Valerian said the word, and the demon froze. It stood up from the ground and asked in a solemn tone, "What do you want?"

The aura on its body became colder as if it attacked them all. Although the people were unafraid, the Pointiaf said, "Get back from him."

The two of them knew that the Pointiaf was stronger and moved back. Sakar tilted his neck and asked, "Now what? Is that it? You thought you would find out my name, weaken me, and make me answer your questions. Right?"

The people did not know what was going on here when Sakar chuckled. The demon laughed maniacally, and the chopped hand regenerated from the stump. Sakar said, "You think you can make me do your bidding just because you have my name? That is a new fantasy I have heard. Come on, do it again."

The Pointiaf wanted to say something when Valerian said, "This is a trap. His name is making him stronger and not what you said."

The lady inside the rose petals opened her eyes wide and asked, "How is this possible?"

Valerian shook his head, and Fortuna said, "Beat him up again and then think of something."

The young man nodded, and the Pointaif said, "Begin then."

However, it was not easy to deal with Sakar this time. He seemed to have changed into a fighting god. Fortuna took seven minutes to bring him down, and that was with magic’s aid.

While she was beating the beast, Valerian was watching her and the demon. He was observing everything with a pair of indifferent eyes. The monocle on his nose gave him some details that blew his mind away after seven minutes when Sakar was down on the ground.

Valerian approached them, and under the dazed eyes of the demon, he waved his hand, and then—a few spikes of pure mana condensed in the void.

The young man said, "Your secret is unveiled."

The demon woke up from the daze, but then the mana spikes were hurled through seven selected points on his body. Fortuna stood up and asked, "What are you doing?"

Valerian said, "You will see."

The trio waited, and after a few minutes, the Pointiaf and the dragon queen were shocked. They did not expect it to be something like this. The demon’s body shriveled and lay on the ground like a dry husk. Fortuna asked hurriedly, "Did you kill it? You know this was the only lead we had?"

Valerian nodded and replied, "I have not killed him. Only blocked his vitals."

The Pointiaf asked, "What do you mean?"

Valerian replied, "Your Excellency, the use of this monocle is far greater than just looking through things. It can also show you the target’s inner movements, like how the blood flows around the body and the muscle movements. When Fortuna was fighting this thing, I found that he was absorbing some energy from the surroundings and channeling it through his hearts."

Fortuna pointed out and asked, "What do you mean hearts?"

Valerian replied, "This guy has five hearts. You must destroy all of them to kill him properly and still destroy the soul inside."

The Dragon Queen said, "How do you know where the soul is?"

Valerian pointed at the monocle, and the Pointiaf asked, "Master Valerian, where is the soul?"

The young man pointed at the center of the brow and said, "That is where the soul is. And it has only one way to escape the body. The host has to die, and then it will escape through the ears, nose or mouth, and other holes of the body, and thus I blocked those exist, and the pathway connecting to the hearts."

The Pointiaf nodded and said, "What happened earlier is wrong. We should have been able to defeat this thing from our world because we found out his name."

Valerian nodded and said, "I cannot help but agree more. The name did not seem to hinder him. On the contrary, we mentioned it twice, and the demon got stronger. You felt it too, I guess."

The pointiaf nodded and said, "Yes, I felt it too. However, what bothers me is that I do not have enough knowledge to defeat these guys. This one demon is enough to trick us. What will we do when the two worlds align, and the demons can come and go as they please?"

Fortuna said, "Would it be possible for the Order Of Mercy to know a bit more?"

The Pointiaf shook her head and replied, "If they knew, then the Saintess would have told us beforehand."

Valerian shook his head and said, "That is not necessary. Saintess Solaris was just elected to carry the legacy of the former Saintess, and she did not have sufficient time to learn anything.

However, we should take this guy to the Haven and have the Siantess try and seek an audience with the goddess. She would prove to be a better guide in this situation."

Fortuna nodded and said, "I agree because if the name is not the weakness and indeed empowers these guys, then we are better off not knowing it."

The Pointiaf nodded slowly. Looking around, she waved her hand, and a portal appeared. She said, "Let’s go right away then. I do not think we should waste any moment we can spare."

The young people nodded, and Fortuna picked up the husk of the demon in her hands and threw it inside the portal. She said, "I have to be present here. You can go along with Her Excellency."

Valerian nodded and followed the levitating flower through the portal. The journey was not long, and they arrived at the Haven in a blink. The guards below were surprised to see them and hurriedly greeted the two. However, Valerian shook his head and said, "Can you ask the Saintess to come over?"

The guards were surprised, and Valerian said, "This husk you see is a Demon General. This thing is sealed because I implanted Mana Spikes in his body to block the energy channeling. If the barrier around the Haven dispersed the mana, this thing will become our doom."

The guards still did not reply and were stunned when the Pointiaf came forward and said, "Can you hear what he said?"

Her voice was ethereal, but the pressure it put on others was staggering. The guards woke up, and one wittily replied, "Your Excellency, please allow me to inform the Saintess."

The lady nodded, and the guards hurried to the Haven. The process took a few minutes before Valerian saw that the Saintess had come down from the Haven with Nun Gaia behind her.

Solaris spotted the husk of the demon and was shocked by the ghastly appearance of this thing. She asked, "Your Excellency, what is going on?"

The Pointiaf said, "Demon General from the kingdom of demons. He sacrificed ten thousand of his kin to open a portal here. Thankfully we had the Dragon Queen present to deal with the threat. We know this demon’s name, but it was useless." 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

Solaris was dazed. This was too much for her to deal with suddenly. Nun Gaia tugged on her robe, and the Saintess woke up. She said, "Your Excellency, how may I help?"

Valerian said, "Your Eminence, can you communicate with the goddess?"

The lady was surprised and immediately shook her head. She said, "I have never done that, and a Saintess can only communicate with the deity when she has accumulated enough faith. It is difficult, and I must perform good deeds for years before I can have a small encounter with the Goddess."

The Pointiaf sighed, and the young man pondered and said, "Should I go through the flames again?"

Solaris was surprised but before she could say anything. The Pointiaf said, "You cannot pass through the flames."

Valerian asked, "But why?"

He did not understand this because he had passed through them twice. The Pointiaf said, "Third time, the flames are so hot that even if you have the bones of iron, you will melt and evaporate in a blink. None of the people have ever survived this."

Valerian still wanted to ask when Solaris said, "Even the dragons or the magicals cannot survive these things."

They defeated the young man. He could not say anything at this point. Suddenly, the Pointiaf said, "Where is that child, Valerie?"

The young man asked confusedly, "She is in the Centaur nation. What about her?"

Solaris exclaimed, "I understand that girl has a special affinity to the goddess. When you were fighting Tyrant, she was praying for your wellness. This prayer of hers granted you a barrier of protection."

Valerian was surprised and asked, "Nobody told me any of this."

The Pointiaf waved her hand and replied, "Master Valerian, can you please get her over? Do not worry, I will keep a watch on this demon husk."

The young man was about to move when Solaris said, "Val, take Gaia with you."

Valerian did not know why the Saintess asked him such, but he did not refuse either.
