What Do You Mean I Have Nine Wives?
Chapter 70: Back Home
"Young Master, how should I reply?"
Daisy didn’t care about his cursing. She just wanted to beat those fishman.
Unfortunately for her, Tyler controlled his anger and said.
"Tell them it is impossible to hold a meeting underwater, but we can hold this meeting near the sea."
Hearing that, Daisy frowned.
"Young Master, why should we lower ourselves to make peace with them? With our current forces, we can easily wipe them out if they ever leave the ocean."
Tyler waved his hand.
"You are looking at it from the wrong perspective, Daisy. They are united. We are not."
Daisy paused while Alfred explained.
"Young Lady, fishman have powerhouses above the Soul Sublimation Realm. If we attract their attention, it will be devastating for us."
"Unless they threaten the entire human society, those hidden masters will not appear to help us."
"And since we are at the forefront of this war, we will suffer major losses and be forced to leave this place."
"Young Master wants to buy as much time as possible. So, it’s best not to have any conflict with them."
Tyler raised his hand and pointed at the destroyed area. It wasn’t a complete forest, but there were a lot of trees around this place.
But now, there was not a single tree left. At least, not at the place where Porty swung his dagger.
"That’s bigger than Coastal City. The Soul Sublimation Realm cultivator might not be able to do this, but an Inner World Formation Realm cultivator can." 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
"In that case, even if we use your powers to run away, the entire Coastal City will be destroyed in an instant."
"That’s a problem! We can transfer people, but we can’t abandon those mines yet. So no matter what, we must make sure the war doesn’t start soon."
"Especially now that we will not be dual cultivating, your progress will be much slower."
Hearing that, Elena and Daisy nodded.
They also understood the implication behind his words. If they could dual cultivate, they didn’t need to worry about anything.
They could just hide for a few days, dual-cultivate and improve their realms before fighting back.
But now that Tyler couldn’t dual cultivate with them, their normal cultivation would take a long time.
And that was a problem.
Their enemies weren’t just gonna wait for them to get stronger. They would storm in and destroy everything.
Tyler knew the complication of making an alliance with other races, but he had no choice.
Even if he couldn’t form an alliance, he had to make sure the fishmen didn’t fall for such an obvious trap.
That also meant he would be revealing some information about his place, which could backfire on him in the worst way possible.
So, he planned to take things slower.
It had been over a month since he stopped cultivating. Within this month, the Fire Empress hadn’t spoken a single word.
He could wait, but he also wanted things to progress faster.
But because they could probably sense his emotions, Tyler was trying to act as calm as before.
"We are finished here. Let’s return to the city!"
Tyler and his group returned to the city. The journey took them quite some time, especially since they were tired.
Especially Tyler.
That battle was probably the hardest battle he had ever fought. Not because he didn’t have the strength to fight Porty.
But because they were almost equal in power.
Tyler had used all of his trump, but what stunned him was that he didn’t even get to know Porty’s technique.
Although it was a C-Grade technique, it could be anything.
As they returned to the mansion, they went to their rooms, cleaned themselves, and finally came to the dinner table.
Mary had already prepared their food, so she quickly started serving them. It was good food, so they ate it with gusto.
"Young Master, how was the battle?"
Finally, Gravin couldn’t hold back his curiosity and asked.
Shibyo also tilted his head towards him.
Nezumi wasn’t present here. After their battle ended, Alfred collected their corpses at Tyler’s request.
Alfred felt disgusted about the idea of giving humans to Nezumi, but Tyler convinced him with a single sentence.
If you can eat monsters’ meat, why can’t monsters eat humans?
It wasn’t about morality or personal feelings. This was simply how things existed.
By consuming their bodies, Nezumi might not receive the same benefits as consuming a Third Rank monster beast.
But those were still Soul Sublimation Realm cultivators. Their flesh and blood were still potent for a Second Rank beast.
"Even though they were strong, we had a major advantage with our techniques. They were unable to do anything."
"But according to Alfred, his opponent managed to send a piece of information back to the family."
"That means they know one thing about us. We don’t know what that is."
Tyler replied.
Hearing that, Garvin asked.
"How strong were they?"
"Five of them! One at the late stage of the Soul Sublimation Realm, one at the middle stage of the Sublimation Realm, and three at the early stage."
Hearing that, Garvin was stunned.
He never thought the enemies would be so strong. If he had gone for that battle, he would’ve died for sure.
Afterward, Tyler talked about their matchups, where each person chimed in to discuss their advantages.
For example, Alfred relied on a talisman and artifact to get an easy win.
Without those things, he wouldn’t have lost, but that wouldn’t have been an easy battle.
Unlike him, Daisy relied more on her technique. She also used the Arctic Bow to amplify the power of her ice mana.
But what she truly relied on was her spatial technique.
Elena’s battle was rather simple. She relied on her technique and a special artifact known as Dark Orb.
It was a fourth-grade artifact that amplified the power of her technique.
More importantly, it was an artifact that could evolve. She found this artifact when she had already awakened her ability.
It existed within her blood.
But after years of infusing it with Dark Energy, she had only upgraded it to Second Grade.
It was only when her technique evolved that she managed to raise the artifact to Fourth Grade.
"Artifacts are indeed amazing! Unfortunately, you can only use them at the Soul Sublimation Realm."
Garvin showed a look of envy when talking about this realm.
Because of the existence of the Spiritual Sense, they could not only control these artifacts but, using spiritual energy, they could also improve their strength.
That’s what made them so much more powerful than the Treasured Body Realm.
If Porty weren’t at the early stage of the Soul Sublimation Realm, he would’ve defeated Tyler with ease.
Because he was at an early stage, he couldn’t absorb a lot of spiritual energy from his soul to enhance his mana.
Otherwise, it would damage his soul.
"Young Master, I think we shouldn’t contact the fishman anymore."
Daisy, who had been silent for a while, suddenly spoke.
Her words made Tyler frown while Elena angrily scolded her.
"How dare you disobey Young Master’s command?"
"Elena, shut up!"
Tyler glared at her before turning towards Daisy.
"Why?"
Unlike Elena, Daisy was a woman who had grown from nothing to so much.
She not only reached the Soul Sublimation Realm but also acquired a fourth-grade artifact.
If she hadn’t taken the opportunity to serve him, much less the fourth grade, she wouldn’t even have a third-grade artifact.
Because all of her resources would be spent on improving her realm.
"The war between fishman and humans will benefit us."
Daisy’s words were cold-blooded.
Louis and Lennie felt a bit disgusted towards her, but they didn’t speak. Daisy was not only Tyler’s lover, but she was also stronger than their father.
Seeing his attention, Daisy continued.
"I know you are worried about powerful individuals attacking our city, but we can redirect this conflict towards the east."
"Jack has already sent information back to the Austin-Turnip Families. We don’t know their next move, but we do know the market."
"If this war starts, the demand for Yellowstone Ore would grow significantly. More importantly, with this chaos, we don’t need to send the ore back to the main family."
Hearing her words, Tyler narrowed his eyes.
"What do you mean?"
Daisy tapped the table before taking out a map from her spatial ring. It was a large map, with several lands separated by lines.
Some lines were just lines, while other lines were rivers and mountains.
[Red Hog Country] [Green River Country] [White Mustang Country] [Golden Horn Country] [Dark Raven Country] [Purple Cloud Country] [Yellow Sand Country]
Seven countries immediately came to their attention because of their proximity to Red Hog Country.
"Golden Horn Country, Purple Cloud Country, and White Mustang Country have been in war for decades."
"This war is both internal and external. Because of this, they often buy weapons from other countries."
"If we get a surplus of those ores, why not sell them to these countries?"
