Villain Extra: Rogue Reader
Chapter 12: Who Are You
Belva was a bit taken aback at first when she heard Ray’s suggestion. But soon, she curled her lips upward.
"I suppose so." She nodded and agreed with him.
"I don’t want to be dirtied by his filthy blood."
"Yeah, his filthy blood is too disgusting." Ray feigned blindness so that she wasn’t totally covered in blood.
The gentleman robber could only cough up another round of blood in anger.
Why did he choose to target them?
They were clearly a villain—no, a devil in disguise!
Both Ray and Belva ignored his aggrieved looks.
Instead, they turned around and found a nearby place to hide.
"So why did you suggest that he be killed by monsters?" Belva asked in a low but subtle tone.
"Hmm, if you want to kill him with your hands, then go ahead." Ray calmly responded.
Since Belva had cleansed her bloodied mess with magic, she no longer appeared frightening, allowing him to return to his usual composure.
’As if I would reveal to anyone about my Abyssal Dominion Core.’ Even though he doubted Belva could betray him, Ray wasn’t foolish enough to reveal his power.
’Since these trashes cannot be devoured, what about the monsters nearby. Surely, the monsters can’t be that trash to be ineligible, right?’
He was betting on the fact that this wasn’t a fruitless trip. Otherwise, he really would have no way of ranting about the wasted time.
A few minutes later, multiple footsteps could be heard from afar.
"They’re here." Belva quickly cast a concealment barrier around them to mask their presence from the monsters.
Meanwhile, the gentleman robber was horrified to learn that they really left him alone to become food for monsters.
"To hell with being eaten alive!" They clenched their weak fists.
He wanted to bite his tongue to end his life quickly, only to discover he couldn’t do anything to harm himself.
"Shit shit shit!" Without a doubt, he had been cursed by that vile woman.
As he tried his best to crawl away, the monsters were even faster. In the blink of an eye, they emerged from the tall grass, their mouth drooling in saliva.
With each dripping sound, the gentleman robber panicked further.
"Hey, I’m sorry for acting like some refined scholar!" He turned in the direction that they had gone off to and yelled. It didn’t matter if he was making a loud noise or not.
The monsters easily sensed his position based on the blood smell.
There was no way to hide himself from those ferocious monsters lurking in the forest.
"Please kill me now."
He continued to plead for a quick end, only to be ignored completely.
In the meantime, the monsters finally made their way toward him. Needless to say, the monsters didn’t pounce right away despite the feast in front of them.
Instead, they scattered around the vicinity, clearly searching for any other personnel nearby.
"They’re pretty cautious of monsters," Ray commented. "Are you concealing magic good enough to hide from them?"
"I don’t know." Belva shrugged. "Why not test it out? You can strip to your boxers and laugh wildly to see if you attract them."
"Good idea." He nodded in agreement.
Just when Belva was about to laugh and watch him be a fool again, his next words stunned her.
"Let’s see you strip down to bikinis and start screaming like that. My eyes will have a feast either way."
Her face quickly darkened as she resisted the urge to strangle him or push him away from the concealment.
"Alright, jokes aside. Once the monsters had their bellies full, incapacitate them for me to do the final hit." Ray chuckled heartily.
Want to mess with him?
Sorry, but his fortitude was too strong.
And don’t anyone dare mention that he got baited by a BL novel.
That was a closely guarded secret that only he and Chasing Star knew.
Ray would absolutely lose his cool if anyone else learned of this misery.
"I don’t even know what I did to be stuck here." Belva exhaled softly and undid the concealment once she saw the monsters had finished their feast.
Not a single remnant of the gentleman robber was left. Only some blood on the ground could be seen, and it was the last evidence of his demise here.
Once the concealment was undone, the monsters were alerted and alarmed by another presence.
They quickly assumed their battle mode, but Belva simply snickered.
"While I was torturing the food you gleefully ate, I made sure to ruin them badly with my mana." She then snapped her fingers, instantly triggering the residual mana in the monsters’ internal organs.
As if a bolt of lightning had struck them, the monsters went into shock, their bodies twitching rapidly.
"Can you come out now?" Belva snapped. She turned around and saw Ray still hiding behind a tree.
"Haha, I was just giving you free rein." Ray patted his clothes and laughed heartily.
"More like you’re afraid your ugly face would provoke the monsters right away." She sneered.
"What fart nonsense are you spouting?"
He ignored her and approached the incapacitated monsters.
"How scary." He stared at their ferocious expression as he gave each of them a kick.
Naturally, he made sure to cover his legs with the Elemental Barrier.
’When was he able to conjure such a dense barrier??!’ Sure enough, Belva’s eyes widened in disbelief.
According to the information she had read, Ray was definitely an ordinary person without a magic core.
How was he able to cast magic?
’Wait, that isn’t right.’ She suddenly recalled his ability to alter the contract without alerting the owner. Even though she learned the contract owner had changed, she seriously couldn’t detect it until Ray personally commanded her with the contract.
Of course, Robert had instructed her to obey Ray’s words, but there were still some restrictions. Yet those kinds of restrictions were bypassed because of Ray’s order.
As Ray finished kicking every monster to their death, Belva approached him slowly.
"Just who are you really?" She asked.
"Me?" Ray pointed at himself and smirked.
"Just a rogue reader."
