Shuo was behind the glass looking at A-Xuan and Bastian with a smile. Quickly his smile disappeared, and his eyes filled with sadness. He wishes Isaac could look at him the same way Bastian looks at A-Xuan.

Even a blind man could see how much he loves him and vice versa. When he saw how A-Xuan looked at him, it gave him hope. He could see love in A-Xuan’s eyes, so if he could fall in love so rapidly with Bastian then maybe Isaac could too.

Why do I keep fooling myself? After getting water, Isaac went back to the conference room. He stopped behind Shuo when he saw A-Xuan and Bastian hugging. He smiled looking at them.

He was looking up but the next second Shuo bumped into him. He looked at him in surprise, his eyes were shining with unshed tears.

Isaac looked at him worried, he pulled him into his embrace and asked:

"What’s wrong?"

Shuo just looked at him, not saying anything. Tears fell down his face and Isaac felt like his heart was being crushed. He can’t stand to see him sad or cry.

He pulled him for a hug, but before he could Shuo pushed him away and ran toward the restroom. Isaac followed him and watched as he locked himself in one of the stalls.

He made sure no one was there, then knocked on it.

"Shuo talk to me."

Shuo yelled:

"Get out!"

"I’m not leaving until you come out."

Shuo open the stall and pushed Isaac. He never saw him this angry, and now he was angry too. He shouted:

"Shuo do you hate me that much?"

Even if he often pushes him away and doesn’t always take well his jokes, he never thought he hates him but now...

Shuo could see the hurt in his eyes and yelled frustrated:

"This isn’t fair, I can’t keep doing this."

"Doing what?"

Shuo looked down and said:

"You always go too far and make me think that we’re more than we are. But this is just who you are, you’re a flirt. I need boundaries between us. Isaac, I can’t do it anymore, I’m sick of being disappointed. I know to you, it’s nothing, and you act like that with everyone, but to me, it’s not, and I don’t."

Isaac looked at him, stunned. So, this is why he’s been like that? He thinks I act that way with everyone. He said he’s tired of being disappointed, which means he likes him too.

Isaac’s eyes lit up, and he pulled Shuo into his arms, kissing him. Shuo’s struggle only lasted a few seconds. He’s in the arm of the person he has feelings for, how can he resist him?

Isaac pulled back, looking at Shuo’s shiny eyes.

"You’re beautiful."

Shuo looked at him surprised, panting.

He could see the desire in Isaac’s eyes, but is that all he feels for him? He doesn’t want to have just a physical relationship with him.

"I don’t flirt with anyone but you. I always teased you because I didn’t know how to tell you that I like you."

Shuo couldn’t believe his words, he asked to be certain.

"You what?"

Isaac smiled.

Before he became a bodyguard he was a soldier and after so many years fighting abroad, he lost his joie de vivre.

But then he met this cute scientist who blushed every time he teased him, and he started feeling again for the first time in 2 years.

After that, he became hooked, and he loved going to work even more. He already liked his job, but seeing Shuo every day made it 100 times better.

"After all those years fighting, I didn’t think I could have any kind of feelings again until I met you. Baby, you’re the one who made me feel again."

Shuo knew that he was a soldier, but he never shared his experience there, and he didn’t want to pry. But from what he said, it must’ve been extremely difficult.

He already knows how hard it is since they work with the military and help thousands of soldiers in difficult conditions, but they only stop at their physical state.

So, when you see a fit soldier who doesn’t have any physical scars and appears happy you immediately think he’s okay, but mental wellness is everything. Shuo caressed his cheek, his eyes softening. He wrapped his arms around his neck and kissed him.

A-Xuan walked out of the conference room with Bastian.

"Do you know what room attorney Wan is in?"

Bastian immediately answered:

"Second office on 4th floor."

He knows that A-Xuan’s after him, but he couldn’t care less. After investigating, he found out that Darren and his mother are responsible for Yunlian and his wife’s death. It was easy to conclude that they were the ones after A-Xuan.

A-Xuan is not planning on keeping anything from him, if he wants his help he will for sure. He always liked Yunlian so if he can avenge his death he will.

A-Xuan said before heading for Attorney Wan’s office.

"Please tell Isaac and Shuo to wait for me here."

Bastian nodded.

A-Xuan walked to Wan’s office and entered without knocking. Wan looked at him surprised. He leaned back to create distance when A-Xuan sat on one of the chairs in front of his desk.

A-Xuan smiled and ordered:

"Look into my eyes."

Wan did.

"What do you see?"

"Stars."

A-Xuan ordered:

"Go to the police station and say that you need to check the evidence from Yunlian’s case. Once they do, steal the USB flash drive and make sure no one sees you. When you’re out, bring it to Shengmei and tell her you did it because you love her."

Wan nodded and A-Xuan pulled out a transparent small piece of paper and gave it to him.

"The moment you touch the USB drive, stick it somewhere no one will see." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Wan took it and nodded.

"Go now."

Wan got up and left. A-Xuan stood up and walked behind him with a smile.
