This light was neither warm nor cold, neither heavy nor light. It seemed to exist beyond all emotion and beyond all perception, and yet the moment it touched Emrys, a profound sense of weight settled upon him.

This light carried the meaning of the Absolute Rule of Cause and Effect.

Suddenly, Emrys felt countless invisible threads spread out from his body, connecting him to everything he had ever done, said, or even thought. These threads reached deep into his past, present, or perhaps even future. They were connetced to every step he had taken, every word he had spoken, and every decision he had made.

He saw himself as a child in the world of mortals. This was his first life. He was holding someone’s hand. That small choice led to a meeting, that meeting led to a friendship, and that friendship gave rise to events he had long forgotten. Now, those forgotten events had shaped the very path he stood upon today.

The scene shifted a world he could not recognize, but he was present there as well. This world was both familiar to him and not. This world was the Mortal World where Lu Moyu used to live. He watched as a single act of kindness he once gave to a stranger resulted in that stranger later saving someone else’s life. He saw how one careless decision caused a chain of suffering that spread like ripples through time.

Emrys watched as his every action, no matter how small, created a reaction. His every choice, no matter how hidden, bore fruit and gave some sort of result. His every cause had an effect, and every effect had a cause.

In this moment, Emrys felt as if he was being judged by an invisible power, a power that he could not understand at all.

Emrys witnessed the threads stretching into the future too. He saw shadows of events yet to happen or destined to happen. He saw events with multiple possiblities, and events that had only one outcome.

Emrys again felt that he had gained comprehension into the Absolute Rule of Cause and Effect, but exactly at this moment, the gained insight disappeared just like before. He forgot everything he understood just a moment.

All those threads stretching out of him vanished like they were never there befoe.

Emrys could no longer remember exactly what he had seen, but deep inside him, a trace of the Absolute Rule of Cause and Effect remained firmly etched into his being and his Cosmic Essence Core.

It was also at this time that the fourth light belonging to the Absolute Rule of Creation and Destruction descended onto him.

Just like that, Emrys started comprehending one Absolute Rule after another before forgetting everything. In the end, he only managed to integrate a trace of these rules with his body and Cosmic Essence Core.

When the ninth Absolute Rule of Eternity integrated with him, the already dark sky suddenly rumbled loudly. During this rumble, it was unknown when the projection of the huge tree disappeared. No one was able to see or sense anything. Everyone were still in the deep state of enlightenment. Such a phenomena had never appeared in any Cosmic Battlefield before, or perhaps, it’ll never appear in the future as well.

While the sky rumbled like a dragon’s furious roar, a huge transformation was happening inside Emrys’s body. His Cosmic Essence Core was rapidly evolving. It was expanding crazily and even the inner world was going through a huge transformation.

Earlier, the Cosmic Essence Core was like a huge world, but now, it was more like a universe as countless new worlds were born, void appeared, nebulas, galaxies, starfield, and more slowly made their appearance. Moreover, it seems "time" was on rise. In an instant, billions of years elapsed and slowly, life was born.

To Emrys’s shock, four creatures were born alltogether. They were the Void Phoenix, Eternal Abyss Cursed Dragon, Ice Pegasus, and Lightning Wraith. These four creatures used to be Emrys’s Soul Spirits, however, they were devoured by his new Soul Spirit. He never expected to see them again. Even more so, he never expected them to be born as the firstborn creatures of his newly evolved Cosmic Essence Core.

As the inner world of Emrys’s Cosmic Essence Core transformed into a vast inner universe, he suddenly noticed a small tree taking root in the very center of that universe. Its roots didn’t stay in one place but spread out like a divine web, reaching into every corner of this newly formed cosmos.

These roots passed through galaxies, wrapped around nebulas, and even threaded through black holes and starfields. It felt as if they were stitching together space and time. They glowed with a mysterious light and carried the presence of frightening comprehensive power. Wherever they touched, the stars shone brighter, the planets became more stable, and time flowed more smoothly.

This tree was the Timeless Enlightenment Tree, once hidden deep within Emrys’s soul. Now, it had appeared within the cosmos that his Cosmic Essence Core had evolved into.

Moreover, as it appeared and its roots reached out to every corner of this newly evolved cosmos, it also started growing crazily. At the same time, the power of Timeless Elightenment flowing within Emrys’s body and blood suddenly gained a boost, and Emrys once again entered the state of enlightenment.

While in that state, Emrys was unaware of when it began, but he had started circulating ⟪Silent Devourer of All Paths⟫. Its devouring power extended into a hidden red space where Lu Moyu’s soul was sealed by runic chains. Originally, there had been nine chains, each representing a part of Lu Moyu’s abyssal soul. However, Emrys had already devoured and fused with three of those soul fragments, leaving only six remaining. Now, as the devouring power reached that sealed space, Lu Moyu suddenly felt himself being slowly consumed once again.

"Wh-What is happening?"

Lu Moyu opened his red eyes as he felt his essence and soul slowly being pulled away, devoured by an invisible force. What terrified him even more was that this devouring power was growing stronger with each passing second, as if it were evolving, or someone was actively reinforcing it.
