Transmigrated as the Villain: I Will Destroy Fate - Chapter 25: The MC [1]
Ronan walked into class as normal, sitting in his usual seat in the corner of class.
There wasn’t a fiber in his body that was looking forward to class. Vera was a villain, he knew that much, but did he have to be such a terribly boring teacher?
As usual Kazuma came and sat beside him, but Ronan didn’t pay him any mind.
He wasn’t sure why Kazuma was sitting next to him, nor why he had an interest in Ronan at all, but if he wasn’t bothering him, it didn’t matter.
Vera stepped into the class after a few minutes and stepped to the front of the podium.
"Congrats on surviving your first week here at Luminara Academy."
That’s right, a whole week had already passed.
The days were boring, and there wasn’t much going on. Extracurriculars weren’t unlocked for the students yet, and combat lessons hadn’t started, making it simply bookwork and some mana control training.
Ronan leaned against his hand as he mindlessly listened to the words Vera spoke.
From his peripheral vision, he could see a certain girl he hadn’t spoken to in a few days.
Elara Lockhart.
She didn’t seem like she was paying attention either, just staring at the wall to her left.
Freya hadn’t approached Ronan since the day she confronted him. It was obvious that she went through with her claim and went to talk to her sister.
Ronan caught Elara giving him a brief glimpse and their eyes met for a second before she instantly turned away.
With a shrug, Ronan turned away.
She obviously wanted to talk to him, but Ronan wouldn’t approach her. He needed her to come approach him, and he was sure she would.
Besides, there was something a lot more interesting that would happen today.
Luca Underwood.
The main character would be arriving at the academy today, and he would cause quite the scene if Ronan remembered correctly.
A smile crept on his usually expressionless face.
He was looking forward to it.
Class went as usual, with Vera teaching the basics of the world, expanding the magic system slowly, and teaching basic concepts. Ronan halfheartedly paid attention as she did, making sure to keep in mind any information that would come in handy.
When the class finally ended, Ronan took a sigh of relief. What a boring class.
Students immediately picked up their bags and started funneling towards the exit, seemingly sharing Ronan’s frustration with the pace of the lesson.
After Kazuma left, Ronan also picked up his bag and started walking towards the exit.
But he was stopped by a female voice.
"Wait."
Ronan stopped and turned around, cocking one eyebrow and the girl who stopped him. She had pale white hair and a frustrated expression on her pretty face.
"What do you want?" He asked.
Elara held back a glare at his tone and continued.
"I... want to apologize."
Ronan smiled. "For being a dickhead when I was trying to help you?"
"No–!" She stammered. "Well, that too a little bit, but that’s not what I’m saying sorry for."
"Then for your sister?"
"I–" she paused. "Yes."
"Don’t be. She was just looking out for you, and it didn’t actually cause me many problems."
"But she called you a bully in front of hundreds of people!" Her voice was loud enough to where it conveyed a point, but soft enough so no one else could hear it. "That could have ruined your reputation."
"My reputation? You’re from the Lockhart family, branch family or not. You know of the state of my reputation," Ronan said. Elara opened her mouth to say something, but Ronan cut her off. "Besdies, she was just looking out for you."
Elara didn’t look happy about both of those things.
"Still, that was wrong of her. I cleared it up in front of everyone, and it shouldn’t be a problem for you anymore."
"You’re surprisingly caring for how you act."
Elara glared. "I just don’t like causing problems for others, which is a far cry from you."
"There you go, that’s more like you," Ronan said which caused Elara’s glare to deepen. "And it’s not like I only cause problems for others. I helped you out with your mana control. It’s only been a week and you’ve improved."
Elara scowled at him, but she didn’t refute what he said.
It looked like she was still too prideful to admit that his advice had helped.
Ronan got up from the chair and slung his bag over his shoulder.
"Well, forget that. We should get out of here, there’s something interesting that’s about to happen."
The scowl finally left Elara’s face and it was replaced by confusion.
"Something... interesting?"
"Yep," Ronan replied, heading for the exit. "I think you’ll find it interesting at least."
Ronan left the room, leaving Elara behind.
It didn’t take long for him to hear her footsteps behind him as she caught up.
"Wait," she said, finally catching up. "What do you mean interesting? And why are you walking towards the Elite Class."
Ronan didn’t reply as he simply kept walking. After around 2 minutes of walking, they saw a crowd of students in a circle, clearly watching something go down.
"What is that...?" Elara asked, but before Ronan could answer a yell rang out.
"What did you say?!" A young man’s voice yelled from inside the circle of gathered students.
Ronan kept walking closer until he finally saw the scene unfolding in front of the Elite Class.
The man who shouted was a noble student with his blonde hair slicked back and snake-like eyes. Typical noble look.
He had two students behind him, big, burly, and they looked like they could crush you under their heels if they wanted.
And they were all staring down at one guy.
He had pale blue hair, and his face was extremely handsome. Chisled jawline, perfect skin, deep blue eyes. He was around Ronan’s height and he had a cocky smirk on his face as he stared down the three nobles of the Elite class.
He heard Elara say something, but he paid her no mind as he continued looking at the blue haired man.
There he was.
Luca Underwood.
The main character of this world.
