However, Gao Dongzhan was a master in his own right. Seeing Lin Kuang’s knee strike—an attack powerful enough to severely injure him—he dug his feet into the ground and came to an abrupt halt. Immediately after, his left palm shot out, grabbing at Lin Kuang’s knee. Gao Dongzhan’s hand was harder than an iron pincer; if he got a hold of the knee, it would be crippled on the spot. Lin Kuang was well aware of this and had no intention of letting that happen.

In an instant, Lin Kuang retracted his leg. Then, applying more pressure with the hand still gripping his opponent, he forced the newly-steadied Gao Dongzhan to lurch forward again. Seizing the opening, Lin Kuang launched a vicious punch toward Gao Dongzhan’s throat. Though it takes time to describe, this all happened in a flash. The fist, carrying terrifying power, arrived in an instant.

Gao Dongzhan’s expression changed again; he hadn’t expected Lin Kuang to react so quickly. But he wasn’t sloppy. His palm shot out once more, intercepting Lin Kuang’s fist.

THUD!

A dull impact echoed as Gao Dongzhan was knocked backward. However, Lin Kuang still had a firm grip on his wrist, giving him no chance to retreat. In the next instant, Lin Kuang kicked out again, aiming viciously for his groin. A man’s groin is a fatal weak point. If the kick landed, Gao Dongzhan would be dead or, at the very least, severely wounded.

Gao Dongzhan’s body twisted sharply, allowing him to evade the kick. Immediately, his other hand shot out, fingers as stiff as steel rods, stabbing toward Lin Kuang’s throat as if he intended to pierce it right through.

Of course, Lin Kuang wouldn’t give Gao Dongzhan the chance to kill him. With a slight tilt of his head, he evaded the strike. At the same time, Lin Kuang’s free hand chopped down like lightning, landing viciously on Gao Dongzhan’s wrist.

CRACK!

Gao Dongzhan’s wrist shattered instantly, rendering his hand useless. Feeling the searing pain, Gao Dongzhan couldn’t help but let out a wretched scream. The moment he cried out, the strength in his body dissipated. Lin Kuang seized the opportunity. The hand that was still gripping Gao Dongzhan’s other wrist suddenly squeezed with immense force.

CRACK!

His second wrist was brutally crushed, a testament to the terrifying power in Lin Kuang’s grip. In a flash, both of Gao Dongzhan’s wrists were completely destroyed.

As the saying goes, the pain from one’s ten fingers travels straight to the heart. Even though it was his wrists, the agony was no less severe.

"Damn it! Damn you! I’ll kill you! Aaaargh!" Gao Dongzhan roared, his useless hands dangling limply. His eyes burned with murderous fury, and his face alternated between pale and flushed, a clear sign of his extreme pain.

Screaming, Gao Dongzhan charged forward again, aiming a kick at Lin Kuang’s abdomen. Lin Kuang merely gave a cold sneer. In the next moment, his body flickered, and he easily evaded the kick. Simultaneously, his own fist shot out, smashing hard into Gao Dongzhan’s stomach.

THUD!

Gao Dongzhan was sent flying out of the private room. A stream of blood sprayed from his mouth as he soared through the air before slamming hard onto the floor outside.

THUD!

With another dull impact, he landed flat on his back. Blood trickled continuously from the corner of his mouth. Whether he was dead or alive, no one could tell.

The two men who had come with Gao Dongzhan were dumbfounded, staring blankly at Lin Kuang. In their eyes, Gao Dongzhan was the strongest; his formidable power was something they had once worshipped. Yet today, they had witnessed with their own eyes as Lin Kuang easily incapacitated him, leaving his fate unknown. The sight was utterly shocking.

"Still want to hang around and watch?" Lin Kuang said to the two henchmen with a chuckle. "If you keep staring, he’ll definitely die. Take him away now, and maybe he’ll have a sliver of a chance to live."

"Ah... um... yes, right," the two men stammered, completely at a loss for words. They quickly lifted the unconscious Gao Dongzhan and carried him away. As for the bloodstains on the floor, someone would naturally clean them up.

Watching Gao Dongzhan being carried away, the smile on Lin Kuang’s face broadened. I’ve crippled him. Both his hands are useless and his meridians are severed. He’ll live, but he’ll be nothing more than a cripple, capable of only the most basic self-care for the rest of his life. Besides, this is Yanjing. Killing him in front of so many people would just blow things out of proportion. There’s a big difference between severe injury and death. At least this way, he’s still alive.

With that thought, Lin Kuang returned to his seat. "Come on, everyone!" he said with a hearty laugh. "Let’s keep eating, drinking, and chatting."

Xu Yingying and the others seemed fine, but the two actresses who had been invited were pale with fright, their movements stiff and unnatural. After all, they had never witnessed such a scene outside of a movie set. The reality of it was so terrifying they didn’t even know how to move. The rest of the group paid them no mind, simply continuing to eat and chat as if nothing had happened.

"Cough, cough. Brother Kuang, I haven’t seen you in over a year. How has your strength just exploded like this? It’s skyrocketing!" Song Lingping couldn’t help but say, his eyes filled with a mixture of envy and admiration.

"I trained hard. What else? You think pies just fall from the sky?" Lin Kuang replied gruffly, glancing at him.

Hearing this, Song Lingping scratched his head. "True. And even if one did, it probably wouldn’t land on me."

Beside them, Su Huachen also watched Lin Kuang with deep admiration. Lin Kuang had always been the benchmark he strived to surpass. He had assumed that after a year in Devil’s Island Prison, Lin Kuang’s strength would have declined. But this isn’t a decline at all! His power is far more terrifying than it was a year ago.

Although Xu Yingying understood Lin Kuang’s intentions, she was still a little worried. Perhaps women are just more sensitive and thus worry more.

The group continued to eat, talk, and drink. While Lin Kuang seemed unaffected, Xu Yingying and the other women had flushed cheeks and watery eyes, which made them look incredibly charming. This was especially true for Shen Yanyu, who looked like she wanted to throw herself into Lin Kuang’s arms, her gaze never leaving him for a moment.

Song Lingping and Su Huachen were also quite drunk; after all, they had been trying to match Lin Kuang drink for drink. They were now hazily chatting with the two actresses, clinging to them and taking the occasional liberty.

Seeing the state of things, Lin Kuang decided it was about time to leave. But just then, an uninvited guest appeared before him once again.
