Chapter 904: Peculiarities.

"I’m greatly interested in the runic magic you taught to your family. While I won’t ask about the origins, are you willing to share it with the association?"

Harrison inquired, leaning back into his seat. Sabrina’s mood instantly changed, and a spark appeared in her eyes. Harrison noticed it and revealed an awry smile.

She clasped her hands together and brought them towards her chin, angling it, as she offered.

"If you’re interested, you can purchase the manuals from the family. The basic manual of runic magic is ten million studs!"

"Done."

Harrison agreed immediately.

’Fuck. I should have changed the ten to a hundred...’

She cursed inwardly, hoping to have asked for more. Harrison had agreed to it quickly. Sabrina was aware that a new form of ’magic’ would be valuable, but if she was being honest, she didn’t value runic magic too highly. The basic runes were hardly valuable, and there were a lot of restrictions on Runic Magic.

The runes on her own body were worth a lot, but Runic magic as a whole was an old, ancient system. It was powerful indeed, but to tap into that power required immense amounts of effort and absolutely no chance of failure. Furthermore, creating a permanent, powerful rune was expensive.

Even the runes made with Alan’s blood didn’t last long... granted, they had been exhausted by the sheer might of Kizmal... but still, her point still stood.

Well, what was done was done; it was up to Harrison to decide whether he wanted intermediate or advanced runes once he understood the basics. If he still wanted it, Sabrina would willingly sell it.

She had only written manuals for the family up to the intermediate level, but she wasn’t opposed to writing another one. She could even get Alpha to write it for her. However, Superior and Ancient runes were something she wasn’t going to sell.

Part of the reason was that even she didn’t dare delve into Ancient Runes, and Superior runes were far too valuable. Azmakul engraved the Ancient runes on her body, and she didn’t think she could actually use them until she got stronger. Sabrina barely comprehended powerful Superior runes; Ancient runes were far, far above her level.

"If you wish, you can turn the rest of the elders of the Wellington family and other associates. I don’t particularly mind, but you must ensure they don’t go overboard. They must keep their urges to a minimum, and if they disturb public safety or do anything out of the ordinary, I will make an example of them.

If this ’Absolute Loyalty’ you speak of is a certainty, then I don’t think I’d have to do something to stop them. Furthermore, once you have confirmed that you can keep them under control, I will give you death-row inmates and other heinous criminals to turn; they could prove to be useful."

"I beg your pardon?"

She reeled in shock. Why did Harrison want so many vampires?

"We have to do anything to increase our forces."

"But they are demons."

"It doesn’t matter; they don’t belong to the abyssal layer 555, and neither do they harbor malicious intent, as long as you don’t. They will be useful as meat shields and the rest.

I don’t mind you increasing your forces, as long as you ensure you can control them."

"..."

She was left speechless. A part of her didn’t want to do it, but a certain part of her craved an army at her disposal, a new house of vampires... A certain part of her wanted the revival of House Almada.

Whether it was Sabrina herself or somebody else influencing her, she didn’t know. She didn’t agree to something like this, however, having enough control of herself.

She wasn’t in a hurry to turn everybody into a vampire, not until she truly figured out ’Almada’. She was someone who could control herself. House Wellington would gradually be filled with vampires, but not someone outside the house.

Not until she controlled this aspect of herself more. Sabrina was now a Demon, and she needed to be wary of many things. The Demonic Nature is not something to be trifled with.

Her Dark affinity was enough to amplify her emotions; she didn’t need her demonic powers to overflow her mind as well...

Harrison didn’t press further, as if aware of the internal turmoil of the girl. He even seemed to nod in approval. He set the matter aside and stood up.

He walked towards the windows of his office and turned his back to Sabrina. She stared at him silently, wondering what he was going to do now.

"You were the one who figured out the Spatial coordinates of Gigantium, weren’t you?"

’Why this?’

She thought to herself, wondering why Harrison brought this up. It was already well known in the upper echelons that Sabrina figured out the coordinates to Gigantium. Harrison should know it as well, so why ask the obvious?

She affirmed.

"Yes, it was me."

"Have you tried it again? How likely is it that another planet can be found?"

"Nonexistent. I was extremely lucky with Gigantium. Even if another planet is found, the chance that it is even remotely similar to Gigantium is negligible. It could take tens of years... even an entire century."

When Sabrina had first figured out the spatial coordinates to Gigantium, she was elated and truly believed that she possessed a magnificent brain. However, after a lengthy conversation with Azmakul, the truth was made blatantly obvious.

She had just been lucky. She had only learned how to decipher Spatial coordinates, and using the knowledge engraved in the crystal orb she obtained from Alan... she was simply playing a game of Battleship. Her calculations were quite literally nonsense; she derived from human math. It was quite literally doing nothing... much to her disappointment. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

In reality, she had quite literally been lucky. It was pure luck that she found Gigantium. Spatial coordinates are an extremely advanced field, and not much of it has been explored, simply because there’s too much.

Consider the universe as an infinite grid; each individual box within this infinite grid is but a meter, and corresponds to a special, unique spatial coordinate. Now, imagine this infinite grid is in front of you, like a game of Battleship.

You are on one side, on a timer with your mana reserves, and on the other side is the universe, the infinitely expanding universe. Now, in this infinite grid, you must locate what the equivalent of a speck of dust is. You must consume a large amount of mana just to examine the slot you singled out, and the chance you actually stumble on a planet is quite literally almost nonexistent.

Each Planet has a mana signature, but this signature is almost identical to the signature of the universe. Only a natural inhabitant of the planet that stood at the peak of it would be able to barely figure out the difference. Furthermore, the Universe is also filled with an abundant amount of mana, one that acts as a near-impenetrable fog. Just to get past it to actually see the spatial coordinates is a monumental act.

This is why most Spatial Sorcerers instead opt to search for stars. Stars possess a mana signature that is slightly easier to decode than planets. Once they find a suitable star, which can take years and years, they calculate the size of the star, and then determine a ’life zone’, from where the heat is enough to actually give birth to life.

And then, it’s a game of Battleship once again. You can try to narrow the ’infinite’ grid as much as you want, but no matter how much you do, it is still an enormous size. It’s a game that is heavily, heavily unfavorable to you.

Sabrina had been lucky, and that was it. When she heard about it, she thought she had used her entire life’s luck on that.

She explained to Harrison, and he offered a nod. But there was still a smile apparent on his face, even when he was made aware that Humanity chancing upon another planet was almost impossible.

Sabrina was scared for a moment, afraid that Harrison actually wanted to brute force through it. But his smile was for a different reason.

"So, you can decipher the spatial coordinates of the place you’re standing on, or if it is within your sights, am I right?"

"Yes...?"

Compared to the monumental task of finding a suitable planet, this was fairly simple. Deciphering the spatial coordinates of the point you were standing on was easy, and one within your sight was easy as well.

They couldn’t even be compared to the former, but why was Harrison asking this?

Harrison turned around and faced Sabrina. He had a strange look of expectation in his eyes. He didn’t speak for a moment, as Sabrina’s unease grew.

"Sabrina Wellington, do you wish to save your father?"

He inquired, and Sabrina’s eyes widened with shock.

"What?"

She muttered, unable to control herself.

"What do you mean save? What has my Father gotten himself into?"

Harrison’s smile widened.
