Steven looked at the text underneath the pictures.

*I don’t mind you trying to imitate me, spread malicious rumors, or take my friends and boyfriend away. What I mind is you biting the hand that fed you. My grandfather taught you everything you know today and despite your mother’s terrible behavior he never turned his back on you. The only reason you’re at the Academy is because of him yet you dare lie by saying that we both mistreated you when my grandfather is the sole reason you’re not a beggar on the street today. If you dare mention my grandfather again I’ll sue you for slander.*

Louis felt horrified after watching and reading all of it. He took his tray and stammered:

"I-I have to go."

Louis ran before Steven could stop him and almost tripped face-first on the cutlery. A-Xuan got up from Charles’s lap grabbing him before he hurt himself.

Watching his boyfriend almost get hurt like that Steven was terrified, he got up to check on him.

But when he came A-Xuan had already checked him and asked worriedly:

"Are you okay?"

Louis nodded with a smile. He was happy to see the concern on A-Xuan’s face and he felt even happier when he heard him sigh in relief. He murmured:

"Thank you for your help."

Charles hated how the warmth had left him and hated even more the concern he saw on A-Xuan’s face.

He pulled him on his lap with a sad expression on his face. He was like a sad puppy being chastised by its master. A-Xuan laughed and everyone fell into a trance after that melodic sound.

A-Xuan cupped Charles’s face and asked with a smile while both Louis and Steven were standing listening. The whole cafeteria was actually.

"What’s wrong?"

Charles didn’t say anything he just looked down with pouty lips. A-Xuan kissed his nose and coaxed:

"Fine you can ask whatever you want and I’ll do it."

Charles immediately lifted his head excited, he whispered in his ear so only A-Xuan would hear:

"I want you to never talk to Louis ever again."

While he said that A-Xuan looked at Louis with a painful expression on his face. Everyone clearly understood what he had asked. Louis took a breath scared A-Xuan would agree while Steven was scared he wouldn’t.

A-Xuan got up, after evading Charles’s disappointed look he left. Louis ran after him but as soon as he got out of the cafeteria couldn’t see him anywhere.

He frowned, despite what happened when A-Xuan left the room he can feel that he isn’t completely closed off. He’s not going to let A-Xuan be with someone who isn’t him even less Charles.

Who does he think he is to tell A-Xuan to give up on him? They’ve known each other longer while Charles just became interested in him. It angers him how now the entire academy wants him but he’s not worried A-Xuan will be his.

A-Xuan spent the rest of the day going to class and catching up on all the things that needed to be done by the original. He got his new schedule and saw that he was only going to get trained by Charles.

He was only supposed to make a schedule for his personalized training not actually train him but here we are. He wasn’t shocked his husband would never let someone else touch him even for training.

A-Xuan entered home and followed the fragrance emanating from the kitchen. He sat behind the counter watching Charles cook. A-Xuan smiled as he gazed at his back.

Charles decided to cook for A-Xuan because he feels guilty about putting him on the spot at the cafeteria. When he turned his eyes landed on A-Xuan, his blue eyes were shining brightly.

He had a smile on and Charles felt his heartbeat quicken. Seeing him not hold a grudge made him feel even more guilty. He murmured:

"I’m sorry."

A-Xuan smiled wider, how can he be so cute? He knows what he is worried about but it would be best to keep some distance from him.

The last world kinda scared him. He knew how much he loved his husband but his feelings were intense because of what he’s been through.

For 20 000 years, nothing could set him off but seeing his husband go through the smallest grievance is the only thing that can. He felt like he was drowning deeper and deeper in quicksand.

Maybe I shouldn’t blur the lines between friend and lover and see how things go.

"It’s fine, I’m not upset."

Charles looked at him hopeful:

"So you don’t hate me?"

"I don’t, I want us to be friends."

Charles said:

"I’d like that too."

"Good."

A-Xuan smiled and Charles smiled back. Sure we can be friends now but you’ll be mine soon enough. Charles only agreed so he doesn’t scare him. But there is no way in hell he’ll accept him dating anyone else even less Louis.

He still can’t understand how he could dump him for someone like Steven. It is better for him but it’s insane that someone would choose him over A-Xuan.

A-Xuan could see the gears turning in his husband’s mind but didn’t say anything. After they ate together A-Xuan took a shower and went to bed.

For a month A-Xuan’s schedule was class, training, and home. After showing Louis he had feelings for him he completely ignored him. Every time he would pass him he would act like he hadn’t seen him.

Many times he tried to talk to him but A-Xuan would ignore him and walk away. He could see him getting frustrated.

Steven was way too busy dealing with the remaining of his good reputation to care about his boyfriend wanting to talk to A-Xuan. Ever since A-Xuan proved that Steven was the copycat and a white-eyed wolf everyone started to turn on him.

The more his reputation declined the more A-Xuan’s would rise. He checked his communication and saw that he planned on having him killed during the orientation trial. Perfect.

Steven is truly a psycho, what kind of person would destroy someone who had your back ever since you were a kid? The original is the only reason he got into the Academy or that he would assist his grandfather’s lesson.

Stealing everything he cared about wasn’t enough he had to take his life too. The original is the perfect example of too good too dumb. During that time Charles behaved like a true friend which surprised A-Xuan.

His husband could barely go a day without doing him let alone a month. Plus he was extremely possessive he hated when he made friends but he never said anything when A-Xuan was with his friends.

After he went viral the whole academy wanted to be friends with him. A-Xuan was worried about how Charles would react but turns out he didn’t have to. He thought for sure he’s up to something or else he would’ve lost it.

A-Xuan started to track his coming and going and today he found out why he couldn’t care less about him. He has someone.

A-Xuan looked at his forearm as Charles talked about how much he missed him and how happy he is that he’s back at the academy. After checking A-Xuan found out that his name is Alex.

A-Xuan just wants to strangle him. But he wouldn’t, since his hubby can move on so easily then it means that in this life he never had real feelings for him to begin with.

When he thought about how he felt like he needed space from him he just wanted to laugh. I didn’t mean that kind of space. Anyway, the orientation trial is in a week so let’s just focus on that.

I’ll have Steven killed and leave this world, it’s not like I have to stay when the mission is over.

A-Xuan entered his home and went straight to his room. He stopped when he saw Alex sitting behind the counter talking to Charles while he cooked. A-Xuan narrowed his eyes as his hands tightened into fists.

Are you fuckin kidding me? So it isn’t enough that he’s dating someone he dares to bring him home? Then don’t blame me for being rude.

Charles turned and smiled at him. He said:

"Hey A-Xuan this is Alex, Alex this is A-Xuan. He’s joining us for the orientation trial."

Alex smiled as he walked toward A-Xuan, he raised a hand but A-Xuan ignored him. Alex could feel the coldness emanating from him and shivered.

Charles walked to Alex and asked him worriedly:

"Are you okay?"

"I am, I just feel a bit cold suddenly."

Charles took off his jacket and put it on top of Alex’s shoulders. You’ve got to be fuckin kidding me. A-Xuan looked at Charles with disgust and left for his room.

Charles watched his retreating back with a mischievous smile on. Baby, you really have a bad temper but don’t worry I’ll tame you.
