The creature tried to devour Luke in a single movement, but Luke used Spatial Magic to retreat a few dozen meters. He didn’t imagine that it was possible. Still, the road actually resisted the impact of the fish that was like three hundred meters long. Weirdly enough, the creature began to contort in pain while it slowly moved back to the purple ocean.

Luke assumed that the plants had some kind of substance that could counter the poison and probably could affect that thing as well. In any case, he didn’t even have the chance to attack because he didn’t even think of doing that when he saw the beast.

"No marks on the ground... Just what the hell is this road made of?" Luke frowned.

Luke tried to attack, but he felt the same thing as he did before when he attacked the previous room ground. In any case, Luke couldn’t sense anything coming from the grass or plants, but he decided to grab some of it and turn it into a sap and pass on his sword. That should help him cause some extra damage if he has the chance to attack the monster.

Luke began to run again, and he realized that the scenery wasn’t really changing. He truly hoped that it wasn’t a road that crossed a whole world... He didn’t have time for that, and the vegan life didn’t suit him. In any case, as if the creature was waiting for Luke to lose his focus for a second, it jumped from the ocean to attack him again. This time, Luke already knew what to do. He sent all his mana into the sword and then fired a blast of cold wind toward the interior of the monster’s mouth.

That immediately froze the interior, and the creature just hit its frozen mouth on the road. Before the monster could try to escape, Luke summoned the Essence Sword and then began to Slash up the mouth, opening large wounds and making the beast tremble in pain. Still, the tenacity of the beast was commendable, and he eventually closed the mouth to eat Luke. Still, then he used Stinger and cut the side of the mouth and opened a hole, escaping from it.

"The essence sword is working slower than usual... I suppose a monster with this much vitality wouldn’t let its life force be drained that easily," Luke thought.

In such a situation, the monster couldn’t do anything else but retreat, so it did that. After two minutes, the creature returned, and it was completely healed. It didn’t seem like it wanted to stop Luke for any real reason aside from the fact that he looked tasty. So, ignoring it would only be a pain in the ass. Just like before, it could be that Luke had to kill that monster to reach the next level...

It was risky, and the toxic smell made Luke even lose health over time, but he created some ice platforms and then headed to the ocean. As one would expect, it didn’t take long for the massive beast to show up and try to gobble him. Luke stayed one kilometer above sea level, and the massive beast still could reach that high. There was no safe height for him...

After dodging the third jump, Luke landed on the back of the creature and slashed with his sword, but he wasn’t cutting as easy as before... Probably because he didn’t have any more sap with him.

Luke let go of the monster and then wondered what he should do. Whatever damage he may cause, it will heal in less than a minute with the stupid focus of that thing. He had to cause the damage and prevent the regeneration.

When the creature tried to devour him again, Luke just let it happen, but soon after, he used Stinger to escape from the side. He barely had enough power to cut the flesh and open the path since he was conserving his mana. Still, he eventually did it and then turned around and used lightning on the hole. The blood on the monster’s face to make the Electric current more powerful and burned the wound completely to the point that even the blood flow was stopped. The creature trembled for quite a while before hitting the ocean with its left side. That probably hurts more than jumping into a pool and landing on his stomach. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

Using Clairvoyance, Luke confirmed that the beast began to move again after a couple of seconds, but the wound wasn’t healing, so he achieved his goal. It was unlikely that the wound would close anytime soon with that poison nearby.

Luke repeated the same pattern several times until the monster barely could close its mouth. Still, as if the creature couldn’t feel any pain, it insisted on attacking Luke. At that point in time, he was already fed up with that ugly thing and the putrid smell around, so he decided to finish the thing once and for all.

The creature began to jump from the ocean like it was truly desperate for food, and Luke only focused on baiting it and dodging it at the last moment. After a couple of minutes, Luke let the beast devour him only because it would be easy to attack from inside. Luke swung his katana and the essence sword, making both of them pierce the monster’s tongue. Thanks to the massive amount of mana that he charged with the katana, Luke made the beast turn into an ice statue.
