Chapter 162: I Trust You

"I trust you!"

Sienna’s answer came so quickly that Zachary was caught off guard.

Without even looking at the documents, Sienna reached for the pen lying beside them.

The moment she uncapped it and moved to sign, Zachary immediately caught her wrist.

She looked up at him in confusion.

"Huh? Why are you stopping me?"

"Sienna," he said patiently, trying not to laugh. "You need to read it first before signing."

She shook her head.

"No need. I trust you."

For a moment, Zachary simply stared at her.

The surprise in his eyes was impossible to hide.

Throughout his career, he had signed countless contracts worth millions. Every person he had ever dealt with scrutinized every page, every sentence, and every condition before putting their signature anywhere near a document.

Yet the woman sitting beside him hadn’t even glanced at the first page.

She simply trusted him.

The realization warmed something deep inside his chest.

"Are you serious?" he asked.

"Yes."

There wasn’t even the slightest hesitation in her voice.

For several long moments, Zachary simply looked into her eyes. The trust he saw there made him smile despite himself, and for the first time that morning, he felt completely certain that he had chosen the right woman.

Eventually, he opened the document to the appropriate page and slid it toward her.

"Alright. Then sign here."

Sienna accepted the pen and signed her name without the slightest hesitation.

Once she finished, she handed the document back to him and looked up expectantly.

"Done. Is there anything else I need to sign?"

"No."

Zachary took the document and quickly reviewed it before flipping through several pages. After finding what he was looking for, he pulled out one sheet and handed it back to her.

"But I need you to read this page."

Sienna accepted the document, her curiosity immediately returning.

"What is it?"

"Read it first," he said, refusing to explain.

His mysterious expression only made her more suspicious.

Turning her attention toward the document, she began reading carefully.

At first, her expression remained neutral.

Then, after only a few seconds, surprise slowly spread across her face, replacing the curiosity she had shown moments earlier.

Sienna continued reading the document in silence. The more she read, the more confused she became.

After going through the page several times, she finally lifted her head and turned toward Zachary.

"This means..." she began slowly, trying to make sure she understood correctly, "...all the movable and immovable assets listed here are yours to give me?"

"Yes," Zachary replied calmly. "Those will be yours. If something ever happens to me someday, no one will be able to claim them. They’re yours."

Sienna lowered her gaze to the document again, but the words on the page still felt unreal. According to the list in front of her, Zachary had just transferred ownership of two plots of vacant land, a beachfront villa, and a luxury condominium in the capital to her.

Not only that, but there was also a restaurant, a twenty-five-story office building in the downtown, shares in several companies, and savings worth more money than she had ever imagined possessing in her entire life.

She had always known Zachary Sterling was wealthy. Everyone knew that. However, knowing he was rich and seeing the actual extent of his wealth were two completely different things. Looking at the list before her, she suddenly felt as though she had stepped into a world that didn’t belong to her.

After rereading the document, a thought suddenly crossed her mind.

’Wait... is he leaving me all of his wealth?’

The idea startled her enough that she immediately looked up at him.

"Zach, why are you giving me all your wealth?"

A soft chuckle escaped him. Reaching forward, he gently rested his hand beneath her chin and lifted her face so she would look directly at him.

"Sienna, that’s only a small portion of the assets I own. I have more assets than you can imagine," he said with an amused smile. "And don’t worry. I won’t go bankrupt after giving you that...much. I’m very good at my job."

Her lips parted slightly in shock.

The fact that he could casually call all of that a small portion of his assets left her speechless.

When she saw the smile lingering on his face, she hurriedly tried to explain herself.

"But, Zach... this is too much. I’m worried I—"

Before she could finish her sentence, Zachary leaned forward and gently captured her lips with his own.

The kiss lasted only a moment, but it was enough to completely interrupt her train of thought. By the time he pulled away, the words she had been trying to say had vanished.

Unfortunately, her distraction lasted only a few seconds.

The moment she saw him place the signed documents back into his briefcase, her concern immediately returned.

"Ugh. You’re very good at changing the subject. Can you revise the document, please?" she asked quickly. "What you gave me in the prenup is too much, Zach."

Once again, Zachary looked genuinely surprised by her reaction.

Most people would have accepted such a gift without asking a single question, yet Sienna’s first instinct was to return it.

"No," he said firmly while shaking his head. "This is final."

The determination in his voice left no room for discussion.

As if worried she might suddenly snatch the documents and tear them apart, he promptly closed the briefcase and moved it farther out of her reach.

Despite his efforts, Zachary could still see the reluctance written all over her face.

"Sienna," he said gently, reaching for her hand, "please accept it willingly. Consider them as my wedding gifts for you."

His expression was sincere yet meaningful, and there wasn’t the slightest trace of hesitation or doubt in his eyes.

Slowly, the tension inside her began to ease.

She finally nodded, although her mind remained filled with countless questions.

’Oh my gosh... am I really a millionaire now?’

The thought sounded ridiculous even inside her own head.

’...So, I own properties. I own businesses. This is unbelievable... Just a month ago, I was struggling under a mountain of debt, and now I’m surrounded by more money than I ever thought possible. Is this even real?’

The questions continued circling through her mind until she genuinely began wondering if she was dreaming.

Without thinking, she pinched her own hand.

The sharp sting immediately answered her question.

The pain proved that this wasn’t a dream.

Everything happening in front of her was real.

Suddenly, her eyes felt warm.
