Chapter 369: Tests (6)

Luke used that moment of surprise to start his counterattack. He couldn’t blame his opponents for getting surprised since he used Space magic and then moved one of his concentrated health potions to inside his mouth. From their perspective, he just began to heal without using magic. Still, it was quite unpleasant to chew the glass of the potions. Fortunately, his body was strong enough to deal with that. He had to think of a better way to do that, though. It was quite unsightly to see him using the potion like that.

Instead of going for the archer, Luke used Stinger after jumping toward the mage. He suddenly began to move away, but Luke’s speed was greater. Before he could reach the enemy, someone suddenly appeared there. It was a woman wearing a black armor, carrying an equally black shield and a red sword. She stopped Luke with her shield and then went for Luke’s neck before he could fall. Fortunately, he blocked with his katana, but he made her frown since he didn’t put much strength before his attack. The reason for that was the fact that Luke wanted to land as soon as possible.

Once that happened, Luke dashed toward one of the spearmen, and he slowly moved away. He wanted to block Luke’s attack and give his friends the chance to kill him. In the end, Luke used Stinger, and then his sword was blocked by the spear, but he soon moved again and grabbed the spearman’s mouth. The other tried to pierce Luke’s hearth from behind, but then Luke threw the other guy at him, stopping the attack.

The whole group began to prepare to attack together, but they stopped when they saw the first Spearman coughing violently until he passed out while vomiting blood and one purple liquid. They finally realized that Luke had made him eat something. While his friends were surprised, he went to attack the mage again. That guy suddenly summoned some electricity on his fingers and prepared to move, and the dark armor woman also was approaching. Luke used that chance to finally use Space magic and then grab the poisoned spearman to his dimension.

"Even in this state this son of a bitch still hides his skills... It doesn’t seem like he is going to die from the poison either," Luke thought and then summoned the Essence Sword. "I should use this to finally put that experiment into action."

Luke stabbed the spearman in order to strengthen himself. After twenty seconds, he felt that he was about to die, so Luke stopped. He had around twenty thousand points of health. Luke could tell that because his essence sword got one thousand points per second.

Luke’s defensive parameters were really low, so he decided to improve them as much as possible. The pain that he felt with the lightning was probably the worst pain that he had felt. It was comparable to getting kicked in the balls one hundred times nonstop.

"I suppose I don’t have much of a choice when there are five against one, you will be my testing subject," Luke thought.

Luke pulled and put the sword many times on the spearman. Few sentences could be more misleading than that... In any case, Luke also decided to make another mana clone, but when he started the second, he decided on the third as well. There was no telling what those overlords could do. It was hard to believe that they had already shown all of their skills, and they were bound to fight more seriously after losing one of them.

In the end, the spearmen only endured to be cut by the essence sword for around three hundred hundred times. For some reason, he also never woke up, thanks to the effects of the poison. His body just stopped working after being cut and damaged like that for eight hours.

The spearman was just wearing some pieces of monster leather, so aside from his spear, he didn’t have anything useful. Still, even the spear wasn’t anything special. It only had those effects of throwing and hitting the enemy once charged the enemy no matter what and returned to his hands.

"Shall I use Weapon Augmentation to kill another one with this spear as soon as I return, or..." Luke thought while looking at the corpse. "Can I transmute this?"

Luke tried to transmute some parts of the monster’s body, but he never tried to transmute a corpse entirely. That was because he didn’t have the chance to do so. It also seemed wrong, but Luke had thrown away his conscience through the window at that point in time.

Luke already had weapons, but he was lacking a bit in the defense department. His last boots and gloves had been destroyed a long time ago, and he didn’t bother buying new ones, so he decided to transform the guy into a shield that he would keep on his back. Much to his surprise, the skill worked pretty well.

Shield of the Nostelis

A shield that carries the essence of the Nostelis warriors. It Grants the wearer ten extra levels of fire and earth resistance.

Endurance + 300, Resistance + 300

Durability: 400/400

The shield just became a tower shield that had some drawings on it. It probably was related to those guys’ tribes. In any case, the bonus of the skills was pretty good. Now Luke learned that he had other uses for the sons of bitches that might try to kill him.

"Let’s take the mage out next... His long ranged attacks are a problem since they are powerful and can paralyze me," Luke thought.
