Chapter 405: Facing The Obstacles.

Valerian and Fortuna were sitting under the pavilion in the Palace Of Lumen. They had received a word from the Pointiaf. She will send an envoy to help them communicate with all the magicals.

It was not practical to mobilize all the chieftains for small discussions. The time taken in commuting was wasteful. Valerian and the rest agreed that they needed to be efficient. The two people were sipping tea when Fragrantia appeared.

The two greeted her, and the Empress joined them. She asked, "What is on the agenda?"

Valerian thought briefly, saying, "We need to find a way to find the demon names. If not, we will be in a bind. We would not be able to seal the demons."

Fragrantia nodded thoughtfully and asked, "So what do you think we should do? You told me you have a dragon treasure on you, but it will be a trinket if it does not apply to wide-area usage."

Valerian nodded and said, "Although I agree with you. This thing is a dragon treasure, and we do not know much about it. This treasure could have other uses that we have yet to discover."

Suddenly a sweet voice sounded, "It would be nice if everyone had a glass that could see through things."

The people spotted Valerie riding a black leopard. Valerian recognized this beast, and it was Mathiyus. Since the big cat was here, Priscilla was back too. Valerian looked around and did not find the lady. He asked, "Vali, where is Priscilla?"

The girl hopped off Mathiyus’s back and skipped over to him as she said, "Sister Priscilla is in the market. She is buying a few supplies for herself."

Valerian nodded, and Fortuna said, "We must communicate with other magical species. We need to find if they can create magical tools that may work like your monocle."

Valerian shrugged as he leaned back in the chair. Valerie stood behind him and massaged his head. The prince said, "I do not know what we will do, but we will do something."

That said, he closed his eyes and fell asleep under the gentle touch of the young girl. He was quick to sleep, and Fragrantia left the pavilion under the guise of some tasks. Fortuna asked, "Vali, did something happen in the Haven?"

The young girl smiled and asked, "What do you mean, Sister Fortuna?"

Fortuna shook his head and did not ask, but who knew that the girl would come over to her side and whisper in her ear, "It is what you think it is."

Fortuna opened her eyes wide. Earlier, she thought Valerie was feeding Valerian with the ideas, but now she realized it was only the truth. This girl was indeed advising him to mind disguise.

She did not expect Valerie to admit this fact with such ease. She asked, "Is it true? What The Pointiaf told me?"

Valerie nodded and came around the chair to sit in Fortuna’s lap. She said, "See, I have her memories but still want to be myself. From now on, I will pass on advice to you. That will be easier."

Fortuna was surprised to see that the incarnation of the goddess was chilling in her lap. However, she shook her head and did not think much about it. No matter what she thought, the reason was simple and would not make a difference. The girl now had the power to deal with the entire world and was also the only person who could save it.

Fortuna patted her head and said, "Do not worry. Your secret is safe. If anyone dared to leak it to anyone, you tell me, I will whip them."

Valerie giggled and nodded forcefully. The two began to chat about a few things when a guard arrived outside the pavilion. He bowed and said, "Your Highness, His Excellency is calling for Forth Prince in the courtroom."

Valerie nodded and said, "We will be there."

She hopped off Fortuna’s lap and came to Valerian. She watched his face for a bit, and then a smile appeared. Fortuna watched all this from the side with a curious gaze. Valerie rushed out of the pavilion and returned with a blade of grass. The blade was slightly bigger than a few inches, and the young lady brushed it against Valerian’s ears and nose.

The young man shook his head and rubbed his nose a few times before he woke up sneezing. Valerie exclaimed and began clapping. Fortuna could not help but chuckle at the antics of this little one.

Valerian looked at the situation, deduced that he was pranked, and narrowed his eyes at the girl. He said, "Vali, you naughty child. Come here."

The girl avoided his grab and stuck out her tongue. Valerian stood up and rushed after her. The little one was very agile, and the two began to rush around the palace before they reached the Court, and Valerian finally caught the little girl. The two were in the corridor, and Valerian said, "Don’t you like to tickle me? Come, I will show you."

Valerian began to tickle the girl, and her laughter echoed in the palace. The staff around them was mesmerized by the scene. Fortuna arrived at the scene and said, "Val, the envoy from bloomkin, is here. Get your act together."

Valerian nodded and helped the gasping little princess sort her stuff. He bowed to her and said, "Your Highness, shall we go to the royal court?"

Valerie snorted and raised her chin high while extending her jade palm. Valerian held her hand, and the two walked through the corridor.

...

The announcer said, "His Highness the Fourth Prince and Her Highness the Fifth Princess entering the royal court with Her Majesty Fortuna, the Queen Of Dragons."

The people trained their gaze at the entrance. The trio entered together, and when they came to the center of the Court, the two bowed to greet the Emperor while the latter greeted Fortuna with a nod. Valerian looked around and found a tulip floating in the void. He understood this was the bloomkin envoy.

The creature floated forward and said, "Greetings, Master Valerian. I am Meed."

The young man reciprocated the gesture and said, "Greetings, Lady Meed, welcome to the Lumen Empire. We are grateful that you came over."

Meed shook her head and said, "You are patronizing me too much, Master Valerian. I must come over and help you in these tough times."

Valerian smiled faintly and said, "Do you have any message?"

Meed nodded and replied, "The Pointiaf asked if you could discuss a few plausible options with the rest of the humans to find out the real name of the demons. The magicals are busy with a few things of their own. The Pointiaf has asked them to prepare weaponry and record spell books to be shared with your kin."

Valerian was surprised and said, "Do you not think it would be too much?"

Meed smiled and replied, "The Pointiaf had told me you would hesitate, so I must assure you. Do not worry; we also fear that some human with a petty mind could take the initiative and use our spells against us. So to make sure that does not happen. The spells we share will be self-preserving and defensive. To aid humans when they face the demons."

The young man nodded and said, "That is good."

The courtiers also began to discuss demons and the army’s measures. Fortuna became a key speaker in this matter. Of course, she was given a chair to sit on before she was asked to share her knowledge. The discussion lasted a whole day and many things were handled. Afterward, Meed asked to stay in the garden and the young people came to the dining room to have a meal.

...

The news of the fight between Fortuna and the Demon General Sakar spread worldwide like flames in dry grass. The people had been in despair ever since that meeting of the forces on the Titan Peak. However, now the news of a small Victory made them realize they had a chance at victory.

The world began to praise Fortuna for her bravery and the Pointiaf for her support. They also knew that Valerian had acted to take down the creature and promoted the vibe of unity among the masses. The temple of mercy spread the tale around and advocated that people from all races must work together to fight against the demons and survive.

...

All the main governing bodies in the world received an envoy and the communication with Magicals became very frequent. Over the weeks of discussion, they tried all sorts of methods to replicate the effects of the monocle.

At this moment, they faced another problem, where shall the human army camp? What if the dark elements of human society worked against them, took advantage of the absence of the forces, and began to act anarchistically?

The entire world has come together to face the obstacles. They wished nothing but to kill the demons and save what they could.
