When they reached the door A-Xuan gave Charles a warning glare. He entered the closed the door behind him. Louis who had seen A-Xuan enter sat up apprehensively on his bed.

He watched as A-Xuan filled a suitcase with clothes. He was sitting on his bed folding the clothes rapidly. Is he leaving? Louis frowned. Was he just going to leave without telling me if I hadn’t been here?

Louis got up and asked anxiously:

"You’re leaving?"

"I’m moving into Ren’s house."

Louis was surprised but he still asked to make sure he didn’t understand wrong:

"You mean Private Ren?"

A-Xuan who still had his head down focused on filling the suitcase and answered:

"Who else?"

"Why? I don’t understand."

A-Xuan murmured:

"I can’t..."

A-Xuan stopped midsentence and the hand that was flying stopped in mid-air.

He said as loud as a whisper:

"Stay here anymore."

Louis looked at him intently, he could hear the sadness in his voice. He felt the need to hug him and said reassuringly:

"We’ll still see each other in class or training."

A-Xuan said:

"I have a personalized schedule, I won’t attend group class except for some specific training exercise."

"Oh."

Louis for some reason felt uncomfortable knowing he wouldn’t be here every time he’ll come into the room. A-Xuan looked up to meet his eyes and saw the complicated feelings he had.

What? Now that you don’t have me as a back up you’re sad? A-Xuan hates inconsistent people like that. He was on top of Steven an hour ago and now he acts devastated that I’m leaving.

A-Xuan heard a knock so he quickly closed his suitcase to leave. He knows his husband has already been patient enough. He got up with the suitcase and walked to the door.

Before he could open it Louis stood in front of him. He looked at A-Xuan who evaded his eyes.

"Are you that disgusted with me that you won’t even look me in the eyes?"

A-Xuan looked at him angrily. He pushed him against the wall and boxed him with both hands at the side of his head. He said:

"Don’t play dumb, you know what you did."

Louis looked at him as guilt flashed through his eyes. He whispered:

"I know, I-I didn’t mean to hurt you."

A-Xuan smiled sarcastically:

"Really? Is that why you ended our relationship and started to date a cheap copy of me? You’re not stupid enough to believe the rumors circulating right? I mean seeing how you went for him you probably are. Whatever."

A-Xuan pulled back and grabbed his suitcase. Louis pulled his wrist to stop him.

A-Xuan didn’t resist, he asked tiredly:

"What can you possibly say that would make any of this okay? I thought you were sincere when you chased after me but turns out it was all a lie."

"It wasn’t, I just got scared when all those rumors about you started coming out."

A-Xuan asked:

"Were you? You knew full well who was behind them and why. Steven has always wanted to be me so he changed everything about himself including his cold and ruthless personality. Since he knew I wanted to be with you he had to have you too. I mean you realize you’re just a tool to piss me off right? While you’re using him because you can’t have the real thing. Maybe you are meant to be together."

A-Xuan pulled his wrist opened the door and left. Louis watched his retreating back with sorrow. He felt a chill down his spine and his eyes fell on Charles’s cold eyes. His eyes were menacing.

Wait does he like A-Xuan? No, he can’t right? Ever since this morning, all the academy has been talking about is A-Xuan. People anonymously posted pictures of him and everyone felt like licking their screen.

Before his reputation was destroyed he had a lot of followers but now they all followed him back especially after he posted a selfie. Now the whole academy is going to want to be with him.

No, you know what I can do it. No one knows him better than I do. Louis closed the door determinedly.

A-Xuan arrived home and after dropping off his suitcase went to class. He was the only student in the teacher’s office. People with higher spiritual force would use different techniques than the ones with lower.

To be able to have a stabilized spiritual force you need to have a strong mentality and psyche. The smallest ruffle can rip your mind apart. A-Xuan isn’t worried about that with CF backing him up.

Killing a soul-eating beast should be child’s play. The orientation trial decides which branch you’ll be working on.

Every four years the academy makes the final evaluation at Alpha century because a new collective consciousness is born every 4 to 5 years.

The new one was born a month ago and in a month the student will be headed there for their orientation trial.

The planet is filled with different types of monsters besides soul-eating. But the one who gets you more points is those.

Anyone who locates and destroys the collective consciousness is free to choose where they want to work, which is a very big honor. After morning class A-Xuan went to the cafeteria for lunch, as soon as he entered everybody looked at him.

He grabbed a tray and filled it with food. He went toward the closest free table and put the tray down first.

He pulled the chair but when he bent down to sit he ended up sitting on warm laps. Charles held onto his waist and picked up food and directed it to his mouth.

A-Xuan didn’t open his mouth, he just looked at him.

"Open."

"I already told you there’s only one person who can make me do whatever he wants me to."

Charles put down the chopsticks and turned his head so he would see Steven and Louis eating together.

Charles watched as his expression turned and a flash of sadness passed through his eyes. He held him tighter and A-Xuan nuzzled on his chest.

From the beginning, everyone was looking at them first because A-Xuan has been trending since this morning, second because Charles had someone on his lap. Private Ren the coldest man in the federation is actually doting on someone.

Charles is pretty much a rockstar in the federation. He has the strongest spiritual and physical force and every battle he leads is always successful.

He helps coach recruits during times of peace. He hasn’t graduated from the academy but he already has more victory than private who’s been doing this for 20 years.

When A-Xuan made sure people had enough pictures of him being sad he pulled back and Charles caressed his cheek.

A-Xuan said in a pouting tone:

"I’m hungry."

Charles smiled, he picked the chopstick and started to feed him. A lot of people filmed as he alternated between feeding himself and A-Xuan. They both didn’t seem to be bothered by any of it.

Louis watched with a slight frown on his face. So private Ren is really after him... We’ll see about that. Steven’s hand tightened into a fist when he saw how Private Ren was doting on A-Xuan.

His expression became scarier when he saw Louis’s desire to possess A-Xuan. He saw how the whole Academy fussed about him because of his new haircut and attitude. I just need to do the same and spread rumors about him copying me again.

He stopped looking when a friend of theirs came in running.

"Guys, did you see? A-Xuan has been trending the entire morning."

He stood between Steven and Louis and showed them his cellular.

He had gained more than 100 thousand followers just because of his pretty face. Steven felt disgusted and clicked on his profile while drinking. He spitted out a mouthful of water when he saw A-Xuan’s latest post.

He looked at A-Xuan and he became full of rage when he saw him look back with an innocent smile and wave at him. Steven heard the whole cafeteria gasp in adoration.

A-Xuan decided to first clear out his reputation. He knew that Steven would change his hair color too so he made himself trend and posted evidence. In the first picture were the original and Steven on the first day at the academy.

You could see Steven’s brown hair. The more photo you’d see the more you would see Steven’s transformation into the original.

After all the pictures there was a video of Steven crying and thanking the origin’s grandfather for raising him like a son and paying for the Academy.

He even said he would work with the original as his second in command forever and that he would never betray him. It’s funny how that worked out.

The sole reason the original grandfather did what he did was that he knew how much his grandson cared for Steven but he felt no guilt in betraying him and then killing him. A-Xuan will make sure Steven has the same fate.
