Chapter 343: Forward (8)

Since Luke was recovering enough mana to keep the space going, he didn’t have to hurry. Still, he couldn’t be careless since he will probably use a lot of mana no matter what he tries in that space. That being said, if he feels like his mind is getting foggy... Then he should get the hell out of there as soon as possible.

First of all, Luke tried to project one of those weird stones that he had seen earlier that was on the top of the energy poles. That didn’t consume much mana, but it came uncharged... He tried to think of one fully charged. He had no idea for how long it could last, but then it appeared in front of him and illuminated that place. Again, Luke couldn’t move his body, but he could see it. The light illuminated the surroundings and revealed a box that was two meters tall and wide. He couldn’t see anything aside from white walla beyond that.

"Now... How can I make my body move?" Luke thought.

Since Luke created that stone, he could interfere with the interior aside from just increasing its size. Also, if his mana was being recovered, then it means that there were some other rules to that dimension. After all, the fact that Luke was recovering mana means that time is passing for him somehow. The dimension was more like a place that refused the effects of time, but it couldn’t forbid it in all aspects. Maybe that was the clue that he needed...

"Perhaps I should create a dimension that passes the time to some things while others don’t, but that would probably cost tons of mana," Luke thought.

In any case, Luke was starting to think that as long as he didn’t move, he would be fine and won’t have to breathe. Since he wasn’t moving, Rest was active, and he was recovering more energy than usual. That was all very well and good since it confirmed that he could use the place to train at least his buffs, but he will probably die of boredom. Some price had to be paid to obtain power...

"Training my buffs might be pretty interesting here. I just have to be patient, but... I want to deal with the necromancer and do this later," Luke thought. "Even if I make all my buffs reach the next level of rarity, it won’t be enough to deal with that thing."

While he was thinking about how to solve all that, Luke watched the mineral floating in front of him. The mineral didn’t have that kind of ability, but it was floating because Luke summoned it there. Just thinking about moving it wasn’t enough, and since he couldn’t make it move, Luke needed something else... Maybe that something else will help him move his body as well.

"Maybe I should learn Telekinesis. It seems the fastest way out of this. Still, it will consume mana as well," Luke thought.

It should be expensive, but nothing like spatial magic, so Luke could afford it. However, the shop relic still was in that space behind Luke’s reach. However, before doing that, Luke thought of something else. Why was he able to think there? Why could he use magic? Those were the only things he could do as of now, one of them was due to his mana, and what about the other?

Luke tried to control the mana around his body and see if it could make his body move. If his guess was right, he could think because the brain was where most of his mana was located or was active. Since spatial magic was using his mana, it was only natural that his brain would work, but as for the rest of his body... He couldn’t feel anything, even when he made the mana move. However, when he concentrated some mana on his hand, he got a response. He didn’t feel anything, but he was pretty sure that he moved his fingers.

"There is nothing here, that is why I don’t feel anything, and since this place is made of magic, only mana can do anything here..." Luke realized.

Eventually, Luke began to get the hang of moving his body while using mana. It was a bit weird, but he felt lighter than usual. It was almost like he was learning how to control a new body. Regardless, he soon grabbed the shop relic and then checked the list for holy weapons. Fortunately, he found some knives with that attribute for ten thousand gold coins, and they caused twenty percent more damage against the undead. He couldn’t have asked for more... Once, he brought some of them to eliminate all of the liches. Luke began to think of his best plan to eliminate the necromancer. He was fine with using Weapon Augmentation to get rid of the small fries but not against their boss.

In the end, with the amount of time he could use to prepare in the storage dimension, Luke didn’t have any trouble in coming up with a decent plan. Since he didn’t feel anything in that place, he didn’t have a hard time buffing his left hand with magic. However, he couldn’t use stamina there... So, Concentrated Strike was out. Instead of that, he sent his mana to his katana for quite a while. Once the preparations were done, Luke returned.

The necromancer frowned when they saw Luke returning. From their perspective, Luke disappeared from existence completely without leaving any traces of the use of Teleport. Regardless, half a second later, he fired the holy daggers toward the liches. Large explosions happened when they were hit, and soon after, they turned into dust thanks to their holy attributes.

The necromancer moved backward slightly due to that sudden and unexpected turn of events... Luke wasn’t supposed to have those holy weapons with him, after all. In any case, before the last lich could be hit, Luke used Stinger toward the necromancer.
