Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!
Chapter 1087: As Long as I Can Be by His Side, Even in the Face of Danger
Mason Nightshade...
Aurelia leaned against the wall, her face pale, lost in thought for a long time. It wasn’t until she heard footsteps coming from inside the room that she snapped out of it and slipped up to the third floor.
Ava Thompson was delighted to see Aurelia and threw herself into her arms.
She wasn’t as tall as Aurelia, and throwing herself into her embrace felt a bit like a little P in a yuri drama.
No wonder Adrian Cooper got jealous.
When your woman has such strong chemistry with another woman, and that woman is just as beautiful as you are, it’s natural for any man to feel jealous and want his woman to stay away from such a dangerous person.
It must be said that Aurelia’s charm was uniquely appealing to both men and women.
Aurelia’s lips curved slightly.
There was something relaxing about Ava Thompson’s presence.
Even though her mood was heavy, heavy to the point where she didn’t want to say a word, she couldn’t bring herself to show a rejecting expression in front of her.
"Aurelia, are you unhappy?" Ava Thompson looked up at her.
In truth, she couldn’t quite see Aurelia’s face, only her thin pointed chin. Yet, she felt an inexplicable sense of unhappiness coming from Aurelia.
"Mm." Aurelia ruffled her hair, her crimson lips curled into a slight smile, "Someone very important to me is in danger, I just received the news."
Ava Thompson’s mouth opened wide, "Why are they in danger? Do you intend to go find him now?"
Soon after, Ava Thompson dismissed her own suggestion.
"No, no, if he’s in danger, it means the place he’s in is dangerous. You can’t go, it’d be dangerous for you."
"But if the most important person to you is in danger, would you go save him?" Aurelia asked softly.
In Ava Thompson’s mind appeared the image of Adrian Cooper. She thought of the time he was attacked and injured, and she nodded vigorously: "I would rather be hurt myself than let Adrian get hurt!"
Aurelia laughed aloud, teasing, "It seems the President is the most important person to you."
Ava Thompson bashfully buried her head into Aurelia’s chest, muffling her words: "I, I like Adrian."
"But someone very important to me has been hurt, someone I would risk my life for. I have to find him, even if it means facing danger with him, as long as I can be by his side." Aurelia sighed softly.
Ava Thompson looked up at her, "Is it Mason?"
Aurelia smiled at Ava Thompson but didn’t answer. She was too pure, pure like a blank canvas, untouched by the harshness of this world. Such a person didn’t need to experience emotions as complex as what she felt.
"Ava, can you help me with something?" Aurelia asked.
"Huh? What do you need help with?" Ava Thompson looked at her with puzzled eyes.
...
Aurelia returned to the villa, and the servants approached her as she came in, "Miss Aurelia, the meal is ready..."
Looking around, she asked, "Didn’t the President and the First Lady come back with you?"
"They’re busy with something and can’t make it, I have no appetite today. Share the meal with the other servants, don’t let it go to waste." After giving these instructions, Aurelia went upstairs back to her room.
The servants watched her silhouette ascend the stairs, feeling inexplicably puzzled.
Aurelia lay on the sofa, staring at the ceiling.
She didn’t turn on the light, and the room was engulfed in darkness.
Her slender fingers clutched the phone; the only light came from the screen as Aurelia stared at the message she sent which had received no reply.
