Valerian, The Legendary
Chapter 401: Demon General Sakar.
Valerian was talking to Vertex about a few things in the city and the entire continent when he found that the palace of Tyrant Immortuous had not yet been breached. The loyal soldiers were waiting for the return of their Emperor.
The young prince frowned and said, "Why is none of the people taking action?"
Vertex sighed and said, "The casualties in that battle were so high that even the soldiers were unwilling did raise weapons. One of the generals wanted them to fight, but the entire army boycotted him. That person is not living on a hill with his family serving some lower designations."
Valerian sighed and scratched his head before he asked, "This change occurred after Fortuna went berserk?"
Vertex nodded hesitantly. The young man with silver hair shook his head and said, "I will look into it. That palace still holds a lot of things that can be used for the welfare of the people, and also, they have a few dragon treasures in there."
Vertex said, "Well, you will have to deal with that. I wanted to ask you what you think about Makina?"
Valerian replied, "She is strong. She can be very effective if the teachings of their clan are passed down to the young people in the military. If they fight with this skill, they will not easily lose to the demons."
Vertex nodded and commented, "It would be nice if we could negotiate this with them."
The two people discussed the issue at great lengths when suddenly, a voice echoed in his mind, ’Val, something is wrong here.’
This voice belonged to Fortuna. He asked, ’What is it?’
’The weather has changed. There seems to be an energy gathering over.’, said Fortuna.
Valerian sensed some urgency in her voice and asked, ’Shall I come over?’
Fortuna replied, ’I think you should also contact the Pointiaf.’
...
Meanwhile, on the eastern shore, Fortuna sensed a great ominous presence. Gale stood beside her and said, "Your Majesty, is that place not where Master Valerian vanished?"
Fortuna was looking in the distance, she could tell something or someone was approaching them. Her heart was beating faster with every passing moment. Soon, a black dot appeared in the void.
Gale tensed up. The energy radiating from the dot was so eerie that their scales rattled. Their instinct was screaming that the thing coming over was not a friend. It was like an innate call of duty for them to fight this presence. The black spot did not enlarge for a few minutes but suddenly stretched into a sphere.
The void around the spot was twisted, and Fortuna said, "This is a portal from the Demon Kingdom."
Gale nodded and asked, "How do we fight?"
Fortuna shook her head and said, "It is not we. I will fight here. You will rush to the dragon kingdom and bring the news out. Go, we do not have much time."
Gale was hesitant. She argued, "Your Majesty, how can I leave you to face something like this alone?"
Fortuna spoke in a questioning tone, "It is my command. Do you deny it?"
A strong aura radiated from her body, and Gale moved three steps back. She bowed her head and left the place with a quick flap of her wings. Fortuna sighed and looked at the black portal. The next moment, she saw a bony hand clamped on the portal’s edge. Her eyes narrowed, she transformed into a small cat thinking about something, and all her dragon aura converged.
Soon the torso of a person appeared out of the portal. Fortuna found that the figure was that of a skeleton. She thought that the Demon Kingdom looked down on them. However, as soon as this thought flashed in her eyes, the skeleton turned to look at her side.
The next moment, the skeleton jumped out of the portal, and the portal closed. The skeleton shivered, and gradually tissues formed under its bones. Fortuna wanted to puke her breakfast, but she acted frightened. In her mind, she thought, since Bloomkin said that as long as a guardian was present in the place, the portal would not open, why did this guy come through?
When the regeneration was complete, the person before Fortuna was similar to a human. The only difference was that this guy had slightly red tint skin and condensed muscles. This Demon had two small horns on its head, and his hand had three fingers. The humanoid structure seemed to be weak.
Another portal opened in the void when she thought about what to do. The newcomer was the Pointiaf herself. She was surprised when she noticed the Demon, and the Demon was surprised when it saw the flower.
The Pointiaf asked, "How did you cross the world?"
The Demon did not answer her, but he rushed forward at a neck-breaking speed. The Demon wanted to attack this creature but froze in his stride when his claws were three feet away from the Pointiaf. The lady asked, "Answer my question. How did you come across the world?"
The Demon was choking from the pressure on his neck. The Pointiaf did not like to mess around. She went straight to the point and directly crushed the opponent. After a few moments of struggle, the Demon snarled and asked, "Who are you?"
The Pointiaf waved her hand, and the Demon was crushed. She said in a cold voice, "I asked you something."
Fortuna gulped from the side and then transformed back into her human form. The pointiaf looked at the young lady and nodded before she said, "Demon, last chance."
The Demon punched the ground before he said, "Bitch, you want to know how I came to this world? It is simple, and I sacrificed a few hundred virgins."
The Pointiaf furrowed her brows and asked, "You gave up your kin to open the portal?"
The Demon clicked his tongue and said, "What is so odd about that? Those creatures were born to serve me. Like you are."
The Pointiaf shook his head and said, "Wrong. You came to serve us."
That said, she waved her hand, and the demon’s limbs detached and flew away. The demon screamed in pain. The Pointiaf said, "Queen Fortuna, where is Master Valerian?"
The girl replied, "On the way, Your Excellency."
The Pointiaf nodded and wanted to say something when the decapitated limbs began regenerating, and the demon kept screaming. The creature stood up and said, "You cannot kill me till you know my name. Did you not know that?"
Fortuna crackled her fists and said, "Your Excellency, may I?"
The Pointiaf nodded, and Fortuna vanished from her spot. The next moment she appeared before the demon, and her fist landed on the temple of the humanoid. Her desired impact would have crushed the skull, but that was not the case.
The demon was not lagging either, he countered the attack, and Fortuna took half a step back. Earlier, she held back, thinking that the attack would kill the demon, but now with this force, she did not hold back and stepped in to fight with full strength. The demon wanted to counter, but the Queen of Dragons was smart. She cast a binding magic spell, and the demon turned into a punching bag for her.
She was confirming a few things. One of them turned out to be the regenerative capability of this creature. This was their main motive, to gain information about the demons and compare it with the annuls in the custody of the Bloomkins.
Fortuna beat the guy for ten minutes, but every thirty seconds, she would stop, and this creature would return to its initial shape. The dragon queen thought of something, and light mana appeared around her palm. The next moment, she used her palm like a sword and chopped off the arm of the demon, making the last scream in pain for the first time since he appeared in this place.
Fortuna waited and found that the arm did not regenerate. She turned to look at the Pointiaf, and the flower nodded. This was in line with the annuls. Fortuna asked, "See, we do not want to kill you, but we cannot keep you alive either. So you must suffer till we stop fearing you."
The demon roared and shouted, "You bitch! Who do you think you are? I will make you pay. I will fuck you and then feed you to my underlings, you motherfucking slut!"
The Pointiaf frowned and waved her hand, directly ripping out his tongue. She sighed and said, "Such profanities, what an uncouth creature."
Fortuna nodded and kicked the demon back at the Pointiaf’s feet. The two ladies took turns bullying this guy before Valerian arrived. The young man appeared before the Pointiaf and looked at the creature on the ground.
The Pointiaf waved her hand and a monocle appeared in the void. She said, "Here, you can use this to check his name."
Fortuna was confused and the Pointiaf said, "This is a dragon treasure, all-seeing glass."
The dragon queen was surprised, but Valerian did not waste time. He placed the monocle on his nose and gazed at the creature on the ground. Suddenly he sensed his eye heating up and the bones of the creature became visible.
The Pointiaf said, "Look at his heart."
Valerian focused and the organs became visible. He was baffled and asked, "Which one?"
The Pointaif said, "One of them must have his name engraved on it."
After a few moments, Valerian said, "Sakar."
