Summoners War: Only I Summoned Divine Beasts
Chapter 1691: Disciple?
Now that they had gotten Koraxa, Nathan spent the rest of the day recovering as much energy as possible and went back to Myrall the next day.
At the very least, Koraxa felt assured after observing their movement for the entire day.
With this, the refugees from Myrall should be able to gain a firm foothold here. The people from Erendtall seemed to respect Nathan a lot, so they would at least take care of them out of their respect for Nathan.
Koraxa couldn’t repay his debt to Nathan, so the best thing he could do was to follow Nathan. He realized that Nathan knew something more than any of them.
Although he wasn’t qualified to know about it yet, he knew that he would learn about the truth eventually.
As soon as they reached Myrall, they started flying north, killing all the aliens they could find.
But as expected, the number of aliens had decreased significantly. The remaining aliens seemed to be searching for survivors.
According to Koraxa, the fortress had been attacked many times, but none of them were big enough to take it down.
Even if the aliens didn’t do anything, the survivors on this continent would gradually die one by one.
Still, thanks to the lower number of aliens, Nathan and the others could travel in Myrall pretty freely.
They started scanning any living vegetation to get its seeds. Koraxa had given them books on all the plants.
Fortunately, Vivian came with them, which meant Charlotte was also with them. Charlotte was the one storing the information and confirming everything from the books, allowing them to secure a lot of seeds.
With this, the first goal had been achieved. They continued to secure all the plants or seeds they could find along the way as Koraxa led them to the supervolcano.
Of course, humans on this continent didn’t die right away. It was true that the eruption took a lot of lives, but what killed most people on this continent was the ash cloud.
With the cold temperature, toxic ash, and the lack of food, it was only natural for the humans to die one by one.
Even high-level summoners would be taken down after being surrounded by so many aliens.
However, when they reached the supervolcano, the only thing that was left behind was nothing but a pile of ash.
"This is where the supervolcano is?" Nathan asked, as he couldn’t believe what had happened.
"Yes, my lord." Koraxa nodded with a serious expression. "There used to be a massive volcano here."
"Used to be? Where is it now?"
Koraxa pointed down. "Some people who survived the initial blast came to this place to find out what happened. According to them, the volcano disappeared almost immediately.
"People believed that the volcano crumbled because of that massive eruption and turned into a massive crater.
"They couldn’t do anything, especially with the aliens advancing and the famine striking. So, they abandoned this place and didn’t do further research."
Nathan looked down, contemplating. ’I think I’ve read the word that can describe this somewhere. Calidra? Cadera? Caldera!
’That’s right. After the supervolcano erupted, a caldera was supposed to be created. The mountain would crumble into the empty magma chamber. Was the chamber even big enough to swallow the entire mountain?
’Well, considering it covered the entire world for so long, I guess that’s understandable...’
Nathan looked down, contemplating. "It looks like there’s nothing we can do about the volcano."
"Yes. Unless my lord has time to figure out everything, it’s going to be hard to find anything about it."
Nathan nodded in understanding. He glanced at Charlotte, Evelyn, and Vivian.
"I don’t have any particular interest in a mountain, so I don’t care." Charlotte waved her hand.
Evelyn shrugged. "I don’t have any interest either."
"It’s better to focus on the plant rather than this volcano. At the very least, we’ve confirmed the ground zero of the disaster. It’s destroyed now and I don’t think it will erupt again."
Nathan nodded. According to what he knew, a supervolcano eruption would only occur once every few hundred thousand years.
It was already something unexpected to witness such an eruption in their lifetime, so there shouldn’t be anything like it in the near future.
So, Nathan shouldn’t worry too much about this volcano.
"In that case, we should continue to find the person pointed to by the second arrow." Nathan nodded. "Let’s continue. We will continue like this, but if we end up not finding that person until we reach the end of the continent, we will simply abandon that thought and continue to Qion right away." 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎
They agreed with the decision as they started flying again.
In the end, there was nothing exciting about the supervolcano. It might change into a lake or something, but it would take a very long time. They first had to clear the ash cloud above it before washing everything with rain.
At the very least, Nathan knew where it was located. If he wanted to know what happened to this volcano later, he could simply go back here.
Besides, there was no special note written in the original Nathan’s journal. So, Nathan focused on Qion instead.
He believed that if Qion were truly attacked, it could become one of the reasons that the original Nathan had to face even more aliens on Gratzel.
Qion might end up being destroyed by those Ancient Ones, so he had to hurry.
To their surprise, five hours after continuing their journey, Fenrir suddenly said, "I think I sense a living being alive near this place and it doesn’t give me a threat, so it may be a human."
"!!!" Nathan stopped, confusing everyone.
"What’s wrong?"
"Someone is in this place." Nathan raised a finger, gesturing for them to give him a second as he scanned the area with Fenrir’s senses.
It took him a minute to finally find the location of that living being.
"Follow me." Nathan leaped to the right and landed not far from the living being. He was still unsure what it was, so there was a chance an animal had survived this long.
But to his surprise, Nathan saw a girl with light-blue hair. The moment he saw her face, a memory surfaced in his mind.
"I’m sorry, Master..."
