After working all day, A-Xuan ate and left to deal with the two men following him. He walked to an alley not far from the hotel, waiting for them.

When they arrived, they saw him leaning against the wall. They smiled at each other, they felt like A-Xuan was making things effortless for them.

They approached him with a smile, and one of them asked:

"Excuse me kid, do you have a lighter?"

A-Xuan approached him riffling in his pocket, then he looked up meeting his eyes. He ordered:

"Look into my eyes."

The man looked at him with a smile, but it quickly disappeared.

"What do you see?"

"Stars."

"Good, don’t move."

The man stood frozen in place. His friend kept calling him, but he wouldn’t answer. A-Xuan looked at him, and he looked back worried and took a step back.

He ordered:

"Look into my eyes."

The man was already looking at him worried, but promptly all his worry disappeared.

"What do you see?"

"Stars."

"Good, you caught me and tossed me in the river as planned. After informing Darren, jump in the river and die."

A-Xuan walked to the other, repeating the same thing, and left. After taking his bag he took a cab to the airport.

A-Xuan was in his office writing. Yang Shuo barged in without knocking, as usual.

"What’s up?"

Yang Shuo walked to him and put papers in front of him. He explained frustrated:

"I don’t understand what’s wrong with the dosage, every test failed." 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺

A-Xuan took the paper, scribbling on it, and showed him.

"See here, you can’t put more than 5 grams of it, or the result will be decreased by half."

Yang Shuo took the paper and nodded in understanding. He complained:

"How did I not see that ?"

A woman’s voice was heard.

"You tend to work on multiple projects at a time."

Yang Shuo looked around searching for the voice and A-Xuan smiled.

He opened a page on his computer. Yang Shuo smiled brightly.

"Hi Leia, I didn’t know you were talking, sorry."

Leia smiled.

"It’s fine, how are you?"

"I’m okay. How about you? How did your finals go?"

Leia smiled.

"It went well, thank you."

A-Xuan smiled looking at those two. He loves that they get along so well since they’re two of the people he cares most about.

A-Xuan asked:

"Is all your stuff packed?"

Leia answered excitedly:

"It is! I can’t wait to see you."

A-Xuan smiled at her.

"I can’t wait to see you too."

He genuinely is, over the years he’s been in B Country he never stopped being in contact with Leia.

They would always talk every two days, except when he was starting Song Pharmatech. Once he moved, he decided to take the original’s mother’s last name and name the company after her.

He knew he would go back to A Country eventually to become the leader of the market there too, so he didn’t want his company to be associated with Wu Pharma in any way.

After he graduated, he took the most valuable people from the university to work for him. People he knew he could trust, and he chose Yang Shuo as his second.

They became best friends over the years and all the hours they put in to take Song Pharmatech off the ground.

It’s weird to him to think that he has a best friend, even in the real world he never had any. In the previous world even if he was close to Dain and Alstone they weren’t as close as he is with Yang Shuo.

Now not only does he not have one, but many friends and he also has a sister. He understands completely why the original was willing to do whatever it takes for her.

A-Xuan considers Leia as his real sister, she’s the sweetest person he ever met, and genuinely loves her.

He insisted:

"I’ll come to pick you up tomorrow at 4, you better be ready!"

"Ughh, I will be. I have to go, love you bye."

A-Xuan smiled and hung up. Yang Shuo sat at his desk, asking:

"Are you excited to go back?"

"I am. I miss Leia and they need my help over there. I could only differ my coming for so long."

"Can I ask you something?"

A-Xuan nodded.

"How do you intend to convince Bloom Pto?"

Bloom Pto only has a 1-year contract in case a better company comes into the market.

They’ve always chosen Wu Pharma because they were the best, but not anymore. Song Pharmatech doesn’t just develop and create drugs, they also created prosthetics that are controlled by the wearer’s thoughts.

It gave numerous soldiers a chance to have a normal life after fighting for so long. The government wanted to buy the patent, but A-Xuan refused or ordinary people who lost a limb in an accident wouldn’t have access to it.

He still has a contract with the military, which makes Song Pharmatech millions. Contrary to other pharmaceutical companies, they work intricately with technology.

He needed to create a steady base before expanding to A Country. He knows it won’t be difficult to find a pharmaceutical trade organization, he already received multiple offers.

But to take Wu Pharma down, he needs to get that contract with Bloom Pto. No matter how angry Bastian is, he’s smart enough to not mix it with business.

"I don’t need to convince him. He’s smart enough to know we’re better than Wu Pharma."

A-Xuan already told Yang Shuo everything. He needed him to know before he became the second and decide to help him. He’ll never put someone in a situation they didn’t ask for.

Furthermore, he has a hard time keeping secrets from him. With his hazel eyes, curly hair, and cute face, he looks like the most innocent kid you’ll ever meet. They’re both 22, but Yang Shuo looks like he’s 17. It makes him want to take care of him.

Yang Shuo answered as matter of fact:

"He should be, contrary to them, we have a laboratory in our company instead of outsourcing it. We’re responsible from the beginning to the end."

Because Darren wanted to cut the coast, he closed the laboratory the original used to work in and outsourced it to another laboratory they pay.

Running your research and development team coast a lot of money, but less than having a company do it for you. Because of that, multiple times, Wu Pharma had to take drugs off the market because of unforeseen side effects.

A-Xuan doesn’t release drugs that aren’t checked by him using the system. The original’s goal was to help people, so he won’t cut corners.

With the money, he makes with the prosthetics and biotech, he’s able to make medication affordable for everyone. Like that, the company makes money while helping people.

After pressing a button, a man knocked on A-Xuan’s office door. Yang Shuo yelled:

"Come in."

Isaac came in and pointed out:

"This isn’t your office."

Yang Shuo narrowed his eyes at him, but before he could say something A-Xuan explained:

"We’re leaving for A Country tomorrow. While we are there you’re not to leave Shuo’s side. Do you understand?"

Isaac approached and asked with a hint of worry:

"What about you?"

A-Xuan smiled reassuringly.

"I’ll be fine."

Shuo looked at him, reminding:

"He already tried to hurt you once."

"But he won’t this time because I have something he wants. That fool actually emailed me to collaborate. It’s not even a collaboration, he wants my patent to further his company while he has nothing to offer. I pretended to be interested, until then, he won’t lay a finger on me. But just in case, Isaac will be your shadow."

Darren thinks that having the biggest pharmaceutical company in A Country at his side will help with Song Pharmatech sales. How cocky is he? Like he needs Wu Pharma’s help.

Furthermore, A-Xuan’s company is worth three times Darren’s. But because Wu Pharma is a long-established company he thinks he’s above any new company like Song Pharmatech.

The next day, A-Xuan walked out of A Country’s airport. A-Xuan looked at Shuo and Isaac:

"I already sent security at the hotel I booked for you guys, just in case. I’ll call you once I pick up Leia."

Isaac said:

"I promise I won’t let anything happen to him, even if I can’t stand him."

A-Xuan laughed and Shuo looked at him with resentment. When his car arrived, he quickly hugged them and got in. When he arrived in front of Bloom’s mansion, he told the driver to wait for him and knocked.

A butler opened the door.

"Hello, I’m here to see Leia."

Recognizing him, the butler looked at him stunned. Ever since A-Xuan left, everyone was sure that he died. Only Leia knew he didn’t. Seeing that he was frozen in shock, A-Xuan passed him walking to the living room while saying:

"Tell her to come down, I’m in a hurry."

The butler closed the door and ran up the stairs. He stopped at a door, knocking. When he heard enter he came in and then closed the door behind him. Bastian looked at his white face and asked:

"What’s wrong?"

The butler swallowed:

"A-A-Xuan is downstairs. He isn’t dead."

Bastian smiled and left his office.
