Valerian and Gaia walked through the portal holding hands. They appeared in the royal court of Centaur. The courtiers were surprised, and the guards were alerted. They all charged toward the duo when a cold sound echoed in the hall, "Stop."

Morgana watched the two from the throne and asked, "Prince Valerian, any reason that allows you to get away with such intrusion?"

She was the Empress, and this court was her playhouse. She would not allow anyone to trample her dignity. This sort of rowdy behavior was not a good thing. Valerian bowed slightly and replied, "I beg your pardon, Your Excellency, but the situation was a bit urgent and delicate. The Pointiaf and the Saintess sent us here on an urgent basis. I think this should be enough."

Morgana shook her head and said, "Sadly, it is not. If you had told a guard outside, they would not have sent you here."

Valerian nodded and replied, "Since you wish to know, fine. However, if this news were to get out of the courtroom, you would be responsible for their deaths and discretion."

Morgana nodded, and Valerian replied, "A few hours ago, we captured a demon general on the eastern coast. This guy came to our world by killing ten thousand of his own. He wished for the free land under my command. How was I to allow that? So we chopped off his legs and arms, but they regenerated.

We found out his name, but it only made him stronger. He finally had to use the mana to block his vitality. The demon is not dead and certainly does not fear us gradually when the mana blocks degrade. It will give him a chance to get stronger."

One of the courtiers asked, "Prince Valerian can you tell us the name of this Demon General?"

The young man asked, "Which part of ’the name does not help’ did you not understand?"

The courtier fell silent, and Valerian said, "We only came here to bring Valerie along. The Pointiaf wishes to see her."

Surprised, Morgana nodded, "Okay, I will call her right now. You can take her with you."

Valerian thanked her formally before he walked out of the court. He looked at the silent Gaia beside him and asked, "Sister Gaia, why have you been so silent today?"

The young lady shook her head, and Valerian said, "I understand you are grieving. But did you not see how Saintess Solaris was worried?"

Gaia nodded and said, "I know, but what can I do? I cannot help but recall her when I stay in the Haven. It gets to me a lot."

Valerian nodded and said, "If that is the case, then I shall arrange for you to stay in Centaur. You will be able to divert your mind here."

Gaia nodded indifferently, "That would be for the best."

Valerian patted her head gently. He did not say anything because none of his words would make any difference to the young lady now. She could only get over it alone when he sympathized with the girl. A silver figure appeared behind him and jumped on his back. Valerian could not help but take a step to regain his balance. He patted her head and said, "Vali, stop being so naughty."

Valerie chuckled and said, "Stop being Maa."

The young man snorted and said, "We have important work. Come along."

Valerie said, "Do you not have to say bye to the Empress of your heart?"

The young man sighed and said, "She is already here."

That said, Valerian turned around and, looking at Morgana, asked, "Adjourned the court so quickly?"

Morgana nodded and said, "I was forced to. The topic of demons takes priority over everything. Aunt Zeenat has been stacked with work these days because of it. Come, let me see you in the garden."

Valerian nodded and replied, "This is Nun Gaia. She used to be Saintess Misericordia’s aide. Can you arrange for her to stay in the Temple here?"

Morgana bowed slightly to the nun, and the young nun reciprocated her gesture. She said, "I will send her to work with the beastmen. Her presence could help the people adjust to each other better. I hope you do not have any issues if we tell the people that you knew the Saintess?"

Gaia shook her head and said, "It was my honor to be by her side all these years. To me, she was family. You may do as you please, Your Excellency."

The people then headed toward the garden. On the way, Valerian gestured for Valerie to get off his back as they walked forward. Morgana asked, "What is it?"

The young man said, "Gaia, she is going through a hard time. This arrangement is for her to discover a new identity. Grandma is not here anymore, but if she were, she would like to have her develop an identity of her own. Do take note of this."

Morgana nodded and asked, "Is that all?"

Valerian nodded, and the two discussed a few things briefly before Valerie said, "Big brother, Saintess Solaris is calling us back. She said there was movement."

The young man hurriedly bade farewell to Morgana, and the two people asked the Pointiaf to open a portal through the soul communication bead. The portal opened directly in the garden. The Pointiaf was a magical plant; she could sense the plants and had left a mark on Valerian’s body earlier.

...

The two people appeared below the Haven. A camp had been established on the side, where the Pointiaf and the Saintess were watching the demon husk. Valerian rushed over quickly. Valerie followed him when she came inside the tent. She exclaimed in horror. Valerian patted her back gently, and the girl calmed down after some consolation.

Valerian asked, "Your Excellency, what now?"

The Pointiaf replied, "Now, we seek if the Goddess can help her. In the meantime, you should recast the block."

Valerian nodded and waved his hand to condense mana spikes. He redid the seal, and Solaris said, "I shall take Valerie and Her Excellency to the prayer room. There Valerie can try and communicate with the Goddess."

Valerian agreed. He did not have any complaints in this regard. Valerie was confused when the Saintess and the Pointiaf led her to the prayer room. The journey was not long. It took the people a few minutes only.

Solaris kneeled before the Goddess’s mural, and Valerie knelt beside her. The Saintess said, "Valerie, pray to the goddess so that she guides us. That bad thing you saw down there is a creature that will kill everyone in the world."

Valerie was surprised and asked, "Why will they kill everyone?"

Solaris sighed and said, "It is in their nature to kill. The first person they will come after is Valerian and Her Majesty Fortuna. Please pray to the goddess so she guides us."

Valerie was shocked and did not ask anything as she closed her eyes and began to pray. Her lips fluttered but no voice came out from her mouth. She was praying from the depth of her heart. The pointiaf watched all this from the side and said, "Goddess, please guide us."

After a few minutes, there was no change in the surroundings and the two ladies gave up the notion. They were about to tell Valerie to stop. Suddenly, something happened. The young lady stood up and walked toward the mural. Solaris said, "Vali, what are you doing? Stop."

She was worried that the girl would trigger the flames of Vita. However, before she could say anything else, the surroundings changed. Valerie’s hair fluttered, and her steps stopped falling on the ground.

The young lady walked into the void. When she was three feet above the ground, she said, "What is it that you seek my guidance for?"

Valerie’s eyes were glowing with a golden glow, and her hair fluttered too. Her voice had turned ethereal and she was not like the young girl she was before. Right now, she was very much calm and mature.

Solaris asked in shock, "Your Holiness, I see you."

The young lady said, "Solaris, you are the saintess now, do not lay down. Raise your head."

Solaris raised her head with tears and the Pointiaf moved forward while she bowed, "Your Holiness, I am Pointiaf. I have seen you."

Valerie hummed and asked, "Tell me, what do you seek my guidance for? To think you will even make my incarnation to pray. What is it?"

These words shocked the two ladies. Valerie continued, "The incarnation was not to be activated until the world was about to end. Since it has activated, what is the threat you face? Also, the time is short, do not ask unnecessary things."

The two figures nodded and they began to narrate the incidents of the past, and then they told her about the demon Valerian captured and the situation they were facing. The goddess said, "I will impart all my knowledge to the girl. She will be your guide in the future wars."

The two ladies bowed and watched Valerie slowly descending to the floor.
