Chapter 547: Chapter 547: Reunion Again

In the room, Mu Wan waited calmly. As a seasoned agent with a wealth of experience, her perception was incredibly sharp, and she could already sense that someone was beginning to suspect her.

Yet Mu Wan also knew that someone from Dragon Front would come to her rescue; she just had not expected them to arrive so quickly.

Hearing the knock on the door and the voice outside, Mu Wan froze. Could that voice be his?

She shook her head with a bitter smile. He just got out of Devil’s Island Prison. How could he possibly have joined Dragon Front? I must be overthinking things.

Feeling helpless, Mu Wan gently opened the door.

The moment it swung open and their eyes met, they both trembled violently.

The next instant, Lin Kuang strode into the room, shut the door, and pulled Mu Wan fiercely into his arms, holding her so tightly it was as if he feared she would disappear again.

Mu Wan clung to Lin Kuang with equal fervor, her entire body overcome with emotion as tears streamed uncontrollably from her beautiful eyes.

They held each other tightly, neither speaking a word. The joy of their reunion echoed in their hearts—a truly wonderful feeling.

"Wan’er," Lin Kuang finally murmured after what felt like an eternity, his voice thick with deep longing. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎

When he first heard that Mu Wan had died, he did not know how he had managed to survive that year in Devil’s Island Prison. Thankfully, Old Liu was there to persuade and help him. Otherwise, Lin Kuang might have actually died.

Reunited at last, the feeling in his heart was nearly indescribable—it was pure, unadulterated joy.

"Yes, I’m here," Mu Wan responded, her tone equally filled with profound longing.

During her time in Tokyo, there were many instances when she had barely resisted the urge to tell Lin Kuang she was still alive. But it was a mission, and she could not say a word, no matter how much she wanted to. She had never anticipated they would reunite here.

"Alright, Wan’er, we need to go," Lin Kuang said, regaining his composure as he gently wiped the tears from her lovely face. "We can talk about everything else when we get back. Let’s leave this place."

"Yes, we’ll talk when we get back. Let’s go now," Mu Wan said, feeling undoubtedly happy. At that moment, she would have willingly died right there. Having seen Lin Kuang again, her greatest wish had been fulfilled, and that was enough.

"Okay, let’s go. Do you need to grab anything?" Lin Kuang asked.

"No, we can leave right away," Mu Wan replied.

Hearing this, Lin Kuang nodded. He led the way with Mu Wan following closely behind as they made their way from the sixth floor down to the first.

Meanwhile, the soldier at the entrance was growing anxious. He’s been in the restroom for over ten minutes. Why isn’t he back? Diarrhea?

The soldier tried to reassure himself, but just then, Lin Kuang emerged.

Seeing Lin Kuang finally come out, the soldier heaved a sigh of relief. However, when he saw Mu Wan trailing behind him, he was stunned.

"First Lieutenant, you are not permitted to leave this building," the soldier said, looking at Mu Wan.

Lin Kuang sneered, reached out his hand, and ended the man’s life in an instant.

"Wan’er, hurry, let’s go!" he urged, grabbing her hand and pulling her quickly toward the exit, which was now just a short distance away.

"Baka! None of you are getting away! Koji Sakura, we knew you were a problem. Just as we expected, you’re a damned Chinese, and your comrade really did come to save you!"

A voice boomed from outside the main gate as a group of people stormed in, led by a Lieutenant General of the Island Country. At the same time, the surrounding Island Country soldiers raised their guns in unison, their barrels locked squarely on Lin Kuang and Mu Wan.

Seeing this, Lin Kuang’s expression tightened. With so many guns trained on them, he knew they would not be able to escape even if they had wings.

"It seems these little devils are a bit cleverer than I thought," Lin Kuang said calmly, knowing that panic was useless.

"Koji Sakura, you’re quite a capable spy," Nakagawa Daihikari sneered at Mu Wan. "You managed to stay hidden among us for over a year. I must say, you’re the first person to have remained undercover for so long."

"Is that so?" Mu Wan retorted fearlessly, her expression placid. "Then again, that’s not surprising, considering the low IQ of you Island Country people. It’s perfectly normal that it took you this long to figure it out."

Hearing this, Nakagawa Daihikari’s face twitched, but he quickly forced a smile. "Koji Sakura, regardless, you’ve been discovered. Come with us. You can’t escape."

"Why should we run?" Lin Kuang said with a smirk as he walked toward Nakagawa Daihikari, paying no mind to the guns aimed at him. "Do we need to flee from the likes of you?"

Watching Lin Kuang approach, Nakagawa Daihikari’s small eyes narrowed. "Chinaman, do you think I don’t dare to kill you?"

"Oh, you dare," Lin Kuang replied with a shrug and a shameless grin. "Go ahead. Shoot."

"Fine! Since you wish to die, I will grant your wish! Kill him!" Nakagawa Daihikari commanded, his tone turning instantly to ice.

However, at that very moment, Lin Kuang moved. He became a black blur, vanishing from his spot. The Island Country soldiers, who were just about to fire, froze in confusion. Lin Kuang was gone, so who were they supposed to shoot?

In the next instant, Lin Kuang appeared behind Nakagawa Daihikari, his hand clamped around the general’s throat. With the slightest pressure, Nakagawa Daihikari would be dead.

Just as Lin Kuang secured his hostage, a sharp whistling sound cut through the air.

Without thinking, Lin Kuang spun around, using Nakagawa Daihikari’s arm as a shield. An instant later, a black ninja dart sank deep into the general’s arm, his face contorting in agony.

"To the rats hiding in the shadows, I advise you not to make a move, or I might accidentally kill him," Lin Kuang said, his voice laced with ice.

He knew there were ninjas hidden nearby, but with Nakagawa Daihikari in his grip, he was not particularly concerned.

Mu Wan walked over, a sincere smile on her face as she witnessed the surge in Lin Kuang’s strength. Her own abilities were formidable, but they paled in comparison to his.

Mu Wan’s entry into Dragon Front was solely due to her undercover mission. She bore an almost identical resemblance to the real Koji Sakura, whom Dragon Front had captured. After interrogating Koji Sakura and extracting all necessary information, Dragon Front’s leader, Lin Zhan, had ordered Mu Wan to take her place. That was how she came to the Island Country and became an undercover spy.
