The last Vampire with the Hero summoner system: I get 5x their powers - Chapter 87: Quest: Locate Potion Materials [3]
We moved forward. I guess no one is sane in our group. The only sane one vanished.
Of course I only let them move when I ate the Sabercry’s heart. All Sabercrys that were killed, I ate their hearts.
[Signature Skill gained: Numb]
[Description: User’s saliva can paralyze anything and anyone on slightest contact absolutely. Can chose if not to numb as well.]
Last description was important as I really liked to eat Alya’s ass. I wouldn’t want her to stop pushing my head deeper. But you bet I’d be licking my fist before every punch.
XP gain was beautiful as well:
[+1000 XP]
[Level 3 1480 / 2400 XP—> 2480/2400 —>Level 4 80/4800]
[+20 All stats]
Feeling of power increasing was always nice and welcomed.
Even with my gains, we didn’t want to pick unnecessary fights. We had a goal and stakes were high. But, I made up my mind to come hunting here some time later definitely.
We sprinted towards the eastern plains at our maximum possible speed.
Subaru could also easily keep up after using three buff spells, [Aura of Haste], [Feather Light], [Rapid Recovery] and two potions of Arcana recovery.
First buff made his speed triple. Alya was surprised as it usually increased speed by 20%. But, apparently spells capability increased by the user’s skill. Still, 20 to 300% was a ridiculous jump.
Second, and third buff spell, made him lighter and recover stamina faster, respectively.
Most D-class failed to catch up with the three of us. But the ones like, Great Serpent, Millage Hawk, War rabbits, that did, were defeated with flawless teamwork and elegance.
When the hundred feet serpent appeared, Alya grabbed it’s tail, I it’s mouth, which was kind of dangerous as it had a signature skill called [Blood poison].
If you were to be bit by it, this skill would cause every drop of your blood to chemically change into the most violent possible poison specific to kill your body most efficiently. So, it was a rare creature, capable of killing me.
But, the poor thing spent all it’s stats on attack and speed apparently. It’s jaw wasn’t strong enough to overpower me.
Subaru used a spell called, [Butcher] on the whining beast. It didn’t take a genius to figure out what [Butcher] with a really sharp sword did to a hunk of flesh.
Milage hawk was troublesome as it instantly flew back thousands of feet with it’s skill [Flight] that worked similar to dash but it made the wind around it turn upside down and help it get high quickly.
Or any other direction on that matter. It could dodge any ranged attacks we threw.
It flew back after every closed ranged attack and could also send gusts of winds by flapping it’s wings, strong enough to shatter bones.
After tanking a few hits, and understanding it’s patterns, Subaru managed to land an arrow, and that was enough opening for me to pump it’s massive wings with elemental cannon’s blasts. Subaru’s arrows also came with the blasts.
It eventually crashed and Alya’s dagger on the throat was the finishing blow. She really liked slitting throats, I guess.
So hot.
War rabbits were annoying. They were about the size of an average rabbit back home, but god, there speed. They moved in a blur. And, they small fangs worked like a chainsaw.
Even with [Eye of Sanguine] I wasn’t able to keep all fifty of them in check.
One of them got my foot, it was painful. The instant it’s jaw made contact with my foot, I threw my dagger, but that single moment was enough for it to eat every part of my right foot as it died.
It was better than the poor Subaru who almost died. But before that could happen, I sent him a few hundred meters high in the air, on my sword, using [God’s Hand].
He can’t grow back limbs afterall. Mine was back like immediately at the cost of 2 vitality points.
Both Alya and me pulled out two-two daggers and killed every last one of them one by one. Alya lost an ear. I lost my hand, but that alone would’ve been okay if not for a fucker biting of my upper lip with part of skin below nose.
I cried a little, but not to worry. I stomped on the bastard’s lifeless body till it was meat paste.
But after ten minutes, it was over. Dead bodies of the terrifying demons shifted to cute bunnies lying all around us, a pool of blood forming around us, high enough to reach our ankles.
Ultimately, I gained two new skills. [Blood Poison]. [Flight].
[Flight] used with [dash] was gonna be really overpowered and of course, I could fly better on the sword.
[Blood Poison] was difficult to get as the heart of the Great Serpent was what produced that toxin and it remained active even at death. In simple words, eating the heart meant I’d be taking hit from [Blood Poison].
At least that’s what Alya and Subaru theorized. I believed it and agreed until I saw the level up [Primordial Assimilation] went through.
[Digesting abilities through Primordial Assimilation will make the user immune to all effects from that ability.]
So basically, I could eat the heart, get immunity, survive as my high vitality easily survives the time it would take me to eat and swallow. That was what digesting was apparently.
But, this was a good improvement even pushing aside the OP ability my blood gained. [Blood Poison] now worked through my blood, inject my blood in someone? Certain death.
Of course I could choose not to do that otherwise I wouldn’t have eaten it, I won’t want my wifey to not suck my blood. That shit felt even better than sex with her somehow.
Anyways, I was immune to all Great Serpents I will meet in future. The ones who had this broken ability. How awesome even was that?!
Tanking the ability anyone would die immediately to, completely.
The war rabbit had no such skill and I wasn’t about to waste time eating hearts of all fifty of them. After eating one, I knew the XP they was just not worth the risk of letting other Onis track us.
But, even without that, XP gain from the other two beasts was bountiful. And, we had also reached our destination.
