Chapter 354: Acquaintance (7)

Just to be sure that he wouldn’t be noticed, Luke made his fortress move away from the planet. He wanted to use the fortress speed and reach the nearest one, but while there was a pretty big planet nearby, after six hours, Luke stopped since he didn’t see the fortress getting any closer. The vastness of the universe was scary sometimes... even with that stupid speed... it was insane.

In any case, at least Luke had some time to think carefully about what he should do to deal with the enemies. Perhaps if he uses the mana of two clones, he could kill one of the giants with a single attack and use the remaining to fight the other. It shouldn’t be hard since he will gain a lot of experience after killing one of them. However, the strain of his body with that much power... It was hard to say if he could survive it. To deal with that problem, Luke had to become tougher and to become like that, he had to increase his endurance.

"While being in the over mana state, I don’t have to worry about running out of energy by using my buffs, so I can use Endurance support to help with that," Luke thought. "After that... I had to level up Iron Skin. It would be great if I could learn Steel Skin, but I haven’t found it in the shop yet."

Luke also could use free status points, but for the time being, he wanted to focus on increasing strength and magic and focus with those. Speed was also necessary... Luke was ignoring his defenses, and that was dangerous. That was why he needed more passive skills.

"Let’s see what I can do to increase my survivability... Storing health potions in that dimension?" Luke thought. "Still, I would have to bring it out from there, and that would make the enemy realize it."

Luke couldn’t make several dimensions with his current level of spatial magic, so he couldn’t destroy them to get the health potions. He needed some sort of trick to get the potions instantly in the middle of the battle.

Luke looked for an item or skill that could help him with that, but it was hard to find a skill that worked alongside a skill like spatial magic. While thinking about what he should do, Luke tried to project a health potion, and the potion worked as usual. Even when the time for the item to disappear came, Luke didn’t notice its effect ending, so it was worth trying to find a way to use it. While Luke was thinking, he found an item in the shop that could help, but it was quite limited.

Restoration Amulet

The amulet will consume your mana to heal the wounds when you suffer damage. It can restore fifty points of health per second at the cost of the same value in mana.

Durability: 50/50

Naturally, Luke could only equip one of those, and he couldn’t hope to get another one with a higher rank to be more efficient. Come to think of it, Luke wondered why there wasn’t a skill or an item to increase the rank of weapons and items. He didn’t find it until now...

"I probably can project a ring that can have the same effect, but keeping such an item from disappearing will consume a lot of mana... Unless Projection reaches a really high level," Luke thought.

Projection and space magic was at Uncommon rank. Even though Luke trained it in that dimension, since he kept the use of mana to a minimum, it didn’t reach the next rank. In any case, Luke decided to check those rings with that effect, and he truly could make one, and the cost to keep it from disappearing was 25 points of mana per second. With his current focus, he could keep it. However, he wouldn’t be able to do anything else with mana.

"I need to level up Projection..." Luke thought. "Oh, well... Here we go."

Luke went to his dimension and then decreased its size so that he could have more mana to use, and then he began to make the copies of the ring. He could have made many other things, but he wanted to see if he could make an item with a higher rank of rarity. He failed at that... Still, at least he confirmed one thing that he had been suspicious of for a while. The more complicated the skill, the more time and mana one needs to use to make it level up. That was why Luke had to stay there for three weeks to make Projection reach the rare rank. Fortunately, the cost to keep the ring existing decreased by seventy percent.

"Now I can recover 150 points of health per second, plus 25 thanks to focusing," Luke said and then showed a self-mocking smile. "And that only cost me three weeks’ worth of training."

After checking the skills that he had leveled up recently and the ones he hadn’t, Luke felt like he had made even less progress than expected. Still, he didn’t waste time thinking about it. He only began to think about what he should do to deal with those two with his current condition.

"All right, let’s go full retard," Luke nodded to himself.
