The Last Vampire God
Chapter 22: Bloodline [1]
"At least take a bit more blood from me before you go," Lia pleas with worry in her voice.
"It probably would be a good idea," I respond while setting the shelf down gently.
"Wait, so he really is a vampire?" Amelia chimes in with some shock in her voice.
I slightly glance over at her, noticing a scent radiating from her.
"FEED!"
"FEED!"
"FEED!"
"TAKE HER BLOOD!"
My hands grasp my head as I try to hold back the urges telling me to feed on Amelia. Something about her is drawing me in more than Lia does with the blood I’m being offered.
She doesn’t look scared in the slightest by the fact that I’m a vampire either. A small smile is actually on her face as if she was hoping I was.
"Amelia just stay out of the way till I give him some blood," Lia instructs while moving in front of me.
"I want to give him mine," Amelia responds calmly.
"What?! Why?" Lia questions with confusion in her voice.
I don’t understand why she’d do it either... But Lia didn’t know me and still doesn’t know much about me. Yet, she gives me blood whenever I need it.
Amelia doesn’t make sense in the slightest though since she originally had a problem with us being sent to protect her. What an odd situation.
I’m just losing myself here while this happens too.
"Just let me," Amelia says while pushing past Lia.
I find Amelia standing in front of me now, her neck now exposed to me... Calling for me to dig in. Like with Lia, I need to hold back no matter what so I don’t hurt her.
My teeth sink into her neck and the blood begins to flood my fangs. This time around I feel a completely different sensation from what Lia gave me.
Stumble!!!
I fall back a few steps after releasing my fangs from her neck. My vision is starting to go red, changing how I see the room itself, and a strange surge of what I believe to be power goes through my body.
"Go. I’ll be fine," I assure them with a low voice.
Both of them just look at me with a worrisome expression on their faces.
Regardless I turn away from them and open up the door to the sight of the hunter in the center of the chapel. Just standing there with a sword in one hand, a pistol in the other. 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶
Slam!
I close the door behind me and grip my sword tightly as my eyes lock with the hunters.
"I knew a vampire was hiding around here somewhere haha," He says with a chuckle.
Wearing a nice trench coat with silver plates underneath that just barely show themselves, boots, and short white hair that just barely reaches his shoulders.
He definitely has the hunter look spot on if he wants to stick out to anyone and everyone. It won’t matter how he dresses when he dies though.
I’ll make sure to kill him slowly since they deserve to suffer for everything they did to us. Hunters all will die.
My vision is still dark red, making it hard to notice anything else in the room as I walk towards him. He is already lifting up his pistol to fire now too.
"Not much of a talker? That’s fine. I’ll kill you quickly then," The Hunter says with more of a serious expression on his face.
Within seconds I push off the ground towards him, listening to the sound of it breaking behind my feet. Even if I can’t see everything around me, I can see the person who is going to die in front of me.
BANG!!!
His pistol goes off as I reach him, piercing through my shoulder but it doesn’t stop me from swinging my sword. I bring it down towards him with as much speed as I can muster.
CLANG!!!!!!
The hunter blocks it without any issues, all while keeping that stupid smile on his face as we fight. Wasn’t he just giving me a serious look moments ago before I rushed him?!
DRIP! DRIP!
My blood begins to hit the floor as I push my blade against his; He begins to move slowly as the ground starts to break slightly underneath him.
"Did you forget I still have this," He says before it happens.
BANG!!!!
Another shot goes off, this time it pierces my lower abdomen and it forces me to fall back a few feet.
"Do you want to die so badly?"
"A hunter stands before you and you let him get easy shot."
"Why can’t you do anything?"
Again the voices won’t leave me alone... Not even when I’m against the very beings I despise most. I can’t let all of this get to me or I really will die here.
Amelia gave me some blood and Lia gave some earlier; This should be plenty to give me enough of an edge over this hunter. I just need to focus... No more bullets can go through me here today.
I look down towards my wounds for a moment and realize that I am no longer bleeding on the floor either. Something covered the wounds, something that I can’t really see right now.
GRIP!!
DASH!!!!
I rush back towards him after realizing that my bleeding is stopped.
BANG!!!
He fires another shot but this time I manage to dodge it before reaching him once again. I take advantage of this and swing my sword down towards him once again.
Expecting him to block this attack, I quickly shift the direction to cut him from the side.
SLASH!!!!!
I just manage to cut across his stomach with this attack before he takes a couple steps back away from me. It only did some damage to his armor but that’s enough to show that I can get attacks in too.
I’ll put more into my next few attacks so that I can end this quickly. I’d rather not see any special tricks that he may have up his sleeve.
