Chapter 551: Chapter 551: Crisis in the Air

"This is a dodge battle. They get to attack us, and we can only hide. We can’t fight back," Mu Wan said irritably.

By now, the plane had gradually taken off and ascended high into the sky.

Seeing this, the Island Country’s soldiers couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. Many of them were thinking, This is great, they’re finally leaving! That means we won’t have to chase them anymore, right?

At that moment, a furious Nakagawa Nagakawa slapped Yu Chong so hard it sent him crashing to the ground.

Yu Chong was stunned by the blow. They escaped, so why are you hitting me? Am I just collateral damage?

"Damn it! Damn you! What are you looking at? Who allowed you, you fool, to leave the plane here? You idiot! Damn it!" Nakagawa Nagakawa howled in rage, drawing his sidearm and shooting Yu Chong dead on the spot.

Yu Chong never could have imagined that after becoming a traitor, he would be killed by the very people from the Island Country he chose to serve. It was a truly tragic end. If he were given another chance, he probably wouldn’t have chosen to follow them. However, a person only lives once. You must choose wisely before you act, or the consequences can be truly tragic.

"I don’t believe it! You think a private plane with no combat capabilities can survive against fighter jets? Just wait for death!" Nakagawa Nagakawa said viciously, watching the aircraft disappear over the horizon.

Meanwhile, Lin Kuang and Mu Wan naturally couldn’t hear Nakagawa Nagakawa’s words, and they probably wouldn’t have cared even if they could.

"Wan’er, the fighter jets will be here soon. If our plane gets blown up, will you have any regrets?" Lin Kuang asked with a smile, looking at the calm expression on Mu Wan’s face.

"I’ve already seen you, so what is there to regret? If I have any regret at all, it’s not having had a baby with you," Mu Wan said with a smile, her pretty face blushing slightly.

Hearing this, Lin Kuang couldn’t help but stroke her cheek. "Don’t worry. With me here, we won’t die. Trust me. I’m still waiting for you to have my child."

Lin Kuang spoke with a grin, but his heart was filled with worry.

"Yes, I believe you," Mu Wan said, smiling.

Lin Kuang nodded with a smile and then called his father in Yanjing. He needed support, but obviously not for Chinese fighter jets to fly to the Island Country—that would create chaos. He just needed the fighters to be waiting for him within their own nation’s borders. That was his plan.

When he explained the situation to Lin Guodong, his father’s demeanor grew solemn and furious. After all, everyone despises betrayal. That Yu Chong, a man the nation had spent years cultivating, had turned traitor was an undeniable loss for Dragon Front. Moreover, Lin Kuang and Mu Wan were in a perilous situation. Even Lin Guodong didn’t know if his son could survive such an ordeal.

"Alright, I’ll have people ready to support you at the border. You must be careful. The Island Country isn’t far from our nearest border; you should be able to get there in about an hour," Lin Guodong said. At this point, there was little else to say. Words were pointless. Everything now depended on Lin Kuang and Mu Wan.

"Understood, General. Don’t worry, we’ll make it back alive," Lin Kuang replied calmly.

"Alright. I can only wish you good luck," Lin Guodong said again before they hung up.

"Wan’er, you keep watch. Let me know if anything happens. I’m going to find something to eat. Even if we’re going to die, we can’t die as hungry ghosts, right?" Lin Kuang said with a laugh.

Hearing this, Mu Wan nodded irritably. "Go on then. Still thinking about food at a time like this? You glutton."

"Hehe, I’ll also see if I can find any weapons while I’m at it," Lin Kuang laughed, then began rummaging through the main cabin.

After searching for more than ten minutes, Lin Kuang found plenty of food and some expensive red wine, but no powerful weapons.

Damn it. Am I supposed to fight fighter jets with a submachine gun? The thought alone is insane, Lin Kuang muttered to himself.

He then searched carefully one more time, and finally, a wide, happy smile spread across his face.

"A rocket launcher and three rockets. It’s not a lot, but it’s much better than nothing," Lin Kuang said cheerfully.

Right there in a cabinet before him was a rocket launcher with three rockets.

"Lin Kuang, they’re here! Four fighter jets in total, and they’re closing in fast. We’ll be in their attack range in ten minutes!" Mu Wan’s voice suddenly called out, and Lin Kuang’s expression changed slightly.

They sure are fast, he thought. Lin Kuang grabbed the rocket launcher and the three rockets, quickly returning to the cockpit.

"Huh? You actually found a rocket launcher?" Mu Wan asked, her eyes wide at the heavy weapon in his hands.

"Yeah, but there are only three rockets for four jets. That’s not enough. We’ll have to figure something out for the last one," Lin Kuang said, sounding dejected.

"Forget it. Let’s just leave it to fate. I don’t have any regrets," Mu Wan said with a smile as she looked at him.

"But how could I bear to let you die with me?" Lin Kuang said, gazing at her pretty face.

"It’s okay, I’m not afraid," Mu Wan said, gently wrapping her arms around his waist.

"Well, I’m afraid! I still have to carry on the Lin family name. Dying like this would be so frustrating. Besides, I haven’t even... been with my Wan’er yet. I’ve been thinking about that for a long time," Lin Kuang said with a mischievous grin.

Hearing this, Mu Wan shot him an annoyed glare. "You sleaze. You’re still so lewd. Hmph, fess up. How many women have you been with out there? A womanizer like you must have taken advantage of plenty of others."

Lin Kuang was taken aback for a moment before laughing awkwardly. "Cough, cough, how could that be? I’m not that kind of person. We can talk about this later. Let’s get through this crisis first."

"Tch, changing the subject. We’ll enter their firing range in five minutes," Mu Wan said, glancing at the radar.

"Right, got it. Once we’re in range, the flying is all on you. I’ll handle the attack," Lin Kuang said with a smile, though he felt a knot of nervousness in his stomach. After all, they were in the sky, not on the ground. One wrong move and it would all be over.

"Yes, I understand," Mu Wan replied, her gaze holding a faint glint of excitement.

Lin Kuang smiled and went to the cabin door. He initially wanted to kick it clean off its hinges, but then he reconsidered, thinking it might still have some use.

At that moment, the four fighter jets were rapidly closing in on the private plane, all four pilots ready to open fire. They didn’t consider the private plane a threat at all. Since it was completely unarmed, they were certain a single missile would be enough to send it crashing down
