Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!
Chapter 1084: She’s a Bit Willful, Spoiled by Me
Worthy of being this country’s leader, the aura and pressure he carried were something ordinary people could never compare to.
"Miss Shaw has been on the plane for so long, you must be tired. I’ve already arranged a room for you in the Presidential Residence, you can rest as soon as we get back," Adrian Cooper said slowly.
He lifted his eyes and glanced at Ava Thompson, whose eyes were shining as she stared at Aurelia Shaw. His brows furrowed slightly, and his tone was as stern as an elder scolding a disobedient child. "Just now Maverick Spencer and the others said you were charging around recklessly and running off on your own again."
"Adrian, I was wrong." Ava lowered her head; she was most afraid of Adrian Cooper scolding her.
Adrian Cooper beckoned to her. "Come here, sit over on this side."
Ava shot Aurelia a pleading, reluctant look, then spoke in a negotiating tone, "Adrian, I want to..."
"Aurelia just got off the plane, she’s exhausted. Ava, stop fooling around!" Adrian Cooper said harshly.
Ava thought to herself that Adrian was right, too.
Aurelia smiled and said, "I’m fine."
Adrian Cooper said, "She’s a bit spoiled and willful, I’ve indulged her too much. Ava, come over here." He patted the empty seat beside him.
Aurelia’s mouth twitched. In her heart she thought, the spot you’re sitting in is, at best, one-and-a-half seats wide. One person can sit comfortably, but two people will definitely end up squished together.
Even though she’d already expected this over the phone earlier, seeing it with her own eyes was another matter.
She hadn’t expected the President of their country to be such a wife-doting maniac, even getting jealous over a woman.
And also... why did this lovey-dovey public display feel so familiar?
Seemed like when she went to M Nation, she’d been force-fed PDA by Foster Fuller and Sister Man in exactly the same way.
These men, why do they all treat her like a "love rival"?
Aurelia sighed in her heart.
As the saying goes, a woman who doesn’t take revenge isn’t a proper woman. When Mason Nightshade comes back, she’ll show off right in front of each of them, one by one.
The car had already stopped at the Presidential Residence. As soon as Aurelia got out, a servant led her to her room. Ava still wanted to follow, but Adrian Cooper grabbed her by the collar and dragged her back to their room.
"Miss Shaw, if you need anything, just tell us." The servant’s attitude toward Aurelia was exceptionally respectful. Although they didn’t know this lady’s identity, the President had given special instructions to take good care of her.
They guessed that this lady’s identity definitely wasn’t simple.
Once there was only Aurelia left in the room, she took out her phone and pulled up Mason Nightshade’s number.
Mason had once said that no matter when, she could text him, and he would definitely see it.
She missed him. Missed him terribly. She wanted to see him, wanted to know how he was doing now, whether he was hurt.
Even though she knew perfectly well that ordinary people absolutely couldn’t hurt Mason, Aurelia still worried about him. Her heart had been pounding all day long, as if something had happened.
She stared at the phone screen, paused for a moment, then typed four words: "I miss you."
Aurelia closed her eyes. She didn’t dare disturb him. Even though he’d once said she could contact him anytime, anywhere, text him whenever she wanted, when he was on a mission, even the smallest action could put him in danger.
She knew this perfectly well, but she still couldn’t control herself.
She missed him. She wanted him to know how much she missed him.
Aurelia waited for over half an hour, but there was still no reply on her phone.
She figured Mason was probably busy and hadn’t seen it, and besides, when he was on a mission, his phone couldn’t possibly be turned on all the time.
