Chapter 375: Will (3)

In the end, Luke waited until the moment those two were exhausted and then froze both of them at the same time. Once he used them with the Essence Sword, they died, and Luke looked for the next targets. Still, Luke had a hard time doing that since all the landmarks of that world had been destroyed. The landmarks now were craters, and they were all too similar to each other to be called that.

After flying around for three days, Luke realized that most of the enemies had already vanished. In the first place, the real powerful ones would crush the others as fast as possible. Considering that the second floor essentially decreased the number of overlords by half, it wasn’t surprising that the numbers on the third level would be below.

Eventually, a group of four overlords had appeared, and Luke sensed them. Since he had prepared well in advance for that situation, he immediately dealt with them. As usual, he just used tons of mana on the katana and froze them and the area they appeared with a single strike of his weapon. However, the katana broke... the durability was completely full, so that shocked Luke.

"... Oh, well, I can always project a copy with my mana," Luke thought.

Your Strength increased by 44points.

Your Endurance increased by 33 points.

Your Speed increased by 49 points.

Your Resistance increased by 42 points.

...

That group was way weaker than the others, so they didn’t resist for long. Still, they served their purpose. Unfortunately, the entrance to the next level didn’t open after that either. Luke began to massage his temples because that was starting to get annoying. He had tried to use Clairvoyance to see the boundaries of that world, but he failed. He tried to leave the planet, but he failed. He could use Space magic, but not to leave that hellhole...

"My guess is that I just need to defeat another overlord, and then I will be able to go to the next floor, but this game is sickening, and I don’t want to follow the rules," Luke said while rubbing his chin. "There must be another way to leave this place..."

Luke began to think of the nature of that world... it didn’t seem like a projection, but like a real-world, that was within the tower. A world that seemed like another dimension since one couldn’t leave its limits. Most likely, one couldn’t leave because of the dimensions of the tower and because it worked to keep its inner structure hidden while using those worlds. The first layer seemed like an exception since the desert was part of that huge creature... but then Luke connected the dots. The core that was called the nucleus was also the core of a world, at least one made with magic. It could be a copy of a world that had been destroyed a long time ago. Most likely, it was. It was hard to believe that someone would create a tower around a planet that was rotating in its own galaxy.

"I suppose this is a mix of space magic and projection... is it a coincidence?" Luke frowned. "Still, how much mana one would need to create something like a planet and keep existing using Projection?"

That was insane, but it was the only explanation Luke could think of right now... Either way, he could think of three options that he had now. Destroy that world, destroy the core of the world, or cause a distortion in that space big enough that will undo the spell. All of those seemed like a problem... while waiting for another overlord to appear seemed the most reasonable option.

"Who cares about the easiest option... I want to cause problems for the asshole that created his tower and get tons of experience while I am at it," Luke said and then summoned thirteen clones.

The reason that the dark armored woman only summoned three of them was because of the cost of mana. They needed to have the same power as her and because they also needed some focus to be controlled. Controlling more than one at the same time was like controlling more than one of your own bodies. Still, making them sit and meditate was another matter. Easy as pie.

Luke checked his arsenal of skills and wondered which one he could use to reach the core of that world. He wondered about the steps he had to take to reach the point where he had to seriously consider a question like. It certainly wasn’t because, in high school, he had a hobby of farting and pretending that it hadn’t been him just to annoy some classmates that he disliked...

Regardless, without a doubt, Weapon Augmentation was the skill for the job. Earth itself gained consciousness when the world was invaded by zombies to give him and many others skills like that. Still, Luke felt like he shouldn’t use that skill... taking the easy way out wasn’t his style.

Using Lightning seemed like the best option, but it would be hard to open a hole in the center of the world with an attack like that. Instead of that, Luke began to open a hole using Earth Manipulation. Once he reached a certain level where he was too far away to use his magic and control the ground. He began to fire Earth Spears that made the entire land shake with each impact. With a vicious smile on his face, Luke began to attack even faster... to the point that he saw the space distorted in some parts of the world. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

"As expected... it is truly a combination of Projection and Space magic," Luke said.

Suddenly, Luke felt a presence behind him, and then he turned while preparing to attack. However, he saw only a crystal there ready to be used... He didn’t kill anyone while he was attacking the planet, since he didn’t get any notifications. That could only mean one thing...
