue playing this stupid game."

She placed her fingers forward and suddenly black goo appeared on her hand and suddenly got larger. Once it was large enough, she pointed it at the girl that was constantly being saved and sent it flying.

The black goo flew in their direction and Stanley saw it coming. He thought of dodging, but there was nothing he could do at all. It had already unfurled and was covering the entire space of the ave.

"I... I can’t get caught," Stanley thought, but the black net still caught them all. There was no escaping at all from this.

"Finally," Raven said as she saw them all get captured. Stanley was already starting to break it, but it would take a bit more to get rid of this sticky substance.

"Well, you die first," Raven said as she walked toward Sheila to kill her. The two young men saw that and frowned.

"Sister... you should leave this place," Freddy said. "You should leave and live."

"I’m captured, you bastard. Stop talk—" At the next moment, Sheila found herself on the other side of the shield at the next moment.

Her mind was confused for a second when she realized what had happened.

Freddy had used his powers to send her to safety on the other side of the shield.

He had teleported her away.
