Chapter 129: 11.11 How can you be so adorable?

Darren looked at the door annoyed, this was one of the things he always hated about Victoria. She’s too excessive, but now he’s done with that.

Honestly, at first, what drew him to Victoria was the fact that it was wrong and that they had to keep it a secret. But now that people know, he doesn’t feel it anymore.

He only acted like he did yesterday so his mother wouldn’t be so harsh on him. She knows what it’s like to love the wrong person. Now the only thing left to do is talk to A-Xuan.

Because of that threat, he had to take money from the company and send it to those men. Once he did, he received the originals of the pictures, so at least he knows no one will know.

He’s 100% sure that the person threatening him is the two men he paid to kill A-Xuan. If not, why would they disappear after pretending to kill him?

They received a large amount of money from him, and now that they’re out they used his relationship with Victoria to get more money.

No one knows that he took money from the company, but it won’t be a problem once he merges with A-Xuan and signs with Bloom Pto. Darren smiled.

A-Xuan was in the conference room at Bloom Pto waiting for Bastian. He checked his cell phone, satisfied.

Darren is truly a fool, the only reason he managed to stay in business in the original timeline is that he had Bloom Pto as his distributor.

Every one of his business decisions is reckless and irrational. Shuo nudged him when Bastian entered, he sat in front of them apologizing:

A-Xuan asked:

"Is everything okay?"

Bastian’s heart softened and he smiled.

"It is."

A-Xuan smiled. He gave a file to Shuo, and he stood up, giving it to Bastian. A-Xuan explained:

"This is our plan for the next year. Our company is fully operational, and we want to offer the exact service we do in B country. Medications that are affordable for everyone and work closely with the military to help wounded soldiers. We will also offer prosthetics to civilians and run our research and development laboratory."

Bastian looked at the dossier, he still can’t imagine how A-Xuan managed to build Song PharmaTech in 5 years. The fact that he is Darren’s brother is baffling to him.

He knows Darren since they’ve been working together for the past 6 years. This means he knows he only cares about profit, despite the person he pretends to be in front of him.

The way he runs Wu Pharma is the opposite of everything Yunlian stood for. But when he looks at A-Xuan, he sees that he has the same value as his father.

He wants to make medication more accessible for the less fortunate and help everyone. He could’ve just signed with the military for his prosthetic and earn three times as much as he’s earning right now, but he refused, so civilians could have access to it too.

He took a contract and gave it to his attorney. Attorney Wan took it and gave it to A-Xuan. A-Xuan went through it and looked at Bastian, before he smiled the attorney next to him said:

"Son this is a lot of money you should accept."

A-Xuan looked at attorney Wan with hatred. He’s the one Shengmei slept with, so he could delay the changing of the will. Luckily, Yunlian could feel that something was wrong and contacted someone else in secret.

Unfortunately, that attorney told attorney Wan, who warned Darren and his mother. He played a massive part in Yunlian and his son’s destruction.

The only reason he hasn’t run to them to tell them about Bastian signing with Song PharmaTech is that he knows better than to mess with Bastian.

A-Xuan threatened:

"Do not call me son, or talk to me as if I’m a child unless you want to die."

Attorney Wan looked at him shocked, he’s known A-Xuan ever since he was a kid, and he’s always been respectful. He was often at Wu Pharma, and he saw how he worshiped his father, everyone at the company loved him.

He would call him uncle, but right now, he is threatening him. He can’t reconcile those two pictures of him. Bastian looked at A-Xuan and could see that he hates attorney Wan, it was not just disliked.

He nodded at him, and he left, carefully avoiding A-Xuan’s eyes never left him until he left the conference room.

How can you forsake 20 years of friendship just for sex?

If he was in love with Shengmei he could’ve understood at least a little, but he never was. Even after their deal was done, he still went to tell them about the secret will.

Because of him, the original and the attorney who handled the new will died. He knows it, and yet, he couldn’t care less. I’ll make sure he dies a terrible death. Shuo put a hand on A-Xuan’s and looked at him worried.

A-Xuan held his hand for a few seconds and let go.

"I’m fine. I’ll deal with every one of them."

A-Xuan looked at Bastian and agreed:

"We agree with every one of your terms."

A-Xuan took the pen and signed the contract. Bastian smiled,

looking at him. When he saw how angry he got at his attorney, he was worried he would refuse.

When he was done signing, he looked at Bastian and could see he wanted to say something. He looked at Shuo and Isaac and they left.

Bastian asked:

"Are you okay?"

A-Xuan nodded.

"I am."

Bastian wanted to get up to hug him or something, but he didn’t know how to go about it.

He’s not used to being unsure. When it comes to the business world he’s always sure and straightforward, but when it comes to love he’s clueless.

He’s borderline shy since he knows nothing about it. Bastian got up walking a few steps unsure then stopped. A-Xuan smiled and got up, walking to him. He hugged him and Bastian held on to him. Gege how can you be so adorable?
