Top Actress Beware: Also Reborn Is Your CEO Husband!
Chapter 1088: Should Have Known She Couldn’t Be Confined
Mason Nightshade, wait for me, wait for me... I’ll bring you back.
At dawn the next day, troops began to gather at the main building. Adrian Cooper’s face was grim and his gaze deep. His brows knitted into a knot as he watched the soldiers getting into the vehicles without saying a word.
Rocco Cooper approached, his expression similarly unpleasant, "Mr. President, we’re setting off."
Adrian Cooper nodded.
After a moment of silence, Adrian Cooper said, "Bring him back, you must bring him back to me."
"Yes!" Rocco Cooper saluted, his eyes slightly reddened.
Military vehicles drove out of the presidential residence one by one.
Adrian Cooper saw the servant responsible for attending to Aurelia pacing anxiously. His brows furrowed.
"Aren’t you supposed to be in the side building at this time? Why are you here?" Adrian Cooper walked over to ask.
The servant’s face turned pale with fright, her head lowered, not daring to look at Adrian Cooper, "Mr. President."
"What happened?" Adrian Cooper’s voice was heavy.
The servant hesitated for a moment, then stammered, "I-I got up this morning to wake Miss Shaw, but I didn’t see her in the room. I’ve searched everywhere but couldn’t find her."
"Mr. President, it’s all my fault. I didn’t fulfill the task you entrusted to me," the servant cried.
She ran away!
Adrian Cooper’s face darkened.
Suddenly, something flashed in Adrian Cooper’s mind.
He looked at the military vehicles that had already driven far and were out of sight.
He should have foreseen this. With her intelligence, she was bound to escape. But when did she find out?
"Brother Adrian, did Aurelia leave?" Ava Thompson came out rubbing her eyes.
She had overheard the conversation between Adrian Cooper and the servant.
Adrian Cooper looked at her, "Do you know something?" This girl, could she also be hiding something, helping that woman to escape?
Ava Thompson rubbed her eyes and said, "Aurelia said yesterday that someone very important to her is in danger. She wants to find that person, preferring to face the danger together rather than stay here alone, letting him face the danger by himself."
"Brother Adrian, is Mason Nightshade in danger?"
Adrian Cooper gently rubbed Ava Thompson’s head, his gaze soft and doting, "Don’t overthink it. You’re dressed so lightly. Get back inside quickly, or you’ll catch a cold and start crying again, refusing to take medicine."
Ava Thompson stuck out her tongue and obediently went inside.
...
Rocco Cooper’s brows furrowed as he gazed intently at the vehicle ahead.
A soldier next to him asked, "Sergeant Rocco, is there something wrong with the vehicle ahead? You’ve been watching it almost the entire way."
Rocco Cooper’s brows knitted tighter. He suddenly slapped his thigh, "I should have thought of this sooner! Damn it! Stop! Have everyone stop immediately!"
What’s happening?
The soldier, frightened, immediately blew the whistle to notify everyone to stop.
Rocco Cooper opened the car door and stepped out heavily, his face stern as he walked toward the front vehicle.
The soldiers, seeing the sergeant suddenly walking over, were startled, standing at attention, not daring to say a word.
Rocco Cooper climbed onto the vehicle and walked directly to a lean but sharp-looking soldier.
Rocco Cooper was silent for a moment, then suddenly saluted.
The soldiers around were dumbfounded at the sight.
What happened to the sergeant?
Could he be so worried about the Major General that he lost his mind?
Why would he salute an ordinary soldier, who is neither the Major General nor the President?
Rocco Cooper: "Sister-in-law."
