That became clear when the spot where the enemy froze created an ice rock that was continuously freezing the area around and expanded for a radius of two hundred meters.

The fire giant got up and then cauterized the wound on her arms with her flames. She didn’t hesitate even for a bit despite the pain, so one had to admire her will. Regardless, Luke’s attacks were failing because he was fighting against two. Perhaps he should have attacked the ice giant, but considering his actions and demeanor, it was clear that it would be even harder than defeating the fire giant in a single strike.

While Luke was thinking of what to do, the enemies began to bombard the area with their magic. Thanks to their area of effect power, even though Luke was running and dodging them, he still could feel the heat and the cold. Luke’s katana pierced her wrist and then froze it thanks to the effect of the sword, but soon her fire armor made it melt. Those guys were using even more mana than Luke, and they weren’t showing any way of running off-gas. It was clear that they had their own tricks, but they didn’t have demerits like Luke’s.

"I am getting tired of this..." The ice giant said. "I don’t like to look like a fool by letting my attacks be used by my enemies."

The ice giant summoned six pillars of ice, and they surrounded Luke when he landed. At the same time, they increased in length to the point that they became a cube that locked Luke in a single place. Even the ground below Luke had turned into ice, and he didn’t like that. The temperature around the box began to drop, and Luke also felt his health decreasing due to it while his body was freezing. In the end, he had an idea...

After several seconds, the ice giant was confident that he had finished the job. Still, he knew that Luke was alive since he didn’t get any notification. When he undid his spell, he saw a small statue of ice in the place Luke was supposed to be, and despite that, it seemed that he was alive...

The giant created a massive hammer in the sky and then made it spin before launching it toward the ice statue. He didn’t want to take any chances against a small enemy that suddenly caused them so many problems, after all. However, the moment the hammer touched the ground, it was the moment the ice giant got hit on the face and was sent flying to the distance. A few dozens of meters away from there, blue due to the cold and trembling like a leaf, Luke smirked. He had distorted the space in front of him to reflect the other side of where he was, thus attaining something similar to invisibility.

The fire giant was completely dumbfounded. She couldn’t comprehend what that happened. It was simple: Luke connected the ground where the hammer hit with the space close to the ice giant’s face. Luke knew that a lot of mana would be used, but he didn’t imagine that the power of the attack would increase the cost. Still, Luke gained some time to deal with the fire giant, and he was certain that the ice giant had suffered a lot of damage.
