Villain Extra: Rogue Reader
Chapter 11: Ragebaiting
Ray continued to laugh wildly when the gentle-looking man tucked his tail and ran away like a wussy.
But what was even funnier was that he made sure to bait the dumb skinny man into charging at them to give himself time to escape.
If that wasn’t a villainous strategy, then Ray didn’t know what else could be considered villainous.
"Belva, do your thing." Ray gestured with his fingers when he saw how the skinny man had given up on resisting.
They didn’t even bother to struggle as Belva immobilized him for Ray to do the final killing.
"Make it quick!" Belva warned as she turned into a gusting wind. The speed at which she used to chase after the coward was fast.
Soon, the dust gathered around him.
"Cough cough..." Ray coughed a few times. "She definitely did that on purpose."
He waved his hand to scatter the dust away. Once the dust had settled, his eyes shifted to the near-death skinny man.
"Just kill me already." The skinny man said with a deadpan tone.
It was clear that he knew his fate very well. He either succeeded in robbing and enjoying a great time or died a miserable death.
Ray glanced at him for a few moments. Initially, he planned on torturing them before killing them.
The robbers in the Lord of Magic were brutal by nature. Many innocent lives were lost in the process because of them.
’Forget it, I really can’t feel much when I never get a good backstory of them.’ Aside from a few certain ones where they had been described quite vividly, he honestly couldn’t be bothered.
Humans were like that.
If the crap didn’t happen to people you know or care about, then you most likely choose the bystander role or outright ignore the issue.
"But sike!" He suddenly snickered and cast the Elemental Barrier.
Afterward, like a human dive bomb, he jumped and landed straight on the skinny man.
"WHAT—" The skinny man’s pupils instantly constricted.
Unfortunately, he didn’t even get a chance to utter another word when the barrier directly squashed him to death.
While the skinny man was smashed to death in such a fashion, Ray found himself bouncing to another area.
"Ah, this is like a bouncy ball." He smacked his lips in amusement.
[You have defeated an opponent!]
"Yeah, thanks for the kill confirmation. Now hurry up and devour them!" He couldn’t wait to see what other skills he would obtain.
However, to his dismay, the devouring process actually failed.
Well, it was more accurate to say that the devouring happened. But because of how low-level the two people were, there was nothing to be devoured.
Or more specifically, nothing significant was worthy of the Abyssal Dominion Core.
"So, to summarize, this core is a picky item." Ray furrowed his brows and tapped on the ground softly with his shoe.
[Just like how you refused to eat your greens. The core is also picky in its devouring target.]
"Fair point." For the first time, Ray nodded and didn’t complain. With that kind of analogy, how was he supposed to call the core out?
Eating greens?
Maybe if it were those crunchy lettuce wrapped in the delicious barbecue grilled meat, then yes!
But otherwise, sorry, no way!
Life was depressing enough already.
Why should he subject himself to eating more depressing food?
[Aren’t you afraid the vegans might hound you down for your statement?]
"Vegans? Sure, if they can even have the energy to call me out." He laughed wildly.
[+5 Villain Points!]
Upon seeing the points gained, he laughed even harder.
"See, even you agreed!"
Sometime later, Ray casually walked toward Belva’s direction. He wasn’t deaf enough to not hear the screaming and whining from that direction had finally stopped.
It was also why he deliberately stalled his time in his current scene.
The profiling from the system had long stated Belva was a sadist.
Once unleashed, that sadistic nature would spread far and wide until she finally calmed down.
’I’m not afraid of her sadistic nature. I am only giving her the time to do whatever she wants.’ He deceived himself as he approached the scene.
Sure enough, the scene was beyond unrecognizable.
The gentleman robber was still breathing, but he might as well not be breathing at all.
His body had turned into a bloody mess, especially the lower part, which had turned into a red paste.
Blood was scattered everywhere, dyeing the nearby trees crimson.
"You’re here?" Upon sensing his presence, Belva turned to him with a wide smile. Her face was literally drenched in blood, giving off a horror vibe.
’Don’t be scared. This isn’t a horror movie. Man up, brother!’ Ray stared at her in silence. He kept trying to convince himself to speak up or joke about something.
Unfortunately, this kind of scene was really creepy.
He wasn’t afraid of blood, but he sure as hell was afraid of this kind of scene that only appeared in horror games and movies. And he meant actual horror games, not the ridiculous wannabe horror genre ones.
"What are you standing there for?" Belva tilted her head and asked. She then pointed at the barely breathing robber. "He’s still alive, so you can do the final hit or whatever you were doing."
The gentleman robber exhaled weakly as he turned to Ray.
"Your face is hideous." He taunted coldly before coughing up a mouthful of blood.
"Was that supposed to be a ragebait?" Ray smirked in response. Did this robber seriously take him for a fool?
It was so obvious that the robber called his face hideous in hopes of enraging him so that he would give him a swift death.
This robber had to do better than that in ragebaiting!
Rather than entertaining him, Ray found a small leaf nearby. He picked it up and slowly dropped it on the robber.
As the leaf swayed left and right, it gradually landed on the robber.
"That counts as critical damage!!!" Ray clapped his hands and turned to Belva.
"Are there monsters around the forest?"
Belva nodded.
"Good, lure the monsters over here and let them have a feast." He said humorously before flashing a sinister and cold expression.
"I’m sure many innocent women had also begged for mercy, only to receive none. So why should he get mercy?"
