Chapter 407: Sky Dome.

Valerian sat on his chair with his head leaned against the headrest. He was not doubtful of the effect of the letter. After all, everyone knew that the Saintess could communicate with the goddess. So, the letter will put the people in a calmer state. Another thing that he had to deal with was to find a way to seek out the true names of the demons.

Once they found the name, holding them back and invoking the holy banishment seal would be possible. Valerian could not come up with anything. He opened his eyes, and a sigh escaped his mouth. He looked at the dome above his head in a daze. When he was thinking, Valerie appeared beside him, raised her head to look at the dome, and said, "Big brother, why does it always feel like someone is looking down on us from the skylight?"

Looking at the skylight on the top of the dome, Valerian was surprised and said, "You are just thinking too much Vali. What will anyone get from looking down from there?"

The young lady shrugged and said, "How would I know what information one found looking at us? Why not go up there and see if what I said is true? You know the entire courtroom is visible from that skylight."

Valerian furrowed his brows, but he did not know why he wanted to try and see if what the girls said was the truth. He held her hand and walked out of the courtroom. Then they found they came to the garden outside the courtroom, and with a simple wind spell, they landed on the skylight.

Valerian crouched down beside the hole and looked down. He was surprised that he had a bird’s eye view of the court and that only the people behind the pillars would escape his sight. He furrowed his brows and looked at the little girl beside him, peeking inside the skylight with great curiosity.

He could not help but shake his head and watched her ears flutter. He tried to recall the last time he saw someone with such innocence. The girl suddenly said, "Big Brother, do you think that the sun is a skylight hole and Goddess Vita uses it to peek at us?"

Valerian was surprised, and then he chuckled. He said, "I have no idea where you get all these ideas from."

Valerie scratched her head and giggled. Suddenly, Valerian froze in his actions. He turned his gaze to look at the girl, and then, after a few minutes, he became very excited and said, "Vali, you are a genius, my darling."

Valerie raised her chin and pompously said, "I am aware."

The two looked at each other and then chuckled. Valerie had sensed some discomfort in the young man’s behavior these days. It could be that he could not come up with methods to deal with the demons piled up with the problems he was facing on the civil front. Valerian did not wish for the people to suffer from the mental torment of something bound for the future.

After spending some time on the top of the court dome, the two people came down, and Valerian made his way to his study. He picked up a quill and a piece of parchment before he began to write down all the ideas that came to him. He would converse with the Pointiaf about this; hopefully, it might work.

Meed was the person who was responsible for passing the messages to the Pointiaf. After finishing all his ideas, he made a bundle of the letters and brought them to Meed. This bloomkin resided in the most beautiful flower garden inside the Empress’s palace. She said it reminded her of home.

Valerian had forgotten that it was already evening when he had finished writing his letters. He came to the garden and softly said, "Lady Meed, are you there?"

A flower floated up from the cluster of lilies, and Meed replied, "Master Valerian, is everything alright?"

Only then did the young man realize that it was pretty late in the day. Meed was a bloomkin, and they became very passive after sundown. He bowed his head and said, "I apologize to disturb you at this hour, My Lady, but it was something urgent."

Meed shook her head and said, "I know that you are not a brash person, please tell me what it is?"

Valerian stepped forward and extended the set of parchment towards her. He said, "My lady, these are the few ideas that I came upon with the help of my younger sister. Please pass them onto the pointiaf and ask Her Excellency to take a look and see if anyof these is feasible."

The lady nodded and with a wave of her hand, the parchments flew up in the void and after circling her, they vanished. Meed said, "I will be heading back to meet her right away. Please rest assured."

Valerian nodded, and watched the lady vanish from her spot also. He sighed and then after stretching his joints a bit he headed back inside the palace. The entire planet of Vita was rumbling these days, he was hoping for some of the peace to return back soon.

...

The Pointiaf was talking to the envoys of the other magical races, who had come over to discuss a few things. The biggest issue they had was how they felt restless depending over a human child. Well even if Valerian was now in his twenties and he had seen more devastating things than they could, he was still a child.

The pointiaf was rubbing her forehead in frustrations. She had told these people many times that things like this took time. However, they were still not pacified. As the lady was thinking about how to counter them, a petal guardian walked inside the court and bowed his head and said, "Your Excellency, Lady Meed is outside, she says it is something important."

The Pointiaf thanked the goddess in her mind and said, "Let her in."

The guard left and The Pointiaf said, "You all, please calm down, Meed is one of my aides who have been staying in the Lumen Empire these few days. She must have returned with something important."

The rest of the people looked at each other and fell silent. They were not very sure, but the Pointaif was the strongest of them all, and the world of Magical Species respected the strength one commanded.

Meed came inside and bowed her head to greet the Pointiaf and said, "Your Excellency, Master Valerian have sent a few letters for you to look at and decide if any of them could be a plausible measure we can use against the demons."

The Pointaif was happy but she nodded calmly and said, "Show me."

Meed nodded and with a wave of her, the letters appeared in the void. They all flew over before the Pointiaf, and the lady began to read them all. The more she read, the more shocked she became. She did not think that Valerian would come up with something like this

She passed on the letters to the rest of the people in the court and said, "Now do you understand why I asked you to be patient?"

The magicals could not help but shiver. The Pointiaf gazed at an envoy and asked, "Master Schyl, what do you think?"

The person was a grumpy looking dwarf, he was a leading figure in the world of craftsmen and was know to create magic weapons. When he was engrossed in the letter, The Pointiaf smirked. After a few minutes, Schyl stood up and said, "Your Excellency, I will be going to have the people create a model and see how feasible this design is before I pass my comment."

The Pointiaf nodded and said, "Yes."

Schyl bowed and then said, "I will see you all in a few hours and then we will discuss if the Sky Dome is as capable as this young man has speculated it to be in the letter."

The people nodded and Schyl left. They all began to talk about other issues in the meantime. From the letters they knew that the Sky Dome was a plausible strategy that Valerian had come up to find out the names of the demon. The next problem they had was to relay the names to the sealing teams.

The magicals had ways to communicate within their clans. The Pointiaf also began to discuss with them and soon a few hours passed. Schyl rushed inside the court unannounced and he was panting badly. Everyone looked at the situation and thought something bad has happened.

However, Schyl fell to his knees and said, "Your Excellency, we followed everything to the description and we created a one tenth ratio model. We used all sorts of attacks, from the inside, be it magic, or be it force. We even used magic weapons in collective forms, but the dome survived them all.

The skylight provides a complete vision of the situation on the ground, without any blind spots. This idea will work. We only need to affix the monocle on the top and have someone observe the situation."

The magicals all stood up from there feet. The young man they all were doubting proved his worth again.
