Delegating task

This is something he could do but his father rarely could do

His father has a lot of talents but it is precisely because of this he usually is the one doing most thing.

It is not that his father did not know that he needs to delegate things.

It is not that he could not trust other people.

It is just that he knows more and the stake is high and so his heart could not be settled unless she himself doing the deeds and make sure everything is following the plans that he set out

His father himself said even when he delegates stuff, it has already been confirmed by him multiple times.

Only after repeated confirmation and revising did his father delegate stuff. The genius of his father, he never made anyone feel like he is questioning their abilities.

But Chayun knows his own abilities.

And his father also knows ad that is why his father told him, what he could not do, he could do.

Trust the people, because the legacy of his father is still strong

Chayun return back to his tent.

There are still many things to think about, the war is still ongoing, but for tonight.... just tonight, he wanted to drink and look at the moon, and listen to the singing of the wind....to grieve his father.

That night, Chayun returns to his tent, and he picked up the Limbe (flute) the melancholic melody echoes around his tent and those who is near the tent heard it and they knows that the chief is mourning his father

Someone beside a fireplace heard the song and close his eyes. It is an old man. Seeing the vicissitudes of life, he had seen how Chadha transformed the tribe and the glory of the tribe that he had elevated

All the young spoke of Chadha with reverence, but he remembers during those long years of passivity all the young feel the old chief is unambitious

Who knows how many things the old chief had sacrificed for the tribe? The young remember the victories and the battle, each one boasting about their war achievement, how many herds they caught, how many riches they rob, and how many people they killed.

But the old man remembers the peace.

"The old chief chained himself on this tribe because he wanted to. If he were more ruthless, the one that would shake the world would be the old chief. I hope you would not regret, old chief. I still remember the piece of meat all those winters ago"

He remembers how those decades long winter nearly kills him and his family, the chief come to his house and redistribute the meat of his own Tayak and roasted ten of his own Tayak so that the people of the tribe would not die because of the winter.

The old man remembers how Chadha goes to help find materials for tents and the sacrifices that the chief himself made.

He did not say it, but those who knows, knows, Chadha is a one-of-a-kind leader. Never before in the history of Chagai tribe, that the people feel the care this much from their chief. And hence, they could know. π—³π«πšŽπ—²πš πšŽπ—―π•Ÿπ¨π˜ƒπšŽπ—Ή.𝗰𝗼𝗺

Now, that person had died and the old man could not help but feeling like his heart has lose something.

And the old man went to his tent and bring out his horsehead fiddle.

He sat in front of the fire pit and he started playing it.

The melody is a melody everyone knows. It is a song for the warrior. So, a warrior could rest their horses, put down their weapons and could rest in peace.

The sound echoes and more people heard it and someone brought out the Yatga(zither), someone brought out a Tobshuur (two stringed plucked instrument) and someone sings the song

And before one could know it those who have benefited from the kindness of the old chief, all could not help but cry. Some sobs silently and some cries.

And inside the tent of Chayun, he did not hear all of this music and he did not hear all of this sobbing.

He only hears his own playing. The sound of the flutes, bringing out melody of a long song

He wanted the world at peace, he wanted the tribe to be at peace, playing the flute in a peaceful environment

All the thoughts of glory and fame.... youthful indiscretion

Now that he is the chief, it is like there is a mountain behind his back.

And now, he knows why he was never afraid, never uncertain, never hesitate before. Because his father was there.

Knowing responsibilities, he knows fear, knowing power, he become humble.

His father gives the tribe to him because of this. Because his father knew that with him on the helm, he might not bring this tribe to glory or to contend for the world, but he would make the best decision to save the tribe.

And right now, Chayun is crying. His eyes are crying, droplets of tears are dropping like rain from where he is standing and playing his flute. There is no sobbing, there is no screaming, only this sad melody that lingers in the air

"His warhorses fly through the Steppe, his heroes subdued all the heroes, his words calm the world"

His father is a great hero of the world! And the Heavens are jealous!

And the tears keep falling.

...

The funeral was held, the air is filled with wind, dust and the smell of horse sweats and blood.

There is drumming, the echoes linger in the air with every hit, the throat chants induce crying, Tayaks were sacrificed, warriors stand silent, and the funeral procession and rituals is done by the Ashana

The Khan came, true to his promises only one hundred men accompany him. He enters the funeral area alone.

Chayun did not kill Aeryon and he did not order any killing

Both of them shake their hand, Aeryon give a speech

He extolled the virtue of Chadha and he said if he was under him, he would be given a great posthumous title, and name him the Duke of Chagai, his territory reaches the upper north, pointing toward the Central Great Steppe.

To the people of the Steppe, this is a weird, odd but something completely novel.

They are at war with each other, but Aeryon after listening that Chadha death did not feel happy, nor did he send anyone to attack the tribe, instead he seems truly mournful of Chadha death

He even extolled many of Chadha virtues and even give him a title of Duke of Chagai.

Others did not notice but Chalik and Chabur, the brothers of Chayun notices it.

In the words of the Khan, these words served to pacify the hearts of the Chagai tribe but also to give dreams of the people of Chagai.

Painting a pie in the sky

A territory spanning the north, pointing toward the Central Steppe......isn’t that saying the Nergui and Ultar tribe should be under the Chagai tribe?

All of the Chagai tribe knows they are powerful now.

But to defeat these two tribes?

They could not do that.

If they could do that, Chief Chadha would not ally with those two.

Instead, it is because of those two, that Chagai could reach this level and expand without having any risk and without suffering

Chalik and Chabur seems to be opening the tribe to negotiations.

Now, he is even talking about enfeoffing titles.

However, if they accept the title, they would not only be saying they submit under the Brolgadhr rule, they also would gain two more enemies.

Nergui and Ultar tribe would become an enemy.

Chalik and Chabur have different thoughts and intention about this matter. Chalik did not think this title should be taken. Not only it should not be taken, Chayun should quickly rebuke it.

If this is heard by the other two tribes, cracks will appear.

"What a sinister intention!" even though the Khan only speaks a few words, and even though the words all seems to be extolling their father, hidden behind his words are sinister intention, sowing discords.

Chabur on the other hand thinks differently.

He looks at his brother, Chayun and look at the Khan.

Chayun face changes slightly when he heard the Khan said such words about enfeoffing his father as a Duke.

He did not know how such title is decided in Brolgadhr but they know such title must be a powerful and high title

Chabur could see that his brother Chayun is not ignorant. But his brother did not stop Aeryon saying such things.

"Brother what are you thinking?"

Chabur knows why his father choose Chayun. He also knows about his other brothers and he also could see himself objectively.

So, he knows why the other brother is not chosen and why he is not chosen. Chabur did not care that much because he had never coveted that title and never coveted that power

But does everything think the same

All of his older brothers....do none of them have ambitions?

Chabur knows given the right circumstances, all of his brother could be influenced to covet for that place
