The sunlight on the open balcony was just right. A woman sat on a white chair, seaweed-like long hair flowing behind her, her long and thick eyelashes drooping, her skin as white as porcelain, her lips a rich crimson. Her eyes had a slightly pale hue. When she looked at people, there was a distant and cool demeanor, but inexplicably it did not provoke dislike because her eyes always held a smile when she looked at anyone.

Aurelia curled up in the chair, the sun slightly glaring, her peach blossom eyes half-closed, delicate brows gently furrowed.

She had stayed here for several days, yet Mason Nightshade hadn’t replied to her messages during these days.

She knew that phones could be turned off during missions, but for nearly a week to go missing like this was definitely not normal.

She had a vague feeling that Adrian Cooper was hiding something from her and wanted to keep her here, not wanting her to leave.

"Aurelia." An old voice suddenly sounded behind her.

Aurelia turned around, surprised and stupefied.

Kai Nightshade smiled, "What’s wrong? Are you so excited to see this old man that you can’t even speak? Or do you not recognize me as your grandfather anymore?"

"Grandfather, what are you talking about! I just didn’t expect you to come here." Aurelia hurriedly stood up; she hadn’t expected that Little Cooper would even invite her grandfather here.

Suddenly, Aurelia’s expression froze, a swift shadow flashed across her eyes, too fast for anyone to notice.

Kai Nightshade huffed, still so proud, he said, "I am at least a leader, even retired I am a former leader. When I was building our nation, Adrian Cooper hadn’t even been born yet! What’s wrong with me coming here? Do you think he can stop me?"

Aurelia smiled, her smile radiant, "Grandfather, only you would dare to say something like that."

Kai Nightshade huffed proudly again, his eyes filled with wistfulness as he looked at Aurelia, "How long will you stay this time?"

"I’ll go back after I see Mason." Aurelia replied.

Kai Nightshade’s expression was indifferent, "Do you have to stay in Country Z? That Mason kid may not like to talk to me about your relationship, but under my pressing, he admitted that he’s serious about you. Aurelia, listen to your grandfather, come back home. If Mason dares to bully you again, I’ll stand up for you."

Aurelia chuckled lightly.

Kai looked at her, puzzled.

Aurelia said, "Before going back, there are a lot of things to sort out in Country Z. I can’t just leave everything behind, right?"

Aurelia’s lips curled as she teased, "Grandfather, who taught me to see things through to the end and never give up mid-way, to have a sense of responsibility? And now you’re teaching me to run away?"

Kai paused for a moment before realizing he’d been outmaneuvered, turning his head away in a huff, refusing to pay attention to Aurelia.

Aurelia coaxed him for a long time before Kai forgave her.

After seeing Kai off in the evening, Aurelia’s eyes instantly turned cold.

Adrian Cooper was deliberately trying to trap her!

"Miss Aurelia, what would you like for dinner?" a servant came over to ask.

Aurelia asked calmly, "Does Ava and His Excellency the President have time tonight?"

"Well..." the servant hesitated, "I’m not really sure about that."

Aurelia squinted her eyes uncertainly, then smiled and said, "I asked Ava yesterday, and she said she has time tonight. I plan to invite her for dinner. You know her preferences better than I do, so you decide the dinner. As for His Excellency..."
