Chapter 84: my back hurts

"Just what are you doing?" Damian

Swing his blade repeatedly yet the man dodged every single one, his moves too fluid.

The man closed in, swinging a fist at Damian, Denting his armor and landing a punch on his liver. Damian didn’t seem to notice, still swinging at the man who dodged it and jumped back.

He tilted his head as Damian seemed to be just fine. "Your quite the sturdy guy. I knew Harvey said you were a problem, but we usually take care of you guys quite easily."

Damian meanwhile was trying not to show any signs of being affected. That liver punch made him want to curl up into a ball, but his pride wouldn’t allow it. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

He was used to enemies that weren’t in his range of power, but it seemed like these men were cut from a different cloth. He stood firm with a face that showed no doubt nor fear.

"And your quite The annoying pest. Come closer and stay a while so I can tear you apart."

Damian had heard about it before, People who instead of training their ability to manipulate energy like mana, instead opting to train their bodies. He seemed like one of those people.

A few men were closing in on him, intending to attack him from all sides, but the stranger intervened. "Stop! Touch him and your head will roll." The man made a shooing motion.

the men slowly withdrew, going to attack other people. Damian ignored them, walking towards his opponent. Not a bone in his body believed they were capable of causing harm to any of his friends, especially when they were on guard.

Damian rushed forward once more. As he swung his axe, more conservatively this time, intending to pull back. The man dodged it, Going for a Joint on his elbow. Thankfully the attack missed.

Yet the man pressed on, taking the initiative now. "It seems you’ve become more cautious than before." The man noted, Sending out heavy attacks, trying to hit weak points on his body, His attacks so powerful they treated his armor like it wasn’t even there.

He was too slow, Too unskilled. Overall too weak. Nothing could be done As the man’s piercing strikes easily slipped past his guard,

Shattering both his focus and his confidence.

He couldn’t stop blood from flowing out of his mouth this time around, which his enemy took notice of, a small smirk plastered on his face.

"Come on young man! You can do better than this. Unless you were just a sniffling ogre on a smaller frame."

Damian gritted his teeth as The attacks hit places that made him lose strength in his arms and legs. He eventually dropped his axes, His body too weak to use them.

Damian looked to his hands that he could barely even close, Grunting in frustration.

This was his first time facing someone so insufferable, yet so unbeatable.

"Damn you, Slow down!"

"Oh but weren’t you going to tear me apart? We wouldn’t want that." He said in a mocking tone.

Damian was seeing double as the man looked down at him in what seemed to be disappointment. "I wish I could keep you here, But like all of the recent adventurers, you like causing a ruckus. And just like them, this will be your final destination."

Damian arms felt like led. He mustered all his strength to swing. His hand was like a log, but the man casually ducked it, Wrapping his arms around him. "I wonder who I’ll give those axes to."

With surprising strength, The man lifted him up before squeezing. Surprisingly, He didn’t here any crushing either. In fact, It felt like the man he was crushing to death was getting a bit hot.

Suddenly, Damian’s arms broke from his grip, wrapping around his body.

The man looked up in shock, And he saw Damian. His glowing orange eyes and Sharp teeth in an angry grimace.

Damian then cocked his head back before slamming it into his. A gust of wind was being caused by the sheer force. The next time their heads collided it drew blood.

"GET OFF!" The man clawed at Damian’s arms, Trying to tear at them or crush them, Digging his finger into the skin of his biceps in desperation.

"No my friend, we were just discussing about who my belongings were being sent to. Surely you’re not afraid are you!?" Damian felt like he could throw up in that moment, yet he held tight.

Damian Held with all his might and continued,

Banging his head over and over again. The sound of crunching resound across the battlefield.

"I’m sure I have some nice armor as well. Would you be able to sell that?"

Yet as he looked upon his opponent, he was unconscious, One of his eyes obliterated, His hands as well as whole body twitching.

Damian himself looked crazed, blood covering his entire face.

as Damian let go of him, He spat on the man’s body. He was twitching and bleeding from his head. He was going to die anyway.

"Do I sell your belongings now?"

Damian didn’t gain much strength from his transformation. Instead, most of his demonic strength had already transferred to his main body. But it did give him increased regeneration and that was what he needed.

The man had to have some weakness. With all that speed and slickness, and power and precision, he had to lack in the durability department.

Damian had to wait until the man had dug his own grave, otherwise when he transformed, the man would just run away.

That being said, He almost died, And even after regenerating, his body hurt like hell.

As he turned, He saw a bunch of people considering deserting, but he couldn’t let anyone know about his team yet.

Despite his aching back, he jumped back into the fray.

Donny was facing a similar situation and unfortunately, he wouldn’t have demonic powers to save him.
