Surviving the Apocalypse While Being Tempted by an Elf and a Dark Elf
Chapter 288: Realization (2)
Luke wondered if he would have to teach Shalia how to change the subject of a talk more properly. Still, he could understand where she was coming from. It would be better for them if they could keep their real forms all the time. The only problem would be the issue if they could teleport them back to earth and their home planets like before and the fact that he will lose the extra regeneration of energy that they granted him. In any case, it wasn’t a real problem.
"I am not sure if this is a good idea," Rina said. "Luke will lose the extra regeneration of health, mana, and stamina that we grant him. While we still could move between worlds, it wouldn’t be as easy as before."
Luke’s guesses were right, and Rina’s words convinced Shalia. Still, there must be some kind of way for them to exist in their usual form without making Luke lose his bonuses... they just had to find it.
"Back to the topic, I suppose you can convince some of them to join us since we are going to help them," Luke said. "We will need all the help we can get since I am imagining that their armies will be a lot bigger than anything that we have faced until now."
"Yes, of course," Seirion said. "I was famous even before the monsters appeared, so my word carries some weight."
Luke looked at Shalia since she never mentioned that. In the end, she just shrugged because that was a small detail to her. In any case, without wasting any more time, Luke prepared the fortress to move, and while he wanted to make more skeletons, he would have the chance to do so once the next fight begins. A huge battle was also the perfect moment to make them grow even stronger and check how his Overlord’s skills worked.

"I guess this is enough for the time being... We need to leave some fuel for defense just in case," Luke said after he checked his red crystal.
Luke had already summoned a lot of starving wolves, and then he sacrificed them. Still, once again, he quickly reached the limit of the current crystal. He wanted to improve them a bit more the parameters, but as he had mentioned, he would need some for fuel and defense purposes.
After flying for four hours, the group finally saw something weird in the distance. A massive dust cloud emerged from the cloud, and black smoke emerging from several points joined that as well. When Luke approached the border of his fortress, he focused his eyes and then saw some small creatures moving. From far away, they looked small, but they were massive monsters. Minotaurs, Chimeras, Salamanders, and some other types were marching toward them.
"Do you recognize those spots of the black smoke?" Luke asked.
"Yes... there were some settlements in those places, and concentration of crystals as well," Seirion replied.
It seemed that they were too late to help some of those, but in the distance, Luke and the others could see some camps that were about to be overrun by that massive horde of monsters. It was hard to say, but those creatures could easily surpass one hundred thousand enemies, and Luke was just seeing the frontline.
"All right, you guys will land and then convince the dark elves on the camps to come aboard as fast as possible," Luke declared while looking at Seirion and his people. "I will use my skeletons to gain some extra time."
Seirion nodded. He could understand that some idiots would want to stay back and fight instead of making a strategic retreat even in that kind of situation. While he could use one thousand dark elves to attack from a distance, it would be better to use them to save lives. Besides, Luke didn’t want to show anyone that they would fight at some point.
When Seirion and the others finally landed, they saw the dark elves of that camp ready to fight. They had assumed that the flying fortress was just a measure to make sure that they wouldn’t be able to escape, but they changed their minds when they saw Seirion and the others. While they were trying to explain the situation, Luke and Shalia created a path of ice that was large enough for many skeletons to slide down toward the enemies ahead. They were just one kilometer, but the skeleton riders could cause quite a lot of destruction with just a bit of time...
"I am itching to fight those fuckers..." Shalia said. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
"Calm down, you will have your chance if the enemies get too close and the people of this place are still coming," Luke said.
It didn’t take long for didn’t skeleton riders to reach the enemies, and for some reason, they didn’t get hit by magic attacks. The enemies only used normal attacks...
"This is insane, this army of monsters stretches toward the horizons..." Rina said.
"They must be planning to destroy this whole continent, but they are focusing on the areas that have more camps..." Luke said.
While they were talking, Luke saw some stairs made of Earth emerging from the ground, and then they approached the fortress. After looking down, Luke saw some dark elves climbing up, but a lot of people down there still were making a lot of noise. When those that decided to listen to Seirion arrived, they looked at Luke’s group, and they could tell that there was something different about them, even though their level wasn’t insanely higher than theirs. Luke ignored them because his skeletons were being trampled to death due to the sheer number of enemies.
