@Florence: Now I understand why Li Dagou is with Ming. They’re both terrible witches.
@Frenchlover: No wonder he kept secret how powerful he was. Everyone always tries to take advantage of him. Did you see the way he was talked to? Yet he still tried to be friends with Li Dagou. He doesn’t deserve his friendship.
@Marylovesunicorn: He even tried to use his fucked up idea of friendship to get his seer power. I’m so happy he’s losing them. He looks down on everyone but now everyone will look down on him.
@Yourrose: Li Dagou losing his power is justice. I’m so happy they filmed everything. Clearly, he doesn’t know.
@Leajames: I can’t wait to see his face when he sees the cameraman hehe.
Li Dagou watched A-Xuan’s retreating inside alarmed. If A-Xuan can’t help me then I’m screwed. He took a deep breath thinking, he wants to be friends with him he knows that for sure or he wouldn’t cry and be this hurt.
I just need to convince him once he calms down. When he was about to descend from the ping pong table he heard a sound and looked in the shadows.
His eyes widened in fear when the cameraman stepped into the light. Li Dagou ran into the house and locked himself in the bathroom. No this can’t be happening now father will know too.
Li Dagou came out and ran to Ming. Ming was in the kitchen when he was pulled into the bathroom by a hysterical Li Dagou. He locked the doors and looked at him with tears on his face.
Ming frowned.
"What happened?"
"I know why A-Xuan is a mage when two weeks ago he was a 5 tiered witch."
Ming’s eyes turned sharp.
"Why?"
"His core it’s different from ours. His power comes from his blood, as long as blood runs through his veins he’ll never run out. Even if you take his power it’ll regenerate again and again. He is the most powerful mage and he’ll always be."
Ming looked down fuming and his hands tightened into fists. How come he gets to have that much power when I’m weak? How come he’s better at everything than me?
He grew up in the palace while A-Xuan grew up in an orphanage but he still has it better than him since he gets to be the most powerful mage that has ever existed and ever will.
Li Dagou grabbed Ming’s hand waking him from his thoughts.
"I’m losing my powers."
Ming looked at him stunned.
"What?"
"I don’t know what happened but I only have two battles left before I run out. Then I’ll be a 5 tiered witch. I asked A-Xuan to give me his seer power since he can regenerate it but he refused. He cried and said that I don’t really want to be friends with him and that I just want his power. I thought we were alone but a cameraman was hiding! Now the whole realm knows that I won’t be a seer anymore."
Li Dagou started to cry louder hugging Ming. Ming pushed him looking at him with disdain.
Li Dagou was stunned, he approached him but Ming took a step back.
"You’re pathetic."
Li Dagou looked at him incredulously.
"W-what?"
"The only redeeming quality you had was your power and now it’s gone. You couldn’t even manipulate someone as stupid as A-Xuan to get his seer power. I was wrong about you you’re useless."
"I thought you loved me, I thought you’d still want to be with me even if I’m a 5 tiered witch."
Ming laughed while looking at him like he would a clown.
"Do you hear yourself? I was only with you because you were useful. You’re not anymore so we’re done."
Ming unlocked the door and left. Li Dagou grabbed his arms but he pushed him and he fell to the floor. He sat there looking at Ming leaving. He was just using me, he never loved me.
His tears fell knowing his whole life is done. At least even if he isn’t a seer anymore he would still be married to the king and that was the only thing that would’ve saved him from his father disowning him.
But now he’s done he has no boyfriend, family, or home to go back to. He knows his father very well he’ll chase him out for sure.
Li Dagou went to get something in his luggage and went back to the bathroom.
For the next few days, A-Xuan and Ming won all their battles and everyone knew they would face each other.
During that time the news of Li Dagou killing himself spread far and wide but his true colors spread further and wider. No one seemed to be impacted by his death.
Even his father Li Guang felt like he did him a favor. Still, he hated that Ming wouldn’t be his son-in-law.
But he forgot about that when he realized that A-Xuan was bound to finish him in the dome. He’s known Ming since he was a baby which means he knows he won’t yield.
The king was also worried about that. He tried everything to get in contact with his son but he failed at every turn.
He thought someone was trying to stop him and it was confirmed when he received a mail from his brother. It read:
*Just because Ming is your son doesn’t mean the rules of Mystic Warfare don’t apply to him. You know the participants can’t have any contact with the outside realm while they’re competing. I allowed it once but if you don’t want me to expulse him don’t try again.*
When he read his email he was furious. Who does he think he is? He’s the king. He didn’t know he found out about their previous encounter.
Knowing how humiliating it would be if Ming was expulsed because he talked to his daddy he stopped.
A-Xuan was in his room getting dressed for the final battle. Today father and son will go down. Both he and Ming were escorted and neither spoke.
When they entered the stadium everyone started to scream A-Xuan’s name. He smiled waving at them. They both entered the dome and the dome started to go up.
A-Xuan smiled sweetly at Ming. He knows he tried to get in touch with his father to get something that could take him down but he was never going to let that happen.
Ming smiled back with confidence while inside he was a mess. He didn’t get in touch with his father and now he has nothing to stop A-Xuan.
If worst comes to worst I’ll drop the bomb and make him yield. He knows how much A-Xuan wants a friend so if he finds out they are brothers he’ll do everything he asks.
When the dome was up A-Xuan said:
"You go first."
Ming narrowed his eyes.
"You got me jumping through a circle of fire, In your world it’s like a cage with a tiger."
A tiger materialized in front of A-Xuan and the next second he was encircled by fire.
Ming smirked and looked at A-Xuan with disdain. A-Xuan just smiled at him and approached the roaring tiger. He looked into his eyes and he knelt to pet him.
The whole realm looked at him shocked as he said:
"You’re very beautiful, I think I’ll keep you as a pet. Sit next to me."
The fire disappeared and the tiger sat at his side.
A-Xuan looked at Ming as he said:
"Since you went tiger I’ll raise you a wolf."
Ming looked at him his eyes widening in fear. He’s been deathly afraid of wolves since he was a kid.
If A-Xuan still being a mage wasn’t enough now he even randomly used the animal he’s most scared of.
"It wasn’t random I know how scared of them you are since that time in the woods."
Ming looked at him stupefied.
"How did you know that?"
A-Xuan smirked:
"I’m not your average mage, I know everything."
When he said that he looked at the King and Ming. Ming turned to look at his father worried.
It was clear to both of them that A-Xuan knows the truth. The king was just as worried as his son but he held face because they are live.
A-Xuan said:
"They replay their actions like hungry wolves, until the time itself dissolves."
A pack of wolves materialized and A-Xuan caressed the alpha.
"Look this is your prey, when I say attack finish him."
While saying that he pointed at Ming, and they all turned to look at him while they waited for A-Xuan to say attack. Ming took a few steps back.
He was bitten by a wolf when he was a kid in the woods since then he is mortally afraid of them. He looked at A-Xuan and when he saw his mocking eyes he realized that nothing he say would stop him.
So he decided to play the brother card. He took a deep breath watching the wolves and yelled:
"A-Xuan I’m your brother you can’t kill me."
