Chapter 86: Andrew getting comfy.
Firing a water bullet was a quick way to kill a horse. Andrew was currently firing off many at a time, Trying to stop the stampede that was coming at the group.
Dozens of men on horseback were riding in, and some were already collapsing with their horses.
They were going downhill and thus couldn’t turn back, as they tumbled many behind them began tripping over each other.
Andrew Jumped back, infusing mana into his feet, a few paces away from where men were tumbling to the bottom of the hill.
He began readying a spell for the men that survived.
Inwardly he was quite sad. Those poor horses didn’t deserve any of this. As he conjures enough water to smother most of the fallen, he hears wind tearing above him.
Wide eyed, Andrew turns around, encasing himself in a water barrier. Smashing down on top of it, was a man with a sword in each hand. He was clearly different to everyone here.
As he bounced off, Andrew Aimed a spell at him. A blast of water materialized, Firing towards him. As it gushed in his direction,
He didn’t dodge, merely slashing at it.
"Your good." The man said, his face completely covered by his helmet, Andrew used his voice to know that he was impressed.
He then dashed forward once more. Andrew was attempting to predict where he would be, putting a water bomb there, but he was barely able to track him.
’He’s using Haste!"
Meanwhile his opponent was smirking. Logan was looking at Andrew failing to be able to predict, And ran at him with full speed.
As he got to the barrier, that smirk transformed into a larger grin. Activating
(Greater strength) his armor and his sword felt ridiculously light.
As he was closest to Andrew, every single one of his steps kicked up heaps of dirt. He got to
Andrew’s barrier, Stabbing his swords into it with relative ease.
Andrew was barely keeping up. Even as the swords pierced his Barrier, He ejected from it, yet his chest ached. He had been stabbed with barely any time to react.
he’s definitely using spells to do all this.
Logan was walking towards him.
"I’ll give you five seconds to prepare. Scouts honor." He said waving one of his swords in the air.
If Andrew was certain of one thing, it was that this man was not doing well in the head. Maybe he liked it that way.
Andrew conjures blades of ice that surround him, before he sees more men trying to sneak up on him. One man tries to come behind him with a sword. Andrew responds by dodging the blade, turning around, grabbing his head and freezing it.
A few more had survived and were try to end his life but that was far from his main focus.
Logan who was bouncing on his tippy toes, was astounded by his kindness.
"I gave you seven whole seconds! The holy church would surely crown me a saint for such an act. But even I have my limits. Prepare to die but please make it entertaining."
The moment that was heard, Andrew press his hand to the floor. A ten foot wall of ice is hurled in his direction.
As Logan kicks off, He dashes to the side of it,
only to be bombarded by a bunch of tiny icicles, shooting at him like machine gun fire.
using both of his swords, he charged forth.
As his did, his armore did a lot of work, but it wasn’t invincible, he was fast but not that fast, he blocked most of the fire, but fire icicles were buried in his armor, blood pouring out of them.
Andrew wasn’t accustomed to him moving that fast, but now he was using ice walls to make distance.
It seemed his speed had only caught him by surprise. Yet, Logan was joyful, it seemed his life was actually on the line. As his heart began pumping faster, he pushed himself to his own limit.
"YOURE QUITE THE MAN STRANGER!"
Andrew sent another ice wall his way, yet in two quick slashes, he cut through it.
And as the wall crumbled, Andrew saw a silver glint in the distance before a sword came flying in his direction.
Erecting a wall of ice, He had just barely blocked the blade, stopping it just before it reached his chest.
Yet as he looked through the ice, He saw the look of a Crazed Logan, His mask off, revealing Blood leaking out of his mouth. A small smile, yet his eyes had deathly focus.
He grabbed the blade, Stabbing it through his chest as he forced it through the ice, Shattering it. He took his other blade, stabbing it through his stomach area.
Without much Thought, Andrew’s eyes glowed yellow as he was done holding back.
Using the blood that was on Logan’s mouth, he Turned that into a miniature knife, more akin to a sharp shard of glass that cut at his neck, causing him to slow down.
Briefly he released his blades, to get a proper look at his enemy. "Last minute magic?"
He was curious as to why Andrew was only able to use blood magic on the brink of death.
Andrew was using blood magic To Force the blades out of both parts of his body, controlling his blood in a more intricate manner than he thought possible.
He had to give it a shot otherwise he was dead. To think that was almost the end of him,
That his story was done in that quickly.
Was it weird that even in this dire moment, that he was calm? He had no thought on his mind that he would die, even now he felt as if this fight was already decided.
In his heart he had won already. As he forced the blades out, Logan stared in bewilderment.
"WOW! How did you do that? Is the secret in that mask you’re wearing?"
Logan was analyzing Andrew, Trying to find what was wrong with him. His mana was a bit weird now. Either way, if he could get him to Amanda, he had no doubt she’d find out.
And yet, as Andrew stood up, his mask cracked a bit. The blood from the people crushed in that failed stampede was being siphoned, surrounding his body.
His whole Body seemed to radiate this feeling of leasure. He seemed calm, relaxed.
As he focused his Gaza back on Logan, he stiffened up a bit.
Andrew didn’t want to eminate any demonic mana, To give off the hint that they could be demons. But given that he had almost died and the fact that demons in human skin ran this place, he didn’t see the issue anymore.
He took his mask off, as he wanted he man to see it. As courtesy one could guess, it would be the last one he ever saw.
