Luke made sure to use Lightning level three, and since his magic power had increased a lot lately when the combo ended, the enemy had some burn marks across his body, and he was emitting a lot of steam as well... still, the fighting spirit still could be seen in his eyes. Something of that level wasn’t enough, Luke wasn’t a mage in the first place.

In any case, Luke confirmed that he couldn’t make up for the difference in strength with faints alone. That only worked to compensate for the speed, so he had to increase his strength. Even with the points that he was gaining, it would be hard to compensate against someone who had almost two times more strength. Naturally, Luke could make things a lot easier if he used Weapon Augmentation, but he didn’t want to use that either. He had recently won some battles without using it, but he needed to prove that he could win without that... It wasn’t just a cheating skill that would prolong his life beyond his natural talent.

The enemy prepared to attack Luke again, but that had been a mistake. Luke still had some ideas about how to combine his skills, after all. By using Stinger and Stunning Blow, the power of his attack increased, and he stopped the punch that the enemy tried to smash his head with. Soon after, Luke emerged a fire pillar from the ground and engulfed the enemy, and then he made a blast of wind come down and made it explode.

The surprise attack damaged the enemy a bit, even though he had a high level and unknown rank in Fire Resistance. It caused some damage and stopped him, so Luke used that chance to attack again. He couldn’t overpower an enemy three hundred levels above himself, but he could use his brain to compensate.

Drork bit his lips in annoyance and then punched the air. Luke felt the danger and decided to jump to the side, but before he could succeed, he got hit on his left side, and his armor cracked a bit, and the flesh was torn apart. Luke groaned in pain while his eyes wavered due to the shock... Even without looking, he could tell that the enemy pulled a huge chunk of his flesh, to the point where it wouldn’t be weird if his muscles or even bones were exposed. Despite that, Drork didn’t use those several seconds to attack. Instead of that, he looked delighted while watching Luke suffer.

Luke took a deep breath to calm down. There was no point in letting the pain or the annoyance caused by that asshole to get on his nerves. Besides, the enemy made a mistake... Because Luke leveled up again, and the wound quickly close. Now it was Luke’s turn to smirk, but he didn’t do that for long. He used Dash, and then his mobility increased, and he began to run around the enemy. Drork thought that it was a countermeasure against his Sonic Fist, but that was only half the reason.

Luke suddenly attacked after using Stinger, Stunning Blow, and Heavy strike at the same time. Drork used both claws to stop the attack, but he felt the power making his bones crack a bit. He could tell that Luke combined another skill with that. While it was consuming a lot of stamina, it was his best bet due to the difference in strength.

Drork counterattacked before the next one could come by using Sonic Punch, but Luke disappeared. In the end, his skill ended up splitting apart several monsters that were behind Luke. Suddenly, Drork felt a presence appearing behind him, and he immediately turned around and punched it. However, he only hit a small block of Earth, the size of a human. Thanks to that, he got hit on his left side by Luke’s real attack. He was completely defenseless and was pushed back and rolled on the ground for several meters.

Drork tried to get up, but then he saw Luke falling and swinging the ax toward his head. Even though his stance was bad, Drork tried to use Sonic Punch. In the end, he hit the air since Luke had disappeared again, and in the next moment, a lightning bolt fell and hit his arms. Somehow, Luke was putting an up a good fight. Still, he quickly realized that it would be hard to do any real damage since he didn’t have any finishing move aside from Weapon Augmentation.

When Luke was preparing for the next move, he received those notifications, and then he clicked his tongue. He was wasting too much time dealing with that guy, but he still couldn’t use Weapon Augmentation or ask Rina for help. So, he did something else... In the next moment, all the skeletons in his fortress began to move and joined the battle. He had around four thousand of them now, so they will be more than a little bit useful.

It didn’t take long for Luke to realize that the monster’s advance that had been completely stopped. However, he didn’t have time to think about it. Still, much to his surprise, it seemed that the enemy wanted to talk.

"Hoh... You managed to stop our horde," Drork said. "You are not half bad, you have quite the variety in skills, and you can even combine them... It is almost a pity that you decided to become our enemy."

"I didn’t. You are the one who started this fight by making such a large horde of monsters to destroy this world and kill its inhabitants," Luke said. "But not to worry. I don’t hate you or anything. I am thankful for your existence. After all, once I defeat you, I will level up many times."

"You will pay with your life for your insolence and greediness," Drork said.

"Do your worst, pig man," Luke said.
