When A-Xuan opened his eyes, a man was howling at him.

"The only reason I kept you here is that my father asked me, and this is how you repay me?"

A-Xuan closed his eyes for a second, then opened them again. So this is Bastian, the 21-year-old marketing genius. A-Xuan sneered:

"You kept me?"

Bastian’s eyes narrowed dangerously.

"What did you say?"

"You said you kept me as if I’m a dog. You didn’t keep shit, okay, the maids did."

Bastian said:

"For the first time, my father was wrong about something, you. If destroying the only thing I had left of my mother wasn’t enough, you dare talk back to an adult."

Bastian lifted his hand to slap him, but A-Xuan grabbed his wrist before he could. He smiled and said:

"Thank you for making this so easy. I’ll be out of your life in 15 minutes since this is clearly what you want."

He tossed his hand after and left. Leia was on the side crying while Victoria had a smirk on her face.

A-Xuan followed the original’s memory and went to his bedroom. He sat on the bed and closed his eyes to receive the integrality of the world’s information.

This body is 16 years old, known as Jacob Wu. His father Wu Yunlian was married to Shengmei and had one son, Darren Wu.

Jacob’s father was the president of Wu Pharma, a pharmaceutical company. He worked with Bloom Pto a pharmaceutical trade organization where he met Jacob’s mother, a European on vacation in China.

They fell in love at first sight and decided to be together. Yunlian divorced his wife and moved in with his new girlfriend.

They married and had three children, Victoria, Jacob, and Leia. Yunlian lived with his new family and would see Darren two times a week.

When Jacob turned 16, Yunlian decided to name him the heir of Wu Pharma. Jacob had a photographic memory, which made his schooling easy.

Every time he would come back from school, he would learn about microbiology. He always dreamed of being a pharmaceutical scientist and developing new drugs that could help people.

With his mother and father’s teaching, by the time he was 14, he could already work in the Wu Pharma research lab. Seeing how passionate he was, Yunlian decided to change the heir.

At the time, Darren was 20 years old and already working at the company. Yunlian went to see Shengmei and Darren, telling them that Jacob would inherit the company in the future.

Shengmei was hurt after Yunlian fell in love with someone, so she poisoned his ears his entire childhood.

Despite hating his father, Darren had a lukewarm relationship with him because he wanted the company.

So, when they found out that the only thing they hung onto was no longer, they decided to get rid of Yunlian before he revised his will.

Shengmei slept with Yunlian’s attorney, so he would steal time for the revisal of the will. Darren used Yunlian and his wife’s date night to get rid of them for good.

He paid someone to mess with the brakes of Yunlian’s car, and they both died on the scene of the car crash.

Jacob and both his sisters moved in with their godfather, the president of Bloom Pto as stated in Yunlian’s will. Darren took over Wu Pharma as per the will.

Except that Yunlian had actually made a new will, naming Jacob the heir. The problem is that it was confiscated as evidence at the scene of the crime since Yunlian and his wife’s car accident was ruled a murder.

The will was in a USB flash drive kept at the police station. After Darren found out, he sacrificed the man he hired to cut the brakes, and after he was sent to jail the case was closed.

Unfortunately, Darren and his mother couldn’t pick up the flash drive for fear of creating suspicion. Darren believed that if something happened to Jacob, then, the will would be useless.

He got in touch with Victoria to get an idea of the family’s dynamic after the death of their parents. Victoria told him that Jacob only cared for his baby sister Leia and school.

Jacob was close to his godfather and became a little depressed when he moved away. His son Bastian Bloom ran the company and had maids take care of the three of them.

Victoria told Darren every detail, and he quickly understood that she hated him. Victoria indeed hated him, because she felt as though her parents only cared about him and Leia.

Even when they passed away, the two of them were always together and she felt like the odd one out. Darren and Victoria decided to work together to have Jacob killed.

Jacob was very withdrawn and would only go from home to school. They had no opportunity, so they decided to first create conflict between him and Bastian.

Victoria took the most precious item Bastian had, a glass chess set, and broke it. When Bastian found out, he interrogated them but no one confessed.

Victoria gave him the idea to check everyone’s room, and he found a few chess pieces in Jacob’s room.

Bastian was so infuriated that he screamed and slapped him. He tossed him out of the house without anything, and Jacob had nowhere to go.

Two men that Darren paid knocked him out and tossed his body into the river after strapping bricks on him.

His body was only found a year later and because of the conditions, they couldn’t find any clue.

Victoria and Darren ended up marrying, while Leia became depressed after she found out that Jacob was dead. Before Bastian tossed him out of the house, he promised her that he would come back to get her.

Even if it was difficult, she hung onto that promise, so when she found out the truth she became depressed and suicidal. After she tried too many times to kill herself, Victoria put her in an asylum. She died not long after.

When he opened his eyes again, A-Xuan was angry. This is your chance. He looked around the room and packed a bag just for two days.

He linked the original’s computer with his system CF to make money quickly. He has enough cash for the next few days, that’s all he needs to make money.

He put the computer in his backpack and left the room after checking his reflection quickly. The reflection showed a little thin boy with wavy dark hair and a round face.

He had almond-shaped green eyes and a well-set straight nose paired with full red lips. A-Xuan walked down the stairs satisfied enough but stopped midway. He looked at Leia, who was at the entrance crying. A-Xuan feels guilty about leaving her, but he has to.

The only way for him to create a better future for her is for him to do it first. Here he knows that she’ll be safe, Darren isn’t after her.

But if she comes with him, she’ll get caught in the crossfire. He knows how much the original loved her and how he wished he kept his promise.

He feels his love for her, and he won’t let them down. A-Xuan went down the rest of the stairs and walked to her.

He wiped her tears, promising:

"Once I settle I’ll come back for you, I swear."

Leia wrapped her arms around his waist, hugging him tightly. A-Xuan held her just as tight and caressed her head. He said:

"You have my number, you can call me anytime."

Leia pulled back and wiped her tears.

"You have to come back." 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

A-Xuan went through his bag and gave her a cell phone. He whispered:

"I made this just for you. You’re the only one who can unlock it, always communicate with this, okay?"

She nodded and put the cell phone in her pocket. She could tell that A-Xuan didn’t want anyone to know.

A-Xuan walked to the table in the hall and took out all the credit cards that were given to the original by his godfather or Bastian.

He put them on the table and then looked up at Bastian who was standing up the stairs. He had dark hair and just as dark eyes. He had an aquiline nose and a chiseled jawline.

He looked like a demon straight out of hell. A-Xuan could feel his anger, even with the stairs separating him.

He looked at him with a flash of pain, even know you persist. A-Xuan gave one last hug to Leia and left.

The cab was already waiting for him. He got in and gave the address for a hotel. He knew he was followed by the men Darren paid.

When he arrived at the hotel, he paid and went straight to his room. He sat on the bed using his computer.

Before he sends Darren and Shengmei to jail, he wants them to pay by destroying what they care most about Wu Pharma.

Once Yunlian passed away, Darren changed everything about the company. Yunlian chose Jacob as the heir because he had the same value as him.

He wasn’t working for money, he worked hard to help people. Yunlian wanted to make medications more affordable, so he could help more people, but Darren thought that it was foolish and that they should raise the prices.

They are the leading pharmaceutical company in A Country, so he knows that no matter how high the prices are people will still buy.

Furthermore, they have Bloom Pto as their manufacturer and distributor which supply most of the country. He won’t let history repeat itself.
