When the ice giant died, the atmosphere began to return to normal, and his body didn’t feel that sluggish anymore. Luke sighed in relief since he had just tasted hell and he didn’t like it. Still, he realized that only a couple of seconds had passed since the fire giant had started her Fireball and she hadn’t fired or canceled it yet. In any case, while she still could fire the attack, she looked quite shocked that her mortal enemy was defeated by someone so much weaker than them. In situations like that, where people can level up, high levels and parameters can decide most battles. However, they forgot that they still had their cards in their hands, and they had to play those wisely. They also needed to be creative and experiment with their powers... which was something that most overlords don’t do since they usually choose weaker enemies to fight.
"Come on, shoot that," Luke said. "I am sure you will blow yourself with the blast of the explosion that you create."
Taunting a nervous enemy like that surely wasn’t a good idea, but Luke wasn’t thinking straight. He just wanted to finish the job as soon as possible. Still, the fire giant knew that even if she did that, she wouldn’t kill him since he could escape like he did before and return completely fine. Still, she didn’t have many options in that situation.
In the end, she fired the spell and then began to run at the exact same time. With a single step, she crossed hundreds of meters in a single moment. That was some crazy power in her legs... The explosion was fast and began to destroy the whole land around, but she escaped before he could get caught in the blast. But then Luke suddenly appeared in front of her and then slashed her face. The katana opened a large wound that began to make blood fall like a fountain and made her stop. Soon after, the explosion caught her and began to burn the fire giant. Luke made sure to use her as a shield to escape from the blast while she was being pushed away.
In the end, after several minutes, she finally fell to the ground unconscious. Her limbs had been burned to a crisp, but she still survived that. That was one crazy level of vitality. Still, there wasn’t much one could do when their heart was cut into pieces, and that was what Luke did.

...
You defeated all the overlords of this world.
You obtained Soul Steal Ring.
Soul Steal Ring.
It grants you the power to absorb some of the mana of the target upon their defeat. You can absorb ten percent of their total mana.
Luke sighed in relied on when the last enemy died. He also got some sweet rewards... The soul steal ring would be particularly useful against a high number of enemies, even though it has been a while since Luke did that directly. Regardless, at that point in time, Luke couldn’t help but think... Was he really that lucky, or the system wasn’t rewarding and stimulating him to keep fighting overlords?
"Aivern probably knew that something like this would happen... And he probably knew that I wouldn’t put the others at risk to keep hunting overlords like this," Luke thought. "It doesn’t seem like he is related to the system’s creator, though. It is hard to believe that something like this doesn’t have one. Since it acts as an AI."
Putting that aside, Luke realized that the battles would only become harder from now on, so he had to take his training in his dimension more seriously. He had to stay there for longer, even more than he already did. While only a few weeks had passed since his friends were captured, Luke had already experienced around six months in there.
"The only problem is that I can’t earn experience there, so my feeling of progress gets messed up..." Luke rubbed his chin thoughtfully. "I can’t kill my summons for experience, and sending monsters to that dimension would only be a waste of time."
Luke already knew that he wouldn’t find an easy answer, but that still was annoying. In any case, he began to look for the bases of the giants since they didn’t have any items with them. The armor that they used was some sort of elemental spell, after all. Considering the directions that they headed on the previous day after the end of the fight, Luke had an easy time finding their fortress. However, they didn’t have anything valuable... It wasn’t shocking since they didn’t even use the equipment.
"Oh, well... At least now I have... 242 million gold coins..." Luke said and then frowned. "I certainly can buy something amazing with this."
If he waits for a while longer or visits his other followers’ planets, Luke would be able to buy a tier nineteen skill book, and something of that level would be insane. So, he decided to do that. It seemed that his followers were slacking off, but eventually, he got the coins. As for the options of abilities that he could obtain... They were: Absolute Tame, Light Magic, Dark Magic, and even some skills that altered his physiology... Luke could obtain vampire-like powers, but he would also obtain their weaknesses. He wondered how in the hell that was possible... How could a skill change his body like that? In any case, at least it comes with some good attributes.
"Let’s try to stay looking human for as long as possible..." Luke thought.
After looking for a while longer, Luke found Clairvoyance there, and while it wasn’t a combat skill, he bought it without hesitation.
